Good location, Good value for business traveller ”
Olive Tree hotel is a relatively a new hotel (3 years old) and near to airport and to Bayan Lepas area. Thus making visit to customers very convenient. Grab ride from airport to hotel costs only RM 7. The hotel offers free transport to airport at schedule time. Rate is very reasonable with clean and big room. I have good service from the moment i checked in to services provided by the conceierge. In specific, Mr Chong from concierge recommends good place for local food plus going the extra miles to provide excellent services. I strongly recommend this hotel to business traveller.

We chose Olive Tree because it is near to our client office in Bayan Lepas. For traveler, it is a bit far from city center (i.e. Georgetown) - dont worry, Penang has Grab to bring you around if you are not driving. Nonetheless, this hotel is very near to the airport.

It was truly a pleasure staying that Olive Tree Hotel. The hotel is 100% smoking free. Staff are friendly. Hotel is clean. Rooms are spacious and very modern in design. Amenities are well maintained. They have a large gym to work out in. The pool is equally nice to be at. It is located in a very new and upcoming area within Penang, so there arent many shops open as of now. So getting food out of the hotel was a bit difficult. The parking was free, but extremely narrow, which I think needs to be looked into.

1. Friendly staff who really take good care of your requirements 2. Clean and spacious room with awesome view of Spice of Arena 3. Breakfast taste really good 4. Free parking, just have to be careful while go up and down to the lvl because sharing same lane 5. Security guard remind you about sharp corner exit, thank you so much 6. Location wise, you can easily found the hotel with driving, Grab/Taxi know it 7. Nearby attraction, Pisa Corner food court (awesome food with a lot of varieties) ; Sunshine Square (Local supermarket with reasonable price of items) ; Moim located at Elite (very traditional Korean lunch and dinner served, price a bit expensive but the taste is superb good) 8. Everything was perfect except the pillow is way toooo soft & cant support the neck, the room offer 2 pillow for each people, may be you can offer 1 soft & 1 not too soft pillow to fit the needs Overall it is a very good experience for me and my partner, we love it! I have stayed at the Olive Tree Hotel in Penang multiple time and will continue to do so. The hotel provides a quiet getaway with multiple restaurants within easy walking distance of the Hotel. There is a fantastic wine store right around the corner that has great wines at affordable prices and also serves very good food. The Olive Tree has very comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. I recommend this hotel.

The staffs are so friendly and helpful, the room is so clean and comfortable with a very nice view (90° view). We was there for anniversary celebration, the hotel staffs surprise us with some lovely room decoration, we totally love it very much! Due to COVID-19 situation, we are unable to have breakfast buffet at the restaurant, but the hotel treat us ‘breakfast on the bed’ and that was so nice too! Good service, friendly staff, worth the money”
This is my second time staying at Olive Tree. I love how the management is meticulous to my request and they provided what I requested (in terms of room and location). The room is spacious and the bed is super comfy. The staff from the front desk to the doorman always have a smile on their faces. Less than 50 meters away (just beside the hotel), you can enjoy roti canai. If you like a western breakfast, there are many restaurants nearby that opens at 9 am. The hotel provides free shuttle to the airport, town and nearby mall too. Will definitively go stay in this hotel again. Value for money.

Staff better than management”
I stayed at Olive Tree Hotel for the Asia Pacific Master Games 2018. It was a recommend hotel from the APMG organizers for the swimmers. Upon arriving the hotel was not really prepared for athlets coming or prepared for the APMG. Only on the second day the hotel arranged for free shuttle service to the Relau Sport complex - as it was promised by the APMG organizers. The concierge was better than the management and saved with his attitude the hotel's reputation, when personally using the hotel car to carry the athlets to their competition. From day 3 onwards the hotel had organized its shuttle service. Another disappointment was that the hotel's swimming pool was closed completely. It was on argument for me to select it, when booking. But the booking confirmation did not say a word, that the swimming pool was closed for maintenance. Again, the management of the hotel should have known, that maintainance of a swimming pool should not be at the same time when swimming athlets visit.

We went to Penang for 2018 New Year holiday and stayed at Four Points by Sheraton Penang for 2 nights which disappointed us to the maximum. Thus, we decided to stay one more night at somewhere else. At the end, we chose Olive Tree Hotel and this was a very satisfying one. The room came with very large windows at two sides, with very good design in the bathroom. We were surprised at how big and comfortable the room was, and the cleanliness impressed us as well. This hotel is surrounded with many restaurants and cafes. We tried the Lebanese food, charcoal pizza and juicy beef burger. All those food were very delicious and made us extremely satisfied. Though the location is a bit off, it is still very far from town if you have a car. This hotel can definitely satisfy you.

We spent 3d2n there. The swimming pool is at conmfortable size for family. Breakfast has many varieties and it is included in the rate. I feel the quality of the breakfast is like 5 star hotel. I like the hotel very much. The name of the hotel makes think of a famous Chinese writer. T only realized that when I saw the olive tree decoration in front of the hotel.

Ideal hotel when you fly in to Penang ”
Staff were friendly and cordial. Services were prompt and well managed. The room was spacious, clean, neat and well furnished. Many eateries line the road in front of and behind the hotel. The issue we faced were with the TV and cable TV- Astro. Either due to weather or loose cables, the image was blurry and dotted. We had otherwise great time in Penang and Olive Tree.

Good value for a nice, fairly new, clean hotel. Comparable to other 4star hotels and lower price than most. Pro for me is close to Bayan Lepas factories so short drive to work. Possible downside depending on your preference is limited restaurants etc in walking distance but there is a good food court for local foods nearby.

Possibly The Best Value For Money Hotel in Bayan Baru”
An excellent hotel if you have business to attend to in the Bayan Lepas/Bayan Baru area.The view from the room window is short of breathtaking. Very friendly and helpful staff. As for food, there is a mamak restaurant just next to the hotel and a food court within a 10-minute walk across the road from the hotel. We had an enjoyable one-night stay here.

New hotel with great facilities. The room design is simple yet modern. Quite comfortable. The only con is that the hairdryer is not that strong. 3 mins walk to nearby hawker centres and restaurant. Recommended for business travelers that work in Bayan Lepas area.

Very Close to Bayan Lepas”
Good location if you have work in Bayan Lepas Industrial Zone. Wifi is not so great, so you might have issues if you decide to work from your room. Big breakfast spread, but almost the same menu every time. Close to Giant supermarket and many eateries around. Decent hotel for the price and location
