Happy Return to Mae Ramphueng”

Have stayed at Ohanna once before and was delighted to be going back. The resort is about a hundred yards from the Rayong end of Mae Ramphueng beach and close to some excellent sea food restaurants. Room was very comfortable, with very efficient air-con and had access to a lovely private area on the roof. No complaints whatever, however, a couple of points to consider; the beach is spectacular, but very big. Is a good idea to have your own transport. Also if you have a disability or struggle with steps, might be a good idea to go for one of the garden villa's rather than the other room options. Other than that, no negatives and look forward to going back for my next visit.

Will definitely revisit. I stayed there for 4 days with my friend before going to Koh Samet Island. The location is quite remote and it is not close to Rayong city center or Banphe pier but the place itself was enough for us to get chilled and relaxed. There is a beach just a few steps away from the resort with many local seafood restaurants which you can have dinner with the sea view. Though it is not the proper sand beach like Koh Samet it was great to take a stroll with a great sunset. And we really enjoy swimming in the pool inside the resort and killing time at the restaurant with cats and doggy there. Now I am at Ko Samet but I already miss the resort, which is silent and not crowdy. Also, the staff was very nice as well. They are very kind and always wear a smile. The breakfast was decent. We kept repeating the routine of eating, swimming, taking a walk and sleeping. It was really perfect for lazy travelers like us.

Hidden gem!”

Really pleased to have found this resort in Rayong, its a fantastic place with a really nice feel and atmosphere created by the attentive staff and owner. The resort is about 100m from the beach and lots of good sea food restaurants so despite no sea view its fine. The pools are great especially the one with natural rocks and imitation sand, probably the best pool I have been in. The rooms are very well built with great beds and showers and everything you need is there. Will definitely be going back again and recommending it to our friends, thanks for a lovely stay.

Ohana Resort Rayong”

very pleasant stay! Rayong is more for local people's holiday choice. we as foreigners went there during the week days, so there were not many people at all! the hotel is very close to the beach! nice and very friendly staff. rooms are nice and clean. I really enjoyed the idea of the pools were in the middle of houses. and there were a few animals, deers, peacock, dog, cat, fish and birds! so eco-friendly! I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends. However, only one thing need to remind to those who only like city feel. There is not much business going on around the hotel and the beach. It is just a nice beach and quite stay! I enjoyed it and hope you do too! thanks to the staff!

Going-to-be-great resort, nice room, nice staff”

this was my second time to ohana. this time the resort is undergoing many major renovations in the public areas, so many "not so beautiful" sites can be seen around the resort. we didn't know this in advance, so, it was a bit surprise in a bad way. but other than the renovation, the resort is vey nice. nice room, nice pool, nice service... i'm sure that when the renovations are done. it will still be my first choice for rayong.

Beautiful oasis.”

Perfect to relax. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. We had no trouble, with the understanding because my wife is Thai. The hotel is very clean and perfect, with its two swimming pools for relaxation. Rayong itself and the beach on the other hand might not be everyone's thing. I would recommend to travel by car, then you are much more flexible, if you want to do something outside the hotel.

Nice resort - quiet ”

Rayong beach has niece clean water but the beach itself has a bit of rubbish...quiet place to relax for a few days. Plenty of seafood restaurants on the beach with yummy fresh seafood. Tge rooms are clean and roomy enough. The swimming pools are good. The breakfast at Ohana is good and staff friendly however don't recommend eating there for dinner as food not that good.

Weekend Stay at Ohana Resort”

Excellent stay at the Ohana Resort Hotel! I would definitely go back. Great service from very charming people. Spent an entire day without leaving the complex and enjoyed its very relaxing setting. The only improvements would be to the poor Internet connection (didn't always work) and its slow speed, as well as the cable TV didn't always work either. But all in all, a great weekend getaway!

Great Getaway with a fantastic pool”

We had an excellent long weekend stay at Ohana resort and enjoyed the vicinity to the beach, the excellent seafood and the jacuzzi on the balcony. The roof of the room had a moon bed - for star gazing - which was great. Would recommend this for families with young children.

Excellent spot right next to Hat Mae Ramphueng beach”

Stayed here for 10 nights during a longer holiday in Thailand. Arrived early (10:30ish) fully expecting to be asked to wait but was pleasantly surprised when they checked us in straight away. Facilities are excellent and both the pools are very clean and well maintained. The staff couldn't do enough to oblige, and were very friendly and helpful - were also three dogs who were equally friendly! Hat Mae Rampheung beach is about 2 minutes walk away and there are some excellent seafood restaurants on the beach which have entertainment on most nights. Overall, this place was excellent value and was quiet and very relaxing. The only point to consider, is if you are planning a longer stay it's useful to either have a car or a samlor for getting about. Although there are plenty of restaurants and bars near to Ohana, the sheer size of the beach means transport - other than Shanks' pony - is a must.

Quality Affordable Hotel Resort with Great Staff”

Originally had booked for 3 days because of some of the comments shown in the Review, but after our experience booked 2 more days through Agoda. Pools were great, room fantastic but I would like to focus on the Staff, my partner (Thai Lady) and I found the staff to be absolutely top quality, Restaurant staff (breakfast) were eager to please, Reception staff ever so obliging, even when my Internet was having trouble (my fault), Van came to our Room to fix it. Nuged, at the swim-in Bar was friendly and efficient also. Overall, the Staff were excellent and I quickly came to the conclusion that if you treat your Hosts with respect and are friendly towards them, then that's what you will receive in return. Well done and Thank You for an enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend this Hotel / Resort and would certainly stay again

value for money”

We stayed at 5 different resorts over 3 weeks. Ohanna was probably the best value for money. Get the tidy room as it's much better value than the standard. Two fantastic pools,one salt water with sand, the kids will love it. It's great for a 3-4 day stay, 2 great pools and walking distance to the beach. Not a lot on offer at the beach if you don't like sea food but it's a 10 ten minute drive to some local bars. Restaurant is plain and simple, you might want to eat out. The price of beer is a joke so buy at the local shop and drink on your balcony overlooking the pools. Great place for a short stay.

Nicely made up but language problems”

Now I understand why I see so few farangs here. Average wait outside of the resort for a public bus is anything from 20 mins to 30 mins. Resort staff were very patient trying to explain Rayong's sights to my wife (Thai). It was unfortunate they could not converse in English. Seeing that we had no transport, they ferried us into Rayong City for some exploring and also to the bus terminal to catch a bus back to bangkok when we checked out. Most holidaymakers in Rayong are the Thais themselves and they have their own vehicles to move around. It's a shame because even though I did not go to many places, Rayong is such a charming place. Cheap seafood! Very very kind souls in Rayong! Just to cite one example of kindness we received, we went to Ban Phe market by the blue songthaew (public bus), directed by locals. As the songthaew's route did not pass by Ban Phe market, we had to get down at one of the roads. We asked the a food stall seller at the roadside and he immediately offered to bring us there on his motorcycle. Not once did he asked us to pay him. Oh and did I mention cheap seafood?

Valued, Good breackfast and facility”

Location, facility and co-space are great. All room type are private and has nice decoration. You can just stay at resort for swimming, eating and walk 200 meters to get good seafood at the beach. They have small number of rooms but large swimming pools, garden, big breackfast menu and own buid up beach. So, this make this resort not rushing even on long plublic holiday. It a bit old with new renovation. Some light or pipe need to be fixed but everything okay and very fine to stay. Recommended.

very nice place”

The garden and pools are so delicately designed, very beautiful. Room is clean and spacious, no mosquitos, there were geckos and ants in the room, but they were generally harmless. TV channels are all local TV shoppings, all crap, and wifi doesn't work in the room. Since there's nothing else you can do for amusement in the evening, this is a minus. The Lam mae phueng beach is 3-minutes of walk away, but the beach is occupied from one side by local seafood restaurants, and they apparently don't take good care of their garbages. So swimming in the sea here is not preferrable, we mostly swam in the hotel pools, which is good enough. Breakfast is good, with decent choices. Since we'd verified the sanitary condition there, we had lunch and suppers there too, food is fresh and tasty with reasonable price. Much more reliable than the local restaurants around. The stuff is well worth mentioning, they are smiling and helpful all the time, although not all of them speak English well.

Fantastic Pool..Nice Canopy room”

fantastic pool.. it's look like you play on the beach. the canopy room is really nice, this room have private roof. but i really don't like a rain shower in bathroom so i have to take a real shower at bathtub in balcony and people who stay outside can see you. bad thing that i got in this trip : i had late check in (11.30 p.m.) but i already inform the manager after i booked this hotel from agoda. but when i arrive the hotel, nobody in there except security guard who did't help us everything. we have to take all luggage by ourself. and he check on computer and he said, not have my name in guest list!! how can i do on midnight? so i said i paid for room already by agoda, so he take us to the room. but he don't know how to use the keycard ..how to change the new data on the card, so we have to wait in front of the room for 2 time. we're so tried because of drive so far and just back from go to pray the buddha on top of the hill before come here. i'm so angry for this situation and ask him to called the manager. next 10 min the manager come for clear everything for us and apologize . he's really polite with us and he make us feel so mush better and comedown!! i told my boyfriend that the manager just save this hotel from me hahahaha....... he buy the late dinner for us without charge anything. in the morning, i asked him what happen on last night. he said, agoda send e-mail confirmation to hotel office in bangkok. but the office did't send it to the hotel in rayong!!!

Nice Hotel”

This place was nice in my opinion. From first looks it was one of those uh oh moments but when you go into the actual resort area it was great. It wasn't a big place but the pool and rooms made up for it. I stayed in one of the bigger villas on the top floor that had a rooftop balcony where you had a view of the ocean. Hotel was very clean and comfortable.Staff were good. Location to the beaches was great but its a ways from the city. Taxi service there isn't great and fairly expensive. WiFi was pretty much non existent in the room but worked at the dining area. The breakfast was good. It was my first time in area with wife and small child and would definitely stay there again if I just want to hit the beaches and relax

Visiting from sweden, been to Thailand 6 Times’. This place is so Beautiful and the staff is very kindly and helpful, always a smile when you meet them. I will for sure come back. One of the best resorts i have been to. The scenery is Fantastic with all the greenery and Beautiful flowers. The pool is outstanding with saltwater and its white sand on the bottom. It feels like beeing right on the beach. The breakfast is great with alot to choose from and the food here is very tasty. Close to the beach with many seafood restaurants. This resort is Really an amazing place!

Heaven on earth”

This resort is so peaceful and relaxing, after 2 weeks of a road trip from Bangkok to Chang Rai this was heaven on earth for our last 5 days. The resort is very natural, super clean, with very friendly staff. The sand bottom pool is to die for on a hot day, we were just happy to sit in it for most of the day. Room was awesome, would recommend to anyone wanting to wind down after travelling, or even honeymooners.
