Great hotel within walking distance to all”
We had a 'lakeside room' at Novotel Queenstown, but as it was on the 3rd floor and there was a park between the hotel and the lake, we didn't actually see the lake -- there were too many trees blocking the view. Also, the park is public and our balcony was just at its edge, so it can be very noisy if there are large groups of people playing games, yelling/screaming in the morning or afternoon (it was Christmas time so there were a lot of people out and about). However, the room itself was very spacious, modern, clean and wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The morning breakfast was plentiful with many options.

Location, location, location”
If you like being close to the center of town, where you walk out of the lobby and right into the festivities, then this hotel can't be beat. We came here for our honeymoon, and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The best part about Queenstown for us is walking around town and going jogging lakeside, and Novotel was the perfect location from which to do both. The room itself wasn't especially fancy or spacious, but good enough since we spent most of our time out and about.

Excellent hotel, good value”
We had a fantastic 6 nights at the Novotel Queenstown./ The location is excellent, right on the lakeside, with nice views from the balcony. We got upgraded to a deluxe room on floor 4 which was superb. Very large, clean, modern and tastefully decorated with a huge bed and separate seating area. The staff are very friendly, very helpful and efficient. I would stay again in an instant - not a single complaint!

Excellent Stay with perfect location”
Lake and town centre is few steps away from this hotel! Though we did not stay at a room with lakeside view, we are glad that we chose Novotel for our 4 nights stay in Queenstown. 5 mins walk to Ferg burger, 1 min to Cookie Bar and 10 mins to Gondola. Room is clean and the staffs are very friendly and informative, especially the Assistant Manager. We are so glad that we had you to serve us during the 4 nights stay.

Queenstown Novotel”
We stayed at the Novotel in Queenstown for 3 nights in February 2010, and it was the perfect base for all that we had planned to do while in Queenstown. The staff were very helpful, and the concierge staff were very knowledgeable and helpful when advising on options available for trips and activities in and around Queenstown. The hotel is very new and clean and the standards throughout are of a very high standard.

Clean, comfortable, central with attentive staff”
We (me, my wife and our infant son) spent one night in at the Novotel Queenstown while we were travelling home, via the airport in Queenstown. We had already spent a few days in Queenstown a week prior so weren't there this time for any sight seeing etc, and stayed in a room with a queen and single bed. The hotel staff were very friendly and efficient - they gave our son a toy upon checkin, had the requested cot ready, took our bags to/from our rooms without any delay, had our car ready without much notice, tried to fix the exterior door when we brought it to their attention - albeit unsuccessfully, and delivered room service promptly. The Novotel rose gardens are lovely, and the location is as close to the action of Queenstown as you can get. The hotel met (but did not exceed) my expectations and is of a quality I expect from a international brand such as this. In my opinion there are some better options in Queenstown for the same cost but for the most part this is a pretty good hotel to stay in, especially for a short stay close to the action.

Helpful front desk staff and Excellent Location”
The front desk staff Queenie is very helpful and polite , she recommended us a lot of nice dining area in Queenstown and also provides us a lots of local insight for that area. The hotel location is superb as it is near to the town and near to the Queenstown garden which has an excellent view over the Queenstown. Overall the hotel room is superb clean and will definitely come back again. The hotel also has laundry machine and dryer which cost NZD4.

Great location, Clean and confortable stay”
We stayed 3 nights at the Novotel in Queenstown and we really enjoyed it. The hotel is located in the centre so it was very easy to walk around. Everything was good except (as usual) internet access and paid parking. We appreciated their efforts to keep the high standard but felt bit unconfortable that they do it all for money. We were asked to pay anything we could get free from other hotels such as internet, parking, etc. Staff were very helpful.

Great location and very speedy services”
the novotel was conveniently located in the heart of queenstown with everything at your doorstep. the rooms were clean and spacious, and the services were super prompt. the only drawback is that it can become quite busy at the service desks and in the lobby area. it is not great for wifi usage as you only get 8mb per day before you are charged, and the complimentary computers are often busy (although there is a 20min maximum cut out time).

Exceptional”
Great location in Queenstown, the town is 1-minute's walk and the courtyard opens up to the Queenstown beach and trail so it was easy to go for morning walks/runs. Staff were very friendly and the room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and beats out some 5-star hotels! We rented a car and the hotel provides 24hr valet parking for a fee, we found this to be very convenient. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location”
We had a lovely stay at Novotel. I was very tempted to book one of the villas further along the lake, but I'm really pleased I didn't. Novotel is in a perfect location; right next to the lake, in the town but also in a quiet spot right next to the park. If I'm ever back in Queenstown I will definitely stay there again.

The Novotel in Queenstown is a wonderful place to stay. It is right in the heart of things, yet in a lovely peaceful setting. It is located next to the botanical gardens and the lake front. Good stay in Novotel”
not bad, but wouldnt expect less for a Novotel considering the price paid. we got upgraded so thats nice. pros are nice room, large room, comfortable bed, and tea and coffee free of charge. its centrally located, next to queenstown garden and the beach and all the restaurants and shops - everything is within walking distance. cons are no free wifi and there is nobody helping you to bring the luggages up to the room - my husband has to find a trolley and bring our luggages up with the lift and when we asked the room service where we leave the trolley after unloading, they told my husband to bring it downstair where he picked it up!

Location is key with the Novotel. It is central to the town and depending on the room you get, you could score great views. Very friendly staff made the check in and check out process very accommodating. The room itself is a little dated and could use a refurb to keep in line with more modern offerings in Queenstown

Great Value on a Fantastic location”
I recommend This hotel because of its location and the facilities as well. We booked on a King room with Garden view and was surprised that its more than I expected. Furnitures is acceptable to my standard and have a good ac unit that is running (we went Dec 16-18 so it’s summertime). Staffs are very warm and helpful up to the valet parking man. I am happy and did not regret in staying here. Would going to stay here again when we come back Queenstown (tip: should book higher floor for better view)

Our only complaint was that we had a room which did not have a great view . We live 2 hours away from Queenstown and we are quite happy if tourists get rooms with a better view .Hotel was great and I would recommend it to any one .Rooms are a good size . We have just spent 7 weeks in USA and this hotel is as good as any we stayed in .
