Lombok Bliss!”

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Novotel Lombok. Having stayed at another hotel in the area, we were not expecting a lot - boy were we surprised! The Novotel is a true 5-star resort in every sense of the word. From the minute the friendly staff starts to pamper you, you know that your stay is going to be a good one. The rooms were spacious, clean and surprisingly luxurious. The A/C worked flawlessly (rare in this part of Indonesia). The surrounding grounds and amenities were as great as you would find anywhere in the world. The hotel staff is the friendliest I've ever seen. The hotel sits on a private beach and the area is breathtaking. The privacy and pampering this hotel offers would make it a great honeymoon spot for sure! The only drawback we found was the food pricing in the restaurant. We found much better food for a way better price in nearby downtown Kuta Beach. But I guess that is the case everywhere. The breakfast(included) was top-knotch, though. All-in-all, the Novotel Lombok was a great experience that we can't wait to repeat.

A Majic Experience”

What took me to Lombok was the part of my middle aged crisis where I wanted to do lots of surfing in high quality waves. This is exactly what I got plus a little more then I bargained for. Lombok and staying at the Novotel Lombok Hotel was a majic experience for me. The style of architecture and landscape blends this resort into the traditional Lombok environment. The inevitable signs of aging only inhences the wonderful character of the resort. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was top quality and well presented. The surrounding dramatic coastal scape provided spectacular photo opportunities. There was an obvious connectiveness with the locals as they went about their daily lives sharing with us their wonderful traditions and their unique environment. I will return to Lombok and stay at the Novotel some time soon, especially before the new International Airport and its consequential development changes the face of this wonderful place.

Great location and great service”

We had originally picked the Novotel at Kuta Beach Lombok due to it's proximity to some great surfing spots. After the first day the surfing became the lesser feature (although still important)of our trip as we found the resort and the local village people to be so beautiful and relaxing. The staff at Novotel couldn't have been more helpful and the local characters also added to the experience. If you're looking for a beautiful place to wind down or base yourself for some of the best surf locations in Lombok, the Novotel is the pick. PS. After our first night we fell in love with the private Villas in the resort and decided to upgrade ourselves. It was well worth it.

Great hotel with an exotic beach”

You could notice Novotel Lombok on your way to Tanjung A'an or other south beach of Lombok. The hotel complex is quite big, that they have the map for the hotel. The hotel has two type of accomodation; the rooms in the hotel building, or rooms in bungalow. There are quite a few of bungalow, in fact, they are building some new bungalows in the area. Some of the bungalow also has the private pool inside. While the bungalow has its private pool; Novotel Lombok also has the pool for the hotel guests. There are two pools, upper and lower pool. Love the upper pool! If you're hungry, there are two restaurants inside the hotel. Vue Restaurant, and Spice Market. Vue restaurant has the a la carte menu, while the Spice Market has the buffet menu. Usually during dinner time, there's an entertainment in Spice Market. While I was having dinner there, there's a performance of a string quartet group. About the room, I really love the room. The room is spacious, and clean. The most important thing is that the hotel located in front of the beach, and it's also close to other beach.

Nice surprise in a 'deserted' Kuta Lombok”

Novotel Lombok Kuta Hotel is a beautiful resort. Check in process was fast and effective.All staff were so nice. One of the staff from souvenir shop gave my daughter a small bag with a little tiger head on it, for nothing, when we passed his shop. It was a nice surprise for her. The private beach is beautiful in any time. It was not a holiday season so there were not so many people. In the morning, we only met 1 family who played in the beach. Our room is ok. Comfortable bed, Sofa with lots of pillows which could be used as a bed - and super useful for my husband since my kid usually use a bed for her own no matter how big the bed is . Super clean, neat, no complain. There was access to semi private backyard which was shared with rooms in our right and left, a sandy one. My kid instantly loved it. The overall hotel is beautiful. We took pictures and posted them in social media and they gained a lot of compliments. Generally said : "beautiful hotel! I will seriously think about having our next holiday there!". I will definitely back for a longer stay.

Novotel Kuta Lombok”

We stayed at the Novotel Kuta for 3 nights in August. On arrival we were informed that they had overbooked and the deluxe room we had booked was not available. We were then offered an upgrade to a villa, however this upgrade was not complimentary as it should have been and they made us pay an extra $100 USD. The room was amazing and we still got it for a lot cheaper than the normal rate, but forcing us to pay for their mistake in overbooking was terrible customer service, we asked if we could have breakfast included to compensate for their error and they refused. If this had not happened then our stay there would had been perfect. The hotel is beautiful, the food is great- best we've had in a hotel, however the drinks are overpriced with a small beer costing 45,000 rupiah, double what we had paid in other hotels. The pool is strangely positoned elevated right next to the restaurant with no decking surounding it and for a large resort only very small. They have a large expance of beach which is mostly unused, and nearly all the sunbeds are on the beach. These all filled up very quickly and we noticed a lot of people 'claiming' a chair first thing in the morning by placing their towel on it then going away. We just walked up an removed the towel and laid on the chair anyway - the hotel needs to enforce a policy that if you are not present and using the chair you can not claim it. We did really enjoy our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Kuta. Sunset from up the hill with 360 degree views of the bay was amazing. I hope my review doesn't sound too negative because despite these few minor things we had a wonderful stay and would definately stay there again and really enjoyed ourselves.

clean, nice hotel, private beach, good price”

Pro: honestly, Novotel Lombok is the best Hotel (out of 3) during our stay at Lombok. It is the only hotel which follows international standard and the one that's really worth the price. Price is affordable even during peak season. Hotel is big and can accommodate many types of travelers (family, solo, couple, etc). The room is very clean, big, with comfy sofa, aircon is working well, small patio (which we found very helpful to dry out our swimsuits and clothes). Staffs are very helpful, menu is quite above average compared to other standard hotels. The best part is it has a direct access to its private beach area (Kuta Beach), and just 10 mins away by car to Tanjung Aan (a virgin beach that will amaze you! really!). On Kuta beach you can swim, play with the canoe, sleep on the bungalow, play volley ball, enjoy hotel daily activities - all for free as guests of the hotel. Cons: Getting to the hotel is quite difficult if you're not traveling with locals, the path was confusing and it seemed like you're driving in the middle of nowhere then suddenly there's the Hotel (Novotel); but still manageable. Some promo doesn't include breakfast, this is a mistake. Always go with breakfast inclusion because there is no restaurants nearby at all. You can only eat at the hotel. Not recommended for long stay, you'll get bored after 3 days.

Lovely Novotel Lombok ”

My partner and I really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Novotel, Kuta Lombok. Next time we holiday in Indonesia, we will skip Bali and fly straight to Lombok and stay at Novotel again. There are many options in the area for day trip adventures to occupy your day. However, the resort grounds are so nice that time passes quickly just sunbaking and swimming in the pool at Novotel. There are many surfing options around Kuta area too, with beautiful warm water. What made Novotel Lombok such a pleasant stay was the staff. Very friendly and always willing to help. Definately hire a motorbike on arrival for your entire stay and explore the Kuta area.

best kept secret”

Novotel Lombok would have to be one of the best kept secrets in the region. Believe the hype! Delightfully designed in a way to stimulate your senses, we recommend paying the USD $50 upgrade fee for the beach villas. Great value for money, this resort offers everything for those wishing a getaway to the beach and surrounds. Perhaps the best compliment about this property is that while a decent size, you always feel intimate no matter what you are doing. Truly a special property worth checking out! Don't delay...

Brilliant hotel, right on a beautiful beach”

This hotel was totally amazing. We loved every minute of it. The area is a very quiet area and the hotel is outside Kuta (about a 20 minutes walk). At first we were slightly worried about this. We hired a moped which was cheap and went to explore on that for a day to a local stunning beach. However after staying at the novotel we were glad it was out of the way as it was totall relaxing time. The hotel is quite expensive for food compared to other hotels we visited in Lombok and Bali but all the food was nice. It was a buffet breakfast which had alot of choice. The rooms were very nicely finished and comfy with lots of channels on the tv. The hotel grounds are very well kept with lots of detail. There are child hawkers on the beach with the girls seling bracelets and the boys selling coconuts. The security make sure they dont come near you when on the sunbeds and the only time they talk to you is when you go int the sea. However they arn't pushy unless you show an interest. They are more cute than a problem. They also told us about local places to go and were very helpful with places to explore.

Great Location for Getaway”

I booked several days in Lombok looking for a quiet beach to recharge and relax. I got exactly that at Novotel. Facilities are all designed to give maximum comfort, whether you're napping in your room or napping on a lounge chair by the beach. The location is far from the main part of town and so the resort is run rather like a cruise ship - activities at all hours for people who want to expend energy (beach volleyball/football, hikes up the hill for sunset) and sights to see for the less energetic (batik and woodcarving demos). Had all meals at the resort because of the location but that was fine since the price was reasonable and variety was good. Would definitely come back.

Pristine getaway”

The Novotel Lombok is a great value if you are looking for a resort getaway. The staff is attentive and friendly; all say hello as you walk by. The hotel has multiple "hang-out" areas, from hammocks, to bean bags to comfy lounge chairs and beachside beds. The beach is gorgeous, although there are better swimming beaches nearby. We appreciated the comfortable beds and the pillow menu! The only wish I would have for this hotel would be a bigger bar area. The restaurant options were okay but not pheno Neal. I recommend renting a scooter in town and driving into tow for more delicious/reasonable eats.

Excellent Villa with private pool”

Love the Villa set up and ambiance. Very clean and tidy resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. Always looking forward to their breakfast buffet. Lots of spread, from local to Western cuisine. The breakfast area was facing the sea area and mountains and the waves of the sea were breathtaking. This resort is what it takes to be a "holiday and peaceful" place to be for singles, married couples and families. The "set-back" was the road leading to the resort. It was under construction and maintenance, and the rude there wad quite "bumpy" and "time consuming". The resort us about 20km from Mataram city, in whuch the ride thete wirh private car was quite costly. Taxi was a "rare side" at this area, except coming from Mataram city. Overall, we live Novotel Resort and Villa as the ultimate resting and holidaying place for our families.

Little glimpse of paradise”

novotel lombok is an absolute gem, we stayed here after spending a week in bali and were devastated we didn't stay alot longer. tucked away in a nice little spot with beautiful private beach and a surf break just around the corner, this hotel ticks all the boxes. the staff were so welcoming and always went out of their way to help. the rooms were huge, impeccably clean, well stoked and had all the modcons. the food in all areas was great and reasonably priced. my boyfriend and i absolutely loved this hotel and will definately be going back again.

We stayed at Novotel Kuta Lombok for our honeymoon.. Reading a few review from here.. We already know that the place is isolated, faraway from the airport and any other kind of attraction different from those that the hotel offer and the normal tours to the island of course, but it’s completely beautiful.. Arriving at 10.30 am without any expectations, grateful that we can get an early check in. We booked the Deluxe Room for 2 nights. There are superior and deluxe rooms in a building next to the reception and also bungalows around the resort. The room is spacious, with a unique construction, very traditional but also modern, the bathroom are really comfortable and have a big terrace and beautiful gardens. The resort has the garden, kids, lower and upper pools, fitness center, bar, 2 restaurants, kids club, boutique, spa and infinity activities. The beach is very clean, and located just a couple minutes from our room, it is perfect!!!. The staff are very helpful and nice. But, we didnt tried the food there because the price is unreasonable, too expensive for our pocket. I would definitely going back to Novotel Lombok, when im around. Its a wonderful experience!!! :)

Our stay was very great! View and Beach is very awesome. Hotel design is beatifull, the food is variety and internasional menu is avaiable. Room is clean , air conditioner is cool. Room service is fast. We visit Tanjung aan, and hypnotized by it awesome sands and view , it make us Watts to comeback to Novotel Kuta lombok

A little paradise ”

Novotel Lombok is located in Kuta Beach Lombok, which is different from Kuta Beach Bali. The hotel is located 30 minutes from the airport, and surrounded by few shops, some homemade restaurant and several home stay accommodation. The Novotel Lombok is one of the beautiful hotel, surrounded by beautiful scenery a white sandy beach, a green hills. The hotel also provides swimming pools and some of the hotel's activities for its guest such as visiting Tanjung Aan There will be activities for every one there. I stayed in deluxe room, the room is quite big, big bed, a large television and DVD, air conditioning and big bathroom. I believe the best thing in Novotel Lombok is not only their view but also the hotel staff, and also food, especially their breakfast. another thing that makes Novotel Lombok special is two small ox are shackled together with a large board behind them and they walk up and down the beach slowly sweeping it. If you are looking for the perfect beach holiday this could be the place.

Great Location but few activities”

Novotel has a stunning setting on the rugged beach at Kuta (Lombok). You can easily snorkel in the protected clean inlet and walk along the beach to the right towards the village of Kuta (2 kms away) or to a surfing spot across a small river on the left. It's also close to the new international airport. The WiFi was being upgraded during our stay, so very spotty. Some scheduled activities, such as a relaxing massage on the beach or water aerobics didn't happen during our 3-day stay. The beach security is lax since one of the numerous vendors made off with his baseball cap while he was swimming and I was reading.

A great resort in the lovely Kuta!”

Our stay at the Novotel was just perfect for the Christmas Holiday. The staff are friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable - with great beds and large bathrooms. There are three pools - all incredibly lovely and varied. There are plenty of comfortable, shaded, lounge chairs along the oceanfront, which is fantastic. You do not feel a need to run out at 6am to grab a chair. Kuta is a lovely place with so many wonderful beaches nearby. We definitely recommend the Novotel and we'll return to Kuta for sure.

Gorgeous hotel in a secluded area”

The Novotel is a stunning hotel located on the southern tip of Lombok island. It is a very off the beaten track hotel that is secure and safe. The lay out is really lovely and the room was very comfortable and visually appealing. Unfortunately, it was hard to predict when the room would be cleaned day to day as the times were random. We did ask for extra water and coffee and these requests were honoured. There are two small pools, a very intimate kids club, cabanas facing the ocean, a few free activities offered daily, and some nice walking trails along the beach. I suggest renting a scooter if you plan to go to Kuta. It is about a fifteen to twenty minute walk that can be challenging with kids as it is on a main road. In Kuta there are a wide variety of restaurants, shopping stalls and a few places where you can rent cars to tour the island. The hotel restaurants were nice and the food was good, however, we have had better breakfast buffets at other resorts. The food and drinks were quite expensive compared to local rates. The service was okay, but they staff were not as nice as you would expect in such a well known chain. We were rarely greeted with a smile when someone passed us by. Great customer service goes a long way. We stayed for seven nights and it was a little too quiet for a family with a five year old and eight year old as there is just not much to do in this part of Lombok. It was also much more expensive to stay here than other resorts on the island. In addition, we were there during Ramadan and it is difficult to find food and drinks during this time because the shops and restaurants run out of supplies. I would suggest staying in Senggigi with children at this age.
