Best hotel I got for the money of the 5 I stayed in the Philippines this trip. Nicest rooms and balcony, I had just flown in from the Hilton Waikoloa and that is my favorite all time hotel if you don’t mind being nickel and dimed after you pay through the nose. The rooms and balcony and service at the Nordtropic were better. If you're looking for a not too pricy but still beautiful place to stay in Mactan, better choose Nordtropic Resort and Residences. We had the 2bedroom suite. The place is clean and wide enough to accomodate four people. They also serve free breakfast buffet. Delisyoso.

A Quiet Oasis”
Nordtropic is located in a secluded place away from the busy and dusty roads. - a quiet oasis. The room is big with clean tiles, floor and shined furnitures {looks newly renovated}. The mattress sags, pillows smell sour and they only have paid movies. The restaurant serves good pork and battered chicken for dinner and a big breakfast with fresh ingredients. The pool area is nice to sit and chat but beware of mosquitoes. Overall a nice quiet spot to rest at evening arrival and departure after a hearty breakfast to explore southern Cebu

Unparalleled Service”
Nordtropic exemplifies the "heart of the filipino" with extraordinary service and amenities. The 2 bedroom suite was amazing, with glass doors that can open up an entire wall to create a Villa feeling to the balcony. But, the real prize here is the customer service. We ended up extending our stay because of the incredible staff, amenities, and atmosphere. The food is excellent, the pizza in particular was of gourmet quality and the only pizza I've had in the Phil that is as good as homemade from scratch. There are water activities that leave from the beach (about a 10 sec walk way!), we tried the jetskis and had a phenomenal time. The jetski operators were top notch! The pool is great and has a large shallow area and deep area with infinity edge to the ocean. The location is close to Jpark and bluewater, both great places for fun and fine dining. It's really hard to truly describe how nice, friendly, polite, considerate, hard working, thoughtful, accommodating etc the staff is :)

We stayed here for 2 nights 2 rooms for a group of 8. The rooms are spacious and they have balcony on each rooms. They have a very nice living room with reclining sofas, the seniors loved it. They have cable tv, refrigerator, wifi, free use of kitchen utensils, kettle. Cooking is allowed for a fee. The staff are very friendly. We even requested to surprise our 3 birthday celebrants with a cake and a bisaya version of happy birthday during our dinner. They did great! Special thanks to the Cabana staff and crew. Breakfast is buffet 1 room has capacity of 4 and all 4 have breakfast included. We loved the pancakes! Since our flight is at 10pm we requested for a late check out for 1 room at a very reasonable price...they would really go extra mile to serve their customers. Location is 20-30 minutes from the airport. The infinity pool is very nice too! They have lifeguards always on duty when people are swimming. They also have island hopping tour 4k for a large boat. What we enjoyed most is having the nice breakfast, lunch and dinner overlooking the ocean. Savemore is just 10 minutes away from the resort. I would suggest though to improve the comfort rooms to dissolve minor stains in the tiles and provide daily supply of bathroom essentials. Also please fix the aircon at room 203 one of them doesn't seem to be working well. Overall it was a pleasant stay. We would definitely go back!

Nice resort for base”
We used this resort as the last few days in the Philippines. Wend island hopping from here and went on a whale shark / canyoneering trip. It is a nice clean resort. Staff is very friendly. The resort is fairly isolated from other restaurants/shops so be prepared to take trike or taxi to where ever you want to go. Walking to destinations wasn't recommended unless during the day I assume due to safety reasons. This (safety) was not a concern at the actual resort. Nice pool and onsite restaurant food is pretty good.

It is indeed spacious for the grand suite, but location wise was abit far off from the city. Travel time to cebu city will take approximately 1 hour, and 30 minutes to the mactan airport. The view is average only but the infinity pool was excellent, the staff cleans it everyday making sure the water quality is top-notch, there was no chlorine-like taste of the poolwater. Free daily breakfast buffet menu changes everyday but you have to check with the restaurant.

No room cleaning services. Maybe because we didnt ask. They gave us free water. But I didnt know about it until the last day. Good pool. Good view. Small beach but in Cebu they are all not so good. Eceryone goes island hopping anyway. Taxi took us through an unpaced road on the way there. Later found out there is a paced road further ahead. We had a very bumpy entrance. Friendly staff, rearurant food was good. Wasnt expecting much for breakfast but it was good. Would go again if in a budget because of the pool.

Although I didn't expect much of the new resort, I loved it. The staff were so nice, and the room was too clean. Breakfast was too delicious. However, taxi drivers did not know the location of the resort, so they used a taxi cab. A well-priced resort Recommend.

Stayed here up break up flights from Cebu hotel. Nice restaurant and a very good pool made for a good stop over. Local area isn’t much going on at all really. Very friendly staff make up for this.

Resort was clean and beautiful . The room is bigger of what I’ve expected . The pool was awesome and my family had a quality time ! Friendly staff and buffet breakfast with lots of choices . Easy access for parasailing and jet ski . I’m looking forward to stay on this hotel again .

If you book early, you can enjoy clean facilities at a relatively inexpensive place. My subjective opinion is that the hotel is a place to sleep. I do not want to pay a lot of money. Facilities are clean, water and towels continue to be supported. Water pressure is not too weak, but not enough. However, the air conditioner was somewhat noisy. I understand because it is the typical noise of a window-type air conditioner. I would like to praise the swimming pool very much. The water in the pool was not cold but slightly warm. When the weather felt a little chilly, the water was warm. Then the manager removed the foreign objects from the swimming pool, and when I sat on the beach chair in the pool, I got a beach towel. The staff was all friendly. I did not have to worry about walking in the evening. The surroundings felt very safe. There is a supermarket and many shops if you walk about 10-15 minutes. There are many Korean restaurants in Koreatown.

What a nice resort!”
I stayed for 4days with my family at executive room. Everything in resort was good! Swimming pool was nice and clean. The view was also great! But the bed in all room was small for our family with a baby. I guess it was just double bed. Extra bed is 1000pesos per day. But i enjoyed while i stay. :)
