Great Location but may be too noisy for some”

This place is ideally located in the heart of Queenstown. Our room was great but located on a lane which has a lot of night life. This did not worry us but it may be too noisy for some people. There are other rooms away from this area so you may want to check with Nomads first. Agoda details state the this site provides airport transfers. This is not the case. You have to use public transport or taxi.

Great Location, Clean Rooms, Loud Backpackers”

Cheap Private Ensuite, Close to Everything

We booked a private ensuite for one night. Room is clean and has all the basic stuff you need - towel, soap, complimentary tea, dryer. It even has a balcony. Only complaint is bathroom layout is a bit awkward. Sink is too small and no placeholder for your toiletries. Also, since it is primarily a backpackers hotel, the youngsters are quite loud at night. The location is perfect though. It has right at the heart of the city and is just 3 minute walk to queenstown garden for a quick stroll. Overall, I think it is good value for money.

Good location and friendly people behind reception desk. The room is clean and cosy. The free dinner and breakfast were owesome. We had a very good holiday in Queenstown this time due to handy location for accessing to town center. Just walked through the pathway linked all the way to casino though we loss money there. Strongly recommand to backpackers or solo travellers.

If you’re looking for the place to stay and close everywhere, here must be the best choice, staff really helpful and would like to talk about kitchen, Im a person like to stay with backpacker so the kitchen its not my big deal due to so many people come to share and some not clean them own but its not Nomad fault, so you just won’t do like that must be great, everything will perfect by yourself first then chill and relax your time at Nomads :)

Exceptional”

Most of the staff are helpful. Just had an experience with their female staff with red hair who keeps on activating my key card incorrectly. I am from the hotel industry so I know how the key card activation works. I tried seeking for her assistance several times and clearly explained that I will be staying at Nomads until Friday. I checked in on a Monday. Despite this, I keep on coming to reception for the correct activation. I even had to ask for a card replacement however the said female staff just had it incorrectly activated again for the fourth time. It was until Thursday so I had to go back again to reception area. Given the fact that I am staying second floor and was just using the stairs. Should the staff intentionally or unintentionally made this mistake, hope that you can improve on this by giving them a training.

Clean hostel with great location”

Central Location, in middle of town and surrounded by bars and restaurants.

This place was a great base for visiting queenstown. All the bars and restaurants are close by, and everything is within walking distance. The hostel does free dinners every night (pretty average, but good for travellers on a budget). Super clean and pretty much like staying in a hotel (especially if you're in a private room).

Awesome facilities”

For a hostel, Nomads has everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The sitting area is quite spacious with a pool table. Kitchen is a decent size and the eating area can cater for about 50 people. This place has a tv room, a sauna and toilets/showers on every floor (not unisex which is good). The rooms are kept clean, they check it a couple of times a day. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm (female only) with out own ensuite and shared balcony. The space was good, beds a little bit creamy but pretty comfortable. There's a bar at the back of the hostel so it can pretty noisy at night. Get some earplugs and you'd love it here.

Good stay with nomads”

Nomads has a lot of young travellers and we travelled with a 5 months old baby at the time and it was great! there was no issue with bringing a baby around the hotel as the staffs were hospitable and friendly. The only downside was that our room faces the back alley where it got quite noisy during the night as the pubs were operating. Try to request for a room that is facing the main road if you like to have no disturbance when you are sleeping.

i had a really great time at this place and made so many friends from all over the world. i had never travelled alone before (and was a little scared!)...but i was delighted to find that i almost instantly had a whole bunch of friends who were as keen as me to get out there and have some queenstown-style fun. really appreciated the availability of female only rooms and the strict alcohol rules - made for a much more pleasant stay.

Very good location, in the cbd of queenstown, walking distance to the lake and all nice restaurants surrounding. Nice room, a bit pricy (maybe i travel during very busy period), no wifi, paid wifi but still very slow. 24/7 reception, street parking not owned by hotel, need to try your luck if during busy period.
