Anantara Hoi An Resort

"After backpacking through southern Vietnam for a few weeks, we arrived in Hoi An and had two nights in the Life Heritage resort to re-charge our batteries before traveling upwards towards Hanoi. Well, recharge is certainly what we did. Upon arriving, the lovely staff greeted us with drinks and although we arrived a few hours early than regular check-in, they did their very best to accommodate us and we had a room within 10 minutes. The rooms are fantastically clean, lots of space to move around in (which is a plus after hostels and sleeping buses) and the bathroom is big and beautiful with a lovely sunken bathtub and a high pressure shower. The TV has lots of channels if you want to just lie on your (mega-comfy) bed and chill out and the mini-bar is stocked with reasonably priced drinks. Breakfast is included with the room and is a huge buffet breakfast, with everything from local pho to Western fare such as pancakes, omelets, bacon, sausages etc. I would say that besides the rooms, staff and food at the hotel, the location for us was a real reason to stay at the hotel. The hotel is located at the end of one of the main streets of Hoi An, so that it is still in the old centre but at the same time, it is gloriously peaceful because it is in its own nook right by the river. You can walk to the main market and streets of Hoi An within 5 minutes, which is a lot better than a bunch of hotels/hostels some of our other friends stayed at while traveling. In short, if you are up for spending a little more money for luxury, comfort and an unforgettable experience while in Hoi An, you should be staying at the Life Heritage Resort."

Pros : Room and all facilities provided are great, the staff is very nice and speak fluent english. Cons : None.... "

Hoi An Beach Resort

"we were very pleased with our recent stay at the lovely hoi an beach resort. after an initial mix-up about an airport transfer (the car i arranged with the hotel didn’t show up so i had to take a taxi), i was happy when we arrived at the resort and were handed cool, minty towels and welcome drinks. we were even upgraded to rooms in the river view villa, which were very nice. the rooms were huge, as was the bathroom (with a separate bath and shower), and complimentary toiletries and bottles of water were provided. our room opened out onto the river, and had two lounge chairs right outside to relax in. the breakfast buffet was plentiful, with both western and asian options, although the quality of the food was so-so for vietnam. the omelette and pho stations were a nice touch, and it was really lovely to have breakfast overlooking the river. the resort is right across the road from cua dai beach, and they have a private stretch of beach just for guests, which is fabulous for avoiding the crowds (it’s still somewhat). you can order food from the hotel’s restaurant straight from your lounge chair, which is ideal when one is on vacation. the resort has two swimming pools, which were fun to dive into after coming back from the beach, as well as a small but adequate fitness center. the hotel staff were generally adequate. i want to commend the reservations manager, ms. chau, was exceedingly helpful and responsive, particularly when my family decided they wanted to stay another night at the beach resort. amending a non-refundable hotel reservation through agoda is a real pain, but ms. chau was really helpful with this. the hotel can also help you book tours, including a trip to my son, which is what we did. if you take the bus, the cost is only $10/pp, which does not include the dong entrance fee. overall, the hoi an resort is a lovely place to relax for a few days, and hopping between the beach and hoi an town is very convenient with the free shuttle servi"

Riverside Bamboo Resort Hoi An

"We loved it here, so much so that our 2 night stay turned into 5 nights. Positioned slightly out of the heart of Hoi An we rented hotel bikes (£1 a day) every day and pedalled in to town and 2kms in the other direction to the beautiful beach. The roads are relativley quiet (compared to the rest of Vietnam). The hotel is lovely and quiet with a beautiful pool. The rooms are large and a good sized bathroom. Lots of people have complained at the lack of shower curtain but I loved the luxury of laying in the bath. Breakfast was ok, but we didn't really have a great breakfast anywhere in Vietnam, good if you want to go Vietnamese style. Fantastic food at all the resturants in Hoi An. The staff at Bamboo Village were lovely, all of them came out to wave us off in our taxi and gave us a little present each. Don't hesitate to stay here."

"A lovely hotel in Hoi An! The amenities are well set out and the rooms very comfortable. The staff were also very helpful, and their english very good. The staff also aim to ensure you have a great time in Hoi An and are very knowledgeable of places to go and things to see. (They also were kind enough to use their beach transfer service to go on to our next hotel). The breakfast options were also plentiful and delicious. Thanks! "

Flame Flowers Homestay
Cam Pho,Hoi An - View on map
"We planned on staying a week in Hoi An, and wanted to make sure we found the best place for such a long visit. After reading dozens of reviews for various Homestays, we settled on Flame Flowers and were not disappointed! The family who run the Homestay are some of the friendliest people we've met on our travels. We felt at home the moment we walked in the door when we were greeted with some fresh watermelon. During our whole stay, they helped us find things to do in Hoi An, including where to get clothes made. It was my girlfriends birthday during our stay and the family surprised her with a big lunch and cake! Such an unexpected and nice gesture. The facilities are also great, it really feels like a nice hotel but for the price of a hostel. Big King sized bed with fresh linens every day, good aircon, TV with English movie channels, HBO etc. Rainfall shower and balcony. Simply put, we cannot recommend Flame Flowers enough, it's the best place to stay in Hoi An! "

Hoi An Waterway Resort

"My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was huge, super clean, and had an amazing view of the pool and river. We had a good size balcony with comfortable chairs and a little table. Breakfast was included and we always left full! The best part is the staff!! We call them our Hoi An family. Flower, first greeted us and took care of every little thing we needed and always with a bright smile and a sweet laugh. And Lily, was always a delight, inquiring about our plans to see if she could help with bookings or just help make suggestions . The hotel is just outside the center of town, which we preferred, and they provided us with bicycles free of charge everyday. A quick 10 minute bike ride and we were in the middle of everything. 20 min in the opposite direction, we were at the beach. We highly recommend this hotel. Be good to our Hoi An family! We miss you guys!! "

Threeway Riverside Villa
Cam Pho,Hoi An - View on map
"Our stay started with accidentally spending a night at the hotel next door, which was totally our fault, but after quickly checking out of the wrong hotel and into Threeway Riverside, we were upgraded to a better room and even given a discount on the first night because of the mix up. The staff are so lovely and waited up for us to return to the hotel each night. Very informative giving us directions and recommendations for places to go. It was about a 20 minute walk into Ancient Town, but it is right along the river and a very beautiful walk. They have FREE bikes and umbrellas which gave us a unique experience and came in very handy. The room was very clean, with fresh linen if we wanted and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again if we came back to Hoi An "

Hoi An Eco Lodge & Spa
Cam Thanh,Hoi An - View on map
"We were so glad that we picked Hoi An Eco Lodge & Spa for our stay in Hoi An. It was absolutely perfect and the staff was so service-minded. It's a fairly new hotel and they're still building here and there but nothing that'll annoy you for sure. We stayed in the biggest room - the Club Suite - and if you wanna spoil yourself this is really nice, especially with the outdoor bathtub and the terrace with sun chairs for relaxing. We went to the spa the day after arrival and wasn't disappointed. My boyfriend had a 90 min deep tissue massage and I had the same as well as a 30-minute salt body scrub and a 30-minute aloe vera and honey body wrap. After finishing I was offered a cup of tea and a small snack. They had a promotion for 50% off for all treatments as they just opened recently - so very affordable. We borrowed the hotel bicycles for free and went to An Bang Beach for a full day - really nice ride and very easy to find. We didn't mind that the hotel wasn't located in the centre of Hoi An. We could've used the hotel's free shuttle buses that went to both An Bang Beach and Hoi An centre several times a day, but we forgot about it and went by cab instead. It was a short 10-minute drive and cost around 80-90.000 vdn. We had dinner at the hotel twice which was really good. No complaints at all. The breakfast was good as well with the possibility to have a freshly cooked omelette, scrambled eggs etc. The only recommendation would be to cover the fresh meats and fruit so the small flies can't access it as easily. Otherwise, everything was absolutely perfect and we will for sure recommend it to everyone staying in Hoi An. "
