Homely place close to the main stretch of Phong Nha. A bit off the beaten path which can be nice. The host was friendly although he doesn't speak much English.
The bathroom door was glass so there's no privacy for showering - it can get uncomfortable if you're not a couple and sharing the room. The door to the room is also glass so if the room curtain isn't drawn, you can see all the way from outside into the shower of the bathroom.

Very comfortable stay with very kind and friendly staff!”

We had a very comfortable stay in one of Gnoc's private cabins. The bed was very comfortable, lots of hot water, very quiet at night. Gnoc was helpful with booking tours of the caves and cooked us a delicious breakfast. The owner matched the price of tours and bus tickets offered in town when we shopped around. He also helped us store our luggage including valuables until we left for a night bus. Great value, would recommend! Gnoc is not fluent in English but we were able to communicate no problem with a bit of help from google translate.

The location was good. Great breakfast and a friendly host. The room was clean.
The property did not match the description, the house is relatively far from the river and the rooms do not have a lake or pool view. In addition our room did not have the mentioned kitchen, tv, desk or washing machine. We were disappointed that these features were apparently absent. Ngoc was a friendly host, however we were sat down as soon as we arrived (at 9pm) and were encouraged to book tours- we just wanted to be able to relax and plan our time after a long journey. We had already booked a tour online which we were encouraged to cancel and re-book which made us uncomfortable. It felt like these tours and onwards travel arrangements were pushed onto us. It would be better to have this information available to tourists without the hard-sell.

The cabin
There was no wifi. In the description it says that there's a kitchen, tv, bubble bath and sauna but they're nowhere to be found. Owner can't speak english without his google translate app
