Great value for money hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay in Newtown Plaza Hotel! If we ever go to Baguio again, we would still choose to stay here. My favorite things about the place are: 1. Spacious Room We got the deluxe twin room with mountain view. It had two double beds and a lovely view from the balcony. There's lots of space to move around and our family of 4 was very comfortable in it. Since the difference in rate for residential and mountain view is only a little, go for the mountain view. The view and fresh air from the balcony is really worth it. 2. Affordable Their regular room rate is pretty good especially when compared to other similar and not so great hotels/inns in Baguio. 3. Buffet Breakfast We enjoyed the buffet breakfast included in the overnight rate. The choices were plenty and the food was yummy. 4. Heated Pool We definitely enjoyed the heated outdoor pool. My kids love swimming, and since the weather in Baguio is pretty cold, you definitely need a heated pool! 5. Staff The staff is very friendly and responds promptly ro requests. We will definitely stay here again!

Hotel Away from the City Craze”

I've read a number of reviews to check which among the hotels in Baguio will suit my requirements. And, Newtown Hotel Plaza had everything what I needed. 1. Location. It was perfectly situated away from the city crowd and traffic. 2. Spacious Room. I've checked a few hotels where the price of this standard 30+ sqm room is almost the same price as an 18+ sqm. room. This indeed was a good deal for me. It also had a new feel to it unlike other hotel rooms in Baguio with a rustic feel which scares me and makes me uncomfortable to sleep in. 3. Good Breakfast Buffet. I was anticipating limited choices for breakfast food based on the reviews. Yes, these were correct. But, I was more than satisfied since I had my crispy bacon strips in the buffet place. Plus, the playlist giving the restaurant a good vibe in the morning made me extra happy :)

Nice hotel with good facilities”

I am an OFW and I visit Baguio often when I come home. Ive tried many hotels in Baguio and wanted to try something different. I decided to book here in Newtown due to the high rating in Agoda and I wasnt disappointed. The hotel is new, with nice facilities. It has ample parking, nearby restaurants(it is a few steps away from Gerry's Grill and some Japanese restaurants), large TV, there are nice facilities for the kids (theres an arcade), its near Baguio city famous landmarks like Mines View Park, Wright Park etc. And I loved the Breakfast! The only thing I did not like about this hotel is the bed. They could actually use a softer/thicker bed for maximum comfort. The room also need some interior designing.

Perfect stay in an excellent hotel”

We are all praises to everyhing this hotel has to offer - from the front desk's prompt check in, the spacious room that can accommodate twice our number, the smiling and accommodating staff, excellent facilities (special mention to the arcade and pool where my son spent long hours), hearty and delicious buffet meals, great performers in acoustic night sessions, etc. Truly a good value for money. I have raved to friends and colleagues about Newtown Plaza's excellent service and we are already planning our next visit to Baguio with no other hotel in mind where we can just chill and relax in the company of people who matter. A Class of Its Own”

Just along Leonard Wood Road, right across the Botanical Gardens in Teacher’s Camp is a relatively new Baguio Hotel which is in a unique class of its own... The New Town Hotel. Upon arrival, one would instantly notice that parking will not be a problem, with a separate car park building and ample security. The lobby was tall with high glass windows that bring in the famous pine tree landscape. The reception staff was quite accommodating... and the easy, wanting-to-be-of-help nature inherent in the people of Baguio was palpable... definitely a pleasant experience after that tiring uphill trek on Kennon Road. The rooms were clean and simple, not gaudily decorated and tastefully accommodated. It had an airy fresh feel with a ceiling fan circulating the cool ambient Baguio night air. The bed, towels ( they even provide bathrobes), pillow and linens were clean and crisp, although we were required to put a deposit to insure that nothing terrible happens to them. Toiletries were also provided. While we go to Baguio for R & R and a commune with nature, if you like most of us cannot do without high tech gadgets and digital entertainment, the New Town Hotel delivers exceptionally. Each of the eight floors are studded with Internet routers delivering a fat line to each room ample enough for personal needs and cable TV on a digital flat screen with more channels that you can speak the language of... English, Tagalog, Korean, Chinese, Indian and some others we could not identify. One of the stellar draw on the New Town Hotel is its extremely affordable and ample Buffets. They have breakfast, lunch, merienda and dinner buffets which are frankly full of locals that come visit and partake of the feast. As a room guest, we were entitles to 2 breakfast buffet a day. We stayed for 4 days and probably gained at least the same amount of pounds. New Town Hotel is also a very popular venue for functions, exhibits, seminars, weddings and anniversaries. Beautiful hotel, ideal location, excellent staff”

The hotel is at the center of every tourist spot in Baguio. I loved the modern touch of it. Very ideal for families, spacious rooms, yummy food. The staff is very accomodating. Even if its a busy day during our check in that weekend, they tried their best to attend to all our needs. We enjoyed our Baguio experience most especially because of Newtown Plaza Hotel. We will definitely be back again soon!

Christmas in Baguio”

it was our 4th time to stay here at Newtown Plaza Hotel.. my hubby loves it. it is always his 1st choice whenever we will plan to go up to baguio. their buffet breakfast is so good with a lot to choose from filipino, american, chinese dishes.. fresh fruits, cereals.. we love their various freshly bake breads. the staff are friendly and courteous.. rooms are clean with ceiling fan (i just wonder how it feels during summer since there is no aircondition ) .. i wish that they would install a bidet in the bathroom..

Amazing hotel in Baguio”

This hotel was a great find! The staff was really helpful and even let us check in early, no charge! Which was a blessing due to our long trip. The hotel has a gorgeous resturant with an amazing buffet for breakfast and dinner with even more choices just downstairs. There was also a playground and arcade which kept the kids entertained in addition to a swimming pool. We had a room with a mountain view which was worth the price - the views were as amazing! Parking was close and there was always a member of staff ready to assist. I had an issue with the door to my room getting stuck but once I mentioned it to a member of staff, maintence came up to our room in less than 5 minutes!! The Botanical Gardens are just a quick walk down the street and most attractions within Baguio can be reached in just a few minutes by cab. The only negative thing I would say is there was no aircon - which most say you don't need in Baguio but...it was a bit warm that week and I feel it would have helped. We would definately stay there again when we come back to Baguio!!

Great hotel. ”

We were two families with young kids on a Christmas holiday vacation in Baguio. Newtown Plaza Hotel was just the right hotel for us because the rooms are spacious enough. We booked two standard rooms, one for my sister and her 2 kids and 1 for us, a couple with 2 kids also. The rooms were just perfect for us because each comes with two double beds and a flat screen 42 inches tv with very clear cable reception which had the kids well accomodated and entertained. Our room is in the 5th floor on the front so we got a good view of the Baguio mountain ranges and the city. Plus it is located just above the swimming pool which made the kids unable to resist the temptation to swim despite the chilly air of December. We really had a good time and if we have another chance to visit Baguio, we'll definitely booked in Newton Plaza again.

Newtown plaza Hotel is a new hotel in baguio. It has spacious rooms and good facilities. It has also good ambiance. Considering the price, i couldn't ask for more. it really is a value for money.

GOOD HOTEL BUT LACKING AMENITIES”

I had a good stay at the Newtown Plaza Hotel in February. The staff are very nice and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. Unfortunately, the hotel lacks a gym, and it is somewhat far from the main road and happenings in Baguio City. The hotel is still under construction, so you hear the construction during the day. Also, if your hotel room does not face the front of the hotel the view is lackluster-it backs up to people's homes that are messy. Overall, I would stay here again if there was a good promo deal, but for the prices that they charge it is a bit much considering its location and lack of amenities.

Good Location”

The location of the hotel is walking distance to botanical garden. There are some restaurants nearby. they offer merienda, dinner and sunday grill buffet/s. The breakfast buffet selection was pretty good, not your typical "breakfast" variety. The rooms are spacious, some rooms has a veranda. The bathroom should be upgraded, bidet isn't available but overall Newtown Plaza Hotel was a good choice due to its accessibilty and new facilities. Heated pool is also available:)

sweet escape from the hot weather”

I had a very lovely stay at the hotel. I loved how the staff greeted us with a warm welcome. They were very consistent with their service. Our room was huge! It is much larger than I expected. No aircon but no worries. The hotel is located uphill so the cool breeze of Baguio would suffice. I suggest that they put a little decoration in their rooms like painting or something to make the room feel cozy and warm. Breakfast buffet is also really good. Though their restaurant should have more food choices for guests who doesn't want to avail their all day buffet. I like the location. It is not near downtown Baguio. It is located uphill near the mansion, botanical garden and mines view park. It is the perfect place for someone who wants to relax and just enjoy baguio's scenery and its weather. Transportation is also not a problem since there are taxis almost everywhere. The front desk will help you find one.

Superb experience! ”

We stayed overnight in this hotel and I must say, I was very impressed. The hotel is new and modern, a refreshing break from the old (and scary) hotels we've stayed at before. Room was decent and clean, moderate in size and had the basic amenities, minus the fridge. There was no air con but that's fine as the fan and windows were sufficient. Breakfast buffet had a great selection. The pool was warm enough, suitable for Baguio weather. What made the experience enjoyable for our two small kids was the arcade connected to the hotel, the bakery that looked like a Gingerbread house, and the mini-park in front of the pool where they were able to run and play. I highly recommend this hotel, and plan to book a stay here again when we go up to Baguio next time!

Clean rooms!”

We really enjoyed our stay, the room and bathroom was very clean. I especially loved the beds and pillows, very comfy and the duvet was perfect for baguio weather. The rooms looked like they do in the pictures. Buffet breakfast was also good, considering it came with the room with no extra chatge, selection was adequate and they rotate the dishes everyday so you don't get the same thing everyday. Good location in the city and the fact they have a parking garage was great. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was there was no hot water in the bathroom, shower was not even lukewarm at best, which was quite hard to bear especially in the cold weather. But overall still a great value for money hotel!

Nice and quiet place to relax”

The hotel was fairly new. We had a standard room located beside the residential area. Initially, I expected there might be some noise from the nearby houses but we're glad that we had a quiet relaxing stay there. Staff were friendly and accommodating. There was a mistake when we were claiming our breakfast since it was indicated that we were a "no show", but it was quickly clarified. The heated pool was a nice touch, for those who were brave enough to take a dip amidst the cold Baguio weather. I just wish there was another entrance door from the outdoor pool to the inside of the hotel besides the entrance to the restaurant. It might be a little awkward to pass through the dining area among a group of diners when you're still wet from your dip from the pool. The elevators were also a bit cramped especially if you're entering with the luggage trolley. Breakfast was good, though somewhat limited in the types of dishes served. Overall, we had a great experience. It's a nice hotel to stay in and relax, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. Would love to come back here. :)

Excellent”

Generally the hotel was still a good place to stay with the friendly staff and and clean place. However, they have to maintain their facilities in good condition. The room we stayed in had an improvised faucet in the bathroom. Suggestion to put a bidet since the main reason why guests choose hotels rather than transient houses is the bed and bathroom 🚽 facilities. Hot water was readily available, though. Aside from the bathroom condition, all other aspects were very good. Thanks Newtown Plaza Hotel and kudos to the Front Desk Staff!

Affordable hotel with good service and experience.”

I was not able to avail my booking for this trip as we had a minor car accident that prevented us from travelling to Baguio although I've booked to Newtown Hotel multiple times before and their overall service is just great.

Very comfortable stay”

Overall our stay at Newtown Plaza Hotel was great! There were no problems with the parking space, Enough choices for breakfast, average sized swimming pool, arcade (YES! they have their own private arcade) and what I love the most is the bridged restaurants. Despite the clean facilities, I wish the room was air conditioned. It was far from the busy city which has pros and cons.

Best hotel In the entire Baguio City.”

Fantastic, restful and quiet place to stay for a day or two. Although it's quite a ride from the City proper, taxi is almost instantly available when needed. Highly recommend to families who will visit Baguio City. Planning to stay here again on my next visit from the states.
