Best Hotels near the Beach in Thong Sala

"The first thing that struck me about Milky Bay was the space between and the sheer size of the villas. We stayed in Villa and if you are tossing up between a villa and a normal room I urge you to splash out and get this style of room, worth every penny. Everything from the second/day bed in the corner, the couches, the spacious bathroom... having stayed in a few different styles of resorts and hotels since starting to holiday in Thailand this place is definitely my favourite. We hired a scooter (which was a workhorse) for our stay through the hotel and didn't get scammed, so this place can be trusted. We also got out DVDs, they have a good selection of brouchers and a nice looking pool. We also got massages every day, the ladies were awesome! We also had breakfast & dinner most days here and were never bored with the selection. We did get sick for a night or two, we're not sure if it was from the ice in our many (many) cocktails or something we caught beforehand, but if in doubt stick to beer in Koh Phangan. This resort is also in between Haad Rin and Thong Sala which was handy for all our travel and partying needs, also close to the cross roads to head up to Canopy Adventure and Thong Nai. All in all this is a top place to stay and would definitly recommend it to friends and family and while we like to try a new place every time we come to Thailand it will be hard to top this place."

"My wife and I stayed 4 nights here. We had come from 7 days on Thong Nai Pan Yai and when we hit Thong Sala we were really missing Yai beach. Once we settled into Phangan Island View Hotel we were pleased with our choice of hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area while not a beach is still a quiet and nice place to sun then cool off with a quick dip to drop your overheated temperature. The breakfast choices are all good and the quality of food is excellent also. Our room was very clean. The only negative was that just a few meters outside the hotel is a loud street and busy Thong Sala. For many the location would be great but for my wife and I we found Thong Sala a bit loud, busy and full are fast driven motorbikes. We enjoy more remote quiet settings but we needed to be in Thong Sala for these days before moving on. The hotel setting back off the road meant is was more quiet. You could hear street noise but more as background. The positives of the hotel made it great."

"We were so happy with this place that after few hours we‘ve extended our stay for another week! The owners and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, they gave us tips and guided us trough everything we needed to know to have a great experience here on the island. Bungalows are spacious and comfortable, very clean, with beachy vibe and western touch. AC and WiFi are powerful! There is cool beach bar with hammocks, good breakfast, food and drinks, so if you’re not feeling to go to main road you can just stay with a book all day. But if you do, the location is perfect to reach any place on Koh Phangan by motorbikes. We will be definitely returning next year! Thank you Matylda & Kamila for being the best host! "

"If you have an early Lomprayah the next day then stay here. The fan bungalows are clean, super comfortable (best pillows), and were quiet. I stay here when I need to take an early ferry the next day. It may be difficult to get an early check in but I felt comfortable leaving my bag at the front desk and then walked into thong sala which took max 8 minutes either by beach or road. "

"Standard fan bungalow was very basic as expected. Shower didn't have great pressure and didn't always have warm water. Besides that the place was great! Awesome beach side pool and bar with good chill vibe. Located conveniently near walking street in Thong Sala. I liked that it was far from Haad Rin so you could escape the noise and crowds from the Full Moon Party and resort conveniently provided taxi ride to and from the party for 200 B. Also provided free body paint before the party!"

"We stayed at Phangan beach resort for 2 nights, the resort is complete value for money. It is hardly 3 kms from Thong Sala and further 8 kms to Haad Rin..very conveniently located. Resort has a stunning vista,from beach to pool to hammocks to pool side bar...the place is totally worth it. One disappointment, resort has no food and no alcohol from outside which is quite a bummer!!"

"First the location. It is max 15min walk from pier and the centre of Thong Sala so you can save money on taxi. The bungalow itself is really spacious with huge bed, wardrobe and a sofa. The bathroom is also big with separate shower and a bath. The air-con works great which is sometimes problematic in Thailand (no too cold not to hot). The ocean is just a few steps from the bungalow, at the beach there are resort's sun loungers on which you can lay down. The water is calm and not too deep (reaches the waist of adult man) which is perfect for family with children. It is also a great place for kitesurfing. The dishes at the restaurant are tasty and if you want you can order a dinner to you room and eat it at your terrace and admire the breathtaking view of the ocean. At the resort there are scooter rental and travel agency what is very comfortable. When it comes to staff this requires a longer description. The lady at the reception was extremely helpful, always smiling and was speaking English really good. We would like to thank her for all her help after our scooter accident in which we were injured. She was asking all the time if we need anything, is everything is ok, she arranged us a discount for the damage of the scooter, let us stay beyond check out hour while we were waiting for a ferry and what is more, she also arranged us a transport to the pier. She is lovely person and because of her attitude towards us it will be a great pleasure to visit this place again in the future. We sincerely recommend this resort."

"We booked this place for one night as a stop off between Phuket and Koh Tao and weren't expecting much considering the price. the market was in full swing when we arrived and we worried about the noise carrying to the room. we were greeted by the friendliest lady though and she brought us through a spotless alley and up a set of stairs. The (larger) room was gorgeous! Spacious, stylish and spotless. You also have a view of the beach from the small balcony and its only a 3 minute walk from the ferry pier. It annoys me that I have paid for hotels and apartment that are 5 times as expensive but aren't as good as this. Perfect for couples and short stays. "
