Good, lovely view across Mekong when in pool. We were in new part of hotel across the road from main building. So dont be surprised when you get taken over the road if you have booked a room with city view. Breakfast good.

Great location, great views,”

Very good, a bit load, with the furniture on tiles and doors slamming, but that is the design. Perhaps some door closing pistons would help. Great for a Thai or Chinese family holiday. We drove, so a sot trip into town and dinner on the river was a wonderful excursion,

Value for money”

We were in the area visiting the old Chiengsan ruins and temples. Our group has 9 people and a driver. We checked in a late night and slept well in 4 rooms. The staffs helped suggesting us where our driver could stay (350 baht hotel nearby with A/C for the driver) and let the driver had breakfast with us. The hotel started serving their breakfast at 6.30 am. We forget many things in our rooms when we checked out. They called to our attentions. The services were awesome. They even shipped a battery to our friend's home without an extra fee. The only negative for us (can be positive for a couple travelers) was that the bathroom door was a glass door. No privacy!

Hotel is so good , we got the upgrade room to be executive room which can see the direct river view, so wonderful!!! we enjoyed every minute of our stay at the Siam Triangle Hotel. we were pleasantly surprised that there is a decent and clean hotel in Chieng Saen.

Nice scenery @Khong River”

Hotel is located in the city of Chiang Saen which is beside Khong River. We stayed here for one night and luckily we got the upgrade room from standard to be deluxe room 90 degree Khong River view. The hotel is very nice and staffs are freindly. Breakfast is standard, not much choice but adequate and the taste is good. You can enjoy breakfast and see sunrise in Maekhong river. Really great view, the room is spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately during this period, the road in front of the hotel is underconstruction so there is a lot of dust. If you stay at city view side room, it is noisy from the car and truck and a lot of dust.

Best accomodation in Chiang Saen”

although there are many accomodation possibilities in and around chiang sean, siam triangle is by far the most upscale, but still affordable. there was not really something to complain about, and it's for sure a fair value. we were also lucky enough to get a room at the outer wing, giving us nice views over the pool area and the mae nam kong (mekong river). the hotel was a construction site for many years, so it's even more impressive what they managed to make out of it.

Lovely hotel and great service”

the hotel is not in the nearest location to anywhere but it was sitting just besides the mekong river. we pay extra to upgrade to the river view rooms and find that it is worth the 30% extra. the rooms were beautifully furnish and equipped. for the price that we paid, it was worth every single cent. the staff was friendly and helpful. will come and stay here again definitely if i am in the region.

Nice location, clean and new”

very nice, clean, comfortable place to relax after long travel. not so crowded area even it's located not so close from community area. friendly stuffs, nice breakfast. good for all type of travelers. the room is big and comfortable.

Great value with great view!”

The hotel is new and clean. Make sure you get the river view room. The only downside is that the hotel is locally managed and it might not be as smooth. They forgot to put an extra bed for us and it took us a while before everything was settled. The mountain view is not that nice as you see the street and could be quite noisy. We changed to the river view room and it was worth it! The river is right in front and it was very peaceful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice but we were there during New Year and food was short and they didn't refill it as often.

Lovely hotel on the banks of the river”

Cons: Noisy aircon This booking was a misstake. I was supposed to find a hotel in Chiang Rai and found this one in agoda and didnt notice it was far away from Chiang Rai. About 1 hour drive. At the golden triangle. But I was lucky. The Hotel was great, so was the litte city of Chiang Sean where it is. I had a fantastic time there. The hotel is perfect. Great breakfast, on the banks of the river, great pool, free parking and wifi..

Wonderful and the best view to see river”

Good reception and restaurant which is the best view with breezing from river. Good take care in day and night service of soy milk as room service with free of charge. It's quite room and hotel and it's like heaven on earth to see river bending along Thailand and Lao border. Good terrace to sit and drink or read good book to relax. Free Wi-Fi internet makes us easy to contact to friends and family. I will go back and stay here again next time. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed.

Plenty of other options available”

Resort has great potential right on the Mekong River. Looks great and as good spacious room and balcony. And that's where it ends. Staff were disinterested and poorly trained. When we wanted to extend our stay they said we had to do it online. Restaurant staff didn't bother to set our table or give us a drinks menu. Foos was very average. Pool looks great right beside the river but unfortunately was very dirty. It actually turned my blonde hair green it was so murky. True story.

Just make sure that if they set you up with a day trip ride, you verify the price with the staff and driver together in person so you don't get overcharged by the driver at the end of the day.

Value for money”

Hotel is easy to locate. Ample parking spaces opposite the hotel. No eateries around the hotel but if you have a car, it will not be an issue to drive out to look for the local hawker stalls which is just a 5 minute drive away. Hotel was clean and staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast spread is value for money. Pool is like an infinity pool that faces the river and a morning swim in the pool in very relaxing.

The view from hotel is amazing. You're right on the river looking at Laos. The breakfast is really nice with delicious coffee, omelette station and so many food choices. The bikes in the lobby are free to use and that made for a very fun day exploring the Old Town area. Overall the hotel is pretty nice. A few bad things: wifi pretty much does not work, no one speaks any English, the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything outside, to get to the actual Golden Triangle area you need to take a taxi or TukTuk and there are not necessarily any around. Negotiate the price there and back before you get in. We usually paid $5 each way.

Lovely Short Break”

We returned after five years to this special hotel which we had enjoyed as a relaxing getaway in the past. I loved having a bathtub and the pool is just wonderful. Our evening meal was very tasty and it's lovely being able to eat outdoors on the river's edge. We did the trip on the river to Laos markets, mostly as memorabilia. The breakfast was adequate with eggs, toast and fruit, but mostly caters to Asian tastes. There seemed to be quite a few local business men using the hotel. We enjoyed our stay. The beds are really comfortable with lovely high pillows. There was some English on TV. It would be nice to also have an English movie channel. An interesting part of the world.
