5 day holiday ”

Place was like a home converted to homestay. Breakfast given was simple and good. I like the location . Near to massage , and night market on Saturday n Sunday. Only set back is very hot in summer month.

Our good choice to stay at Baan Malai”

Everything is good at Baan Malai: from the staff, the rooms, the toilet rooms, the breakfast, the garden, the location.... Just one remark for seniors. The staircase is large enough and well enlightened but the steps are rather high and we saw one old man missing his last step. So be careful to your steps or better ask for a first floor accommodation when booking.

I stayed here with my thai family (cousin) for 3 nights. Unfortunately I forgot my beloved shirt on the balcony when i left. Ive called them 5 hrs later but the Cleaning Lady stole my shirt already. Really bad experience in that way...cant trust no one after u leave a hotel in Thailand. So guys, always make sure u pack everything in time and make sure u dont forget anything like me, you wont get it back in this country. I am Thai but i can say thats the worst part here. Anything else is lovely in Thailand though. Other than that, it is a lovely house, with very very clean rooms, even with room foodservice and a nice Reception Lady who made sure our stay is going to be satisfied. Breakfast was awesome! Usually Thai Western Breakfast isnt that good, but here total opposite, very thankful.

- Quiet location, quite far from main road. - Cleanliness and basic amenity were O.K. - Simply breakfast with toast, fried eggs, banana and fresh coffee. - The Owner's serviced mind was excellent.

The hotel is okay, but there are better ones within 5-10 mins walk at similar price range. The bathroom had a sewage smell, so had to keep the exhaust fan on to recycle the air. Besides that, everything was fine with the stay.

close to night market and bus station 1 in chiang rai”

large room, clean & comfortable guesthouse - but we have seen better ones in chiang rai that s why it only got 4 starts. The breakfast can be skipped (which is included in the price, but not marketed online...)

This is our second visit to Baan Malai.The family are exceptional and go out of their way to help.Free breakfast what more could one want.Without hesitation they printed me two lots of onward coach tickets so kind.

Nice place near center of city”

Well presented room in a good location Everything works well and it is clean and well maintained Bathroom is a bit compact, but works well and well appointed Room had a balcony. Many similar places nearby, food available in the Soi,

Very nice place to stay”

I stay there for 1 night just a short trip, staff very friendly and helpful they speak very good English show us the city map and recommend us place to visit without asking. My husband have motor bike accident staff very helpful bring us first aid. I am really appreciated with all her help. We booked room only but they also provide free breakfast for all their guest.

Central, Helpful and Comfortable ”

Desk staff friendly, efficient and helpful at checkin, checkout and with local travel information. Always polite and pleasant and appears vested in ensuring you have a good stay and get the most out of site seeing opportunities. My room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Would stay again.

Baan Malai Stay Aug 3-4, 2017”

The receptionist (Ning) is very accommodating. The location is just walking distance from the night Market and Clock tower. Cheap to buy items there compared to Chatuchak/Patpong if just know how to bargain. Street food everywhere along the main roads. Guest house has clean and spacious room, good a/c. Just have few english channels on TV They also provide free light breakfast (toasted bread and morning drinks). A must see: Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) and Black House Museum (near the airport).

Great value - Good location, friendly staff and comfy room”

We enjoyed our trip here tremendously. The bed and the pillow were wonderful and I slept well here every day. I didn't expect much of breakfast but it turned out to be good. The staff were very helpful and kind; we were amazed by the key chain souvenir when we left. We also booked a one day tour through the hotel and the tour guide spoke

Nice and cozy place to stay in Chinagrai”

Been here during the weekend, the hotel location is quite good and with a walk distance to the night bazaar. Hotell staffs are friendly and helpful. The place does offer small breakfast tea and coffee during the morning. Will consider this place if we visit Chiangrai next time

Good quiet location in walking distance to Night Bazar”

Helpful staff, pointing out to take the free streetcar around town (everyday at 0930 and 1330). Clean and quiet room. Beds were soft as well. Breakfast as stated is only toast with coffee and bananas, but that is okay as common in Chiang Rai we noticed. Night Bazar is less than 10min walk and feels safe to walk at night to and from. Unfortunately it was fully booked when we wanted to extend by one night and had to go the neigbours, which was not so good.....

I arrived at 10:30 PM and was greeted by very nice & helpful staff. Room was as I had requested. Nice clean room & bathroom. In the morning I had Cafe Latte with fruit. I can highly recommend Baan Malai Guest House.

Helpful staff”

We picked this hotel for its location close to the night bazaar. The staff helped us to book our day tours, including modifying one tour so that it included all the things we wanted to do. Our Thai is limited and so was their English, but we managed to communicate. Loved our time here.

Comfortable stay”

Even though Baan Malai a guest house, but it's condition is look like a four star hotel. It is a great value for money. We feel very comfortable and the staff are friendly. I would recommend to our friends next time.

Was surprised when i arrived here.Wasnt expecting such a nice guesthouse for the amount i paid. Very modern spacious room,super clean,friendly and helpful staff. Is close to night bazaar but located in quiet street Next time in chiang rai will stay here again

Great Home stay in Chiangmai Rai ”

The staff are very nice and friendly , even the owner also very kind. They helped me with my laundry and it was for free. The room is big and clean . Breakfast very simple and selfe service but the coffee is the best . For sure I'll stay in this place again when I come back to Chiang Rai
