The receptionist was friendly and helpful. The hostel is well located, close to a bar and restaurant, which was helpful as we could find some food at night when we arrived. Room clean and tidy. The only inconvenience was the noise coming from the roof at night (but I was glad that the people upstairs didn't take too long to fall asleep). The comum areas are very handy and we could find everything we needed. I would recommend that.

Listed as free WiFi, but that wasn’t the case. Our room smelled like a bottle of fabreeze was spilled everywhere, even with the windows open. It’s okay for the price, but there are better options if you don’t need the other facilities and just want a private room/bathroom. On the positive, It’s nice having a restaurant/bar right next door that is open late when not much else in town is.

We booked a private double room with ensuite bathroom. When we came into our room, there were no towels. When we asked about that at the reception, the answer was "We don't put towels in the room. Guests must ask for it.". Strange policy! The kitchen was big enough with everything you need. Unfortunatly, tea and coffee are not provided for free. Wifi is also not free. If you want to do the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, don't book the shuttle with them. Even if weather doesn't permit the crossing, they will bring you to the crossing. There is a better shuttle service at Whakapapa Village.

今回4人部屋に泊まりました。部屋は広く窓からは山が一望でき、とてもキレイでした。しかし施設自体が少し古いのか床が一部ギシキシなり凹んでいたり、備え付けのオイルヒーターが余り暖かくならず夜、朝は寒かった。また、トイレ、シャワーは部屋専用だったが電気ポットなどがなく、お茶を飲むにも下のキッチンにいかなくてはならないのが少し残念だった。
