Old hotel”

The staff at the car parking ‘s so rude. The pool is unbelievable, old and dirty, cloudy water, scum on top, seems like nobody was there for a long time. Room and service is good as well. Recommend another Muong Thanh Hotel in Vinh.

Friendliest place in vietnam”

Vinh has the friendliest people anywhere. The hotel has usual Asian midrange hotel problems but the staff is excellent. Little English in vinh but we ate well. Minh hong restaurant great and staff over attentive. Ate at corner street restaurant (nha hang nua rung)near hotel and young staffer brought out his smartphone and interpreted our order. For those traveling by train 5 minute walk from station.

Enjoyable stay, comfortable room and good service”

We stayed four nights., a very pleasant stay. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Our room was a good size and comfortable. The breakfast was very good every morning and we also enjoyed several meals in the dining room in the evening. The hotel is good location, just across the road from the train station, Ga Vinh. We would happily stay again.

Great hotel! ”

I loved the hotel. Super clean and the receptionist was very friendly and spoke great english. This hotel has honestly earned its 3 stars, very luxurious and high-class! Tubs in bathrooms, outdoor swimming pool, mall and small shops right next to the hotel. Loved every single detail and the breakfast was brilliant. I can't eat typical vietnamese breakfast but they had a large variety of asian and western food, fruit, toast, rolls, cake and much more. And all that for the Agoda price of 19.50$ - WHAT?!

Good for one night stay”

We stayed here simply to stop over before we boarded the train the next day. The hotel is huge... we must have been stayed in the resonated part (reading from the last comments) as our room was really nice! Bed so comfortable, very clean, shower and bathroom were amazing. Breakfast is not good! But you can just walk over the road to the train station so was great for us

World class courtesies in an affordable hotel”

I will most definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. Yes, it is 3 star, but the service, kindness, attention to detail and courtesy of the staff and management are world class!

Old hotel, cheap & helpful staff”

Very old & worn out but everything is clean, small room, central location right next to the train station, kudos to staff for being very nice and helpful, food was ok, overall very good value for the price

Communication and disturbances”

I arrived in the evening and asked the lady reception to book me a taxi for 5.30am to the bus station. In the morning the young man on duty had no idea about this or the fact I was checking out early so I guess there's a communication problem, worsened by the fact he didn't speak any English. About 11pm someone rang on my room's doorbell while I was sleeping. I ignored it only to find about 11.30 pm it was rung persistently thereby ruining my sleep. I had to answer the door to a "sorry" from a young man, either a guest or staff. Obviously the information that my room was occupied had not reached this man.

Cheap price with breakfast included. Near the train station, walking across the road to arrive. Staffs are friendly and supportive.

Run down hotel whose best days are over”

Affordable hotel in good location close to the train station. The staff is very friendly, but the building old and run down. Many things in the room and building are broken or not working (AC, door lock, pool water not cleaned anymore etc.). The breakfast buffet is totally amazing however!!

The breakfast buffet is amazing and the staff very friendly. Only 2 minutes to the train station. Otherwise the hotel is run down and many things broken in the room and hotel (door lock not working, dirty walls and carpet, AC broken, pool not cleaned), etc. So don't expect a luxury hotel!

Staff s very friendly, beds are comfortable and the rooms are nice. However the hotel smells like mold, the pool is filthy and not well maintained.

Handy location although slightly falling apart”

The hotel provides a useful stopover en route elsewhere, being a 2 minute walk from the station and less than 10 minutes by taxi to the bus station. Staff were good at helping me figure out how to get a bus ticket and very early taxi to the bus station. The rooms exemplify what happens when you build a nice hotel and don't spend anything on maintaining it, everything is basically falling apart, although the bed was comfortable and it all just about worked. In other words, it did the job at the end of the day, and there are a few good pho stalls nearby for sustenance.

As a local chain hotel, this hotel is not expensive but fair. Staffs are so rude specially during Tet festival.

Friendly staff, spacy room”

We stayed just for a night and checked-in quite late at night. The receptionist is very friendly and smily. The check-in process is very fast. The room is spacy. Beds are ok in case you don't expect the luxury ones. Air con is quite noisy at night time - it didn't bother us too much as we were too tired after a long trip. We stayed on 3rd floor and on 2nd floor there is a restaurant that allows ppl to sing karaoke at night time which is quite noisy. Luckily they finished at around 10. Let's imagine if they sing until mid night!
