Perfect for business”

At the time of visiting, Muong Thanh Saigon was a relatively new hotel. So, despite some dubious style choices in the reception area, it was generally neutrally decorated, smart and modern. I was very impressed with my "deluxe" room, both for these reasons and for its facilities: comfortable bed, good working space, lovely rain shower and a lot of light (well blocked out by the curtains at night). It was also quiet - although I could hear general hubbub from a restaurant nearby, it wasn't disturbing and didn't go on too late (I was on the 6th floor). I was only there for one night so didn't check out what was on the TV or explore the gym, but I had a swim in the pool - very nice - and a foot massage - a bit on the painful side. Breakfast was OK. It was a standard Asian buffet - I've had a few and this was one of the better ones, but it doesn't really stack up against the buffet's you'd get at more Western chains. The dining room was nice though, apart from the noisy children. Staff were very friendly and efficient. There were only a few couple of minor issues that let it down. Firstly, there was someone cleaning the pool the whole time I was there. Why do that during opening hours?? I had to swim around or over pipes. Secondly, some hooks in the bathroom would be great!

A very good bargain”

This is my second time to stay in Muong Thanh Saigon Centre Hotel. This is a really good hotel in terms of value and location. The prices are much more reasonable compared to nearby hotels. At the same time, the rooms are clean and have all necessities for the average traveler. The hotel is just a short walk from the Cathedral, Post Office, Opera House, and upscale shops along Dong Khoi.

Great Hotel Selection in Saigon”

I stayed at the hotel for three nights in January. I cannot say enough things about the service. The staff were always ready for anything we need. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. With their modern amenities and thoughtful design, the Muong Thanh Hotel will stand out among other hotels in Saigon. The locations is perfect to downtown and other tourist attractions. One plus thing for the first timers that you don't need to arrange any sightseeing tours & facilities in advance, the guys at the front desk are extremely helpful to give you all the options you could consider.The only complaint I have with the hotel is they charged extra fee for the room key card replacement. e was about the extra fee associated with the room key card replacement. However, I will definitely come back to this wonderful hotel soon!

GREAT STAY HIGHLY RECOMMEND”

We had a wonderful stay at Muong Thanh Saigon. The staff are very attentive and nothing is too much to ask, they are very quick to respond to any queries or requests. Room was beautiful, you can tell this is a very new hotel. The dining area is high class and the service staff are very helpful. The breakfast is delicious and very adequate with western and Asian / Vietnamese cuisine on offer. Location is very near to most attractions with taxi ride costing between 25000VND and 40000 VND. I would highly recommend this hotel to any other travelers. Wifi was stable and fast.

The website does not do justice to this wonderful hotel. My impression of the website photos was that the hotel was a very modern, tastefully designed hotel but possibly in a quiet, isolated Embassy location that was lifeless after office hours. In fact, the location was quite central and lively with interesting cafes, shops and modern malls nearby. The hotel's rooms and public areas are very nicely furnished though less modern than in the photos, and the hotel overall had more character than in the photos. Excellent friendly staff and efficient service. Spa, swimming pool, gym in the hotel, breakfast and a la carte dining were very good. Had I known there was a Muong Thanh Hotel in Hanoi, I would've stayed there too.

Hotel with great potential and great staff”

This Hotel is brand new, the staff is great, friendly and willing to help but they're not completely ready yet. The management could improve on few things : the pool close at 7 ( really ?? after a day walking around a Saigon you're telling me the pool close at 7pm ??!! ), the staff wasn't aware that the gym close at 10pm so the AC was off ( they turn it on when i asked), the breakfast is good but similar to any Vietnamese hotel in term of dishes (quality is good though here). The computers at the business center are not connected to the printer (the staff helped me again). Overall our stay was good and pleasant, just few mistakes because the hotel just opened but the staff try really hard to please customers. I just think the management should be more present but Im sure everything will be corrected within a few weeks. I forgot the location, it's awesome!! Good restaurants around (bun bo hue, bun cha and pho 2 min walking), large sidewalk, little bit further from Ben Thanh and district 1 main attraction but if it's not your first trip in Saigon you will like it better.

Muong Thanh is directly across the street from the American Consulate and right off of one of the main boulevards in Ho Chi Min City. It's a nice hotel just recently built. The room is comfortable. Breakfast was good. Easy 20 to 30 min ride to airport at most.

New and sparkling clean”

Overall we had a good stay at the Muong Thanh Hotel. The hotel was brand new and I preferred the location to other very touristy areas of the city. It's a short taxi ride to anywhere and if you enjoy walking like we do, it's not hard to get around. Our room was new, comfortable and I would even say chic! The hotel itself was great but there seemed to be a few things they needed to be straighten out. I agree with other reviewers that it's a bit odd to be in such a nice hotel and then have to set my shampoos and everything on the shower floor because there is nowhere to put them. Also, our hot water was not very reliable. Having a cold shower at the end of a hot day walking around is not bad, but a cold shower first thing in the morning after spending the night in an air-conditioned room is not very pleasant. Personally, I was pretty disappointed that smoking is allowed inside the enclosed breakfast dining room, but I know that this is common practice for Vietnamese restaurants. Our room also smelled like cigarette smoke when we first arrived, eventually airing out after our 4 night stay. Breakfast was average, but was included with our room so there's not much I can complain about. If it hadn't been included I would have spent a better dollar elsewhere. It was also curious that we had some sort of water leak coming into our room from next door and drilling on the other side but not a word was said to us as far as an explanation or apology. All this to say that there are some minor drawbacks, but nothing too serious to make me not want to stay there again. I'm sure these are all kinks to be ironed out with such a new facility. I would probably try this hotel out again in the future.

Good decent hotel”

Pros - good size room - good breakfast choices and well laid out too - decor is quite modern - quite close to the major attractions of Ho Chi Minh - coffee facility in-room - 2 free bottled water daily - room service are reasonably priced and portions are very decent too - staff are quite polite Cons - beds are so low and not particularly comfortable - bedding needs replacing as they are quite old now - I requested a double bed but got two twin moved together ( not cool) - staff struggled with basic English hence I found it difficult to book tours through the hotel (not a show stopper because there are alternatives) All in all, I’ll stay again

Great Hotel in the middle of Ho Chi Minh - Close to everything!”

Great Hotel! Check in was no problem and the room was fantastic. This hotel is a short walk from most of the attractions like the Central Post Office, Reunification Palace etc...Breakfast was fantastic - lots of choice available! The staff were friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again when we visit Ho Chi Minh City

i have spent 1 nite at Muong Thanh Saigon Centre Hotel and feel satisfy with its conditions. very good location in the middle of Sai Gon, just 5 mins walking to shopping malls, sightseeing places... and staff's performance very well.

Breakfast was bad ”

While the hotel wasn’t bad, the breakfast was. First there wouldn’t be any staff asking if you’d like to drink anything. Other Muong Thanh hotels do this so why not this one. Then the food selection was what disappointed me the most. The food itself never felt very fresh and the selection was very poor. This was our forth Muong Thanh hotel and definitely the worse out of them in terms of overall experience.

One of my favorite hotels in saigon”

We are a couple visiting Vietnam from the US. It was the first time we visited Saigon, therefore we had spent tons of time researching locations and places to stay to make sure we would get the best experience out of the trip. We first picked this hotel based on its location being close to a lot of attractions. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room. The bed was truly king sized and amazingly comfortable! They even gave us a free upgrade because the hot water was not consistent in the room we booked. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the menu changed every day, it was a mixed of western and vietnamese food, and plenty of tropical fruits! The pool was nice and empty most of the time. We also tried a massage session and loved it, though it's kinda pricey. There's a convenient store adjacent to the hotel where we went for daily stuff. In fact the stay was so good we are considering coming back soon for the second time, and will definitely book this hotel again every time we visit saigon.

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff”

To me, the location of the hotel is good because it is not right in the city centre, it has a lot of eating places nearby like Phở, KFC, lots of convenient stores. Within walking distance to popular tourist attraction places. Hotel is clean, the room is clean, the air cond is not strong enough because it is placed near the door but the whole room will eventually cooling down. Wide variety of choices for breakfast, I found all staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Some reviews say otherwise but I think it's up to each individual person's point of view and how they approach a situation, it may be dự án to a person's character also. May be I've been lucky because I've encountered all the nice people. I would recommend this hotel to my friend and I personally will come back to this hotel again.

Will definitely stay here again”

The hotel is not as conveniently located as other District 1 hotels (a further walk to and from Ben Thanh Market) but is worth the just-slightly extra distance for cleanliness and design of hotel and its rooms. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Enjoyable stay with great spa promotion”

It is a very enjoyable stay at Muong Thanh Saigon Centre Hotel. I especially like the spa service at the 4th level. As they are operating for the first month, they offer a 50% discount to all guests which is very worthy. The hotel room is standard in size and clean. However, the air conditioning is not very cooling. Also the restaurant breakfast buffet is nice but lunch and dinner are not so good. Suggest the guests to eat outside.

More than my expectation”

The hotel is near the downtown, price is good compare to other similar hotels. Muong Thanh chain is one of the good options with reasonable price and good location.
