Exceptional”
Great place to stay in Sabang if you intend to log dives while getting some work done: good food options, close to a lot of dive shops and the town center, and reliable wi-fi and electricity/backup generator. The staff was attentive and friendly. Yes, there can be a lot of chit-chat between them. But I see this as a good thing. You get a happy homey vibe -- an extra perk when staying at Montani. I will definitely be back soon! :)

A Quiet Place in Sabang”
This place is right on the water, close to the heart of Sabang but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise. The architecture of the hotel is like A microcosm of Sabang itself: lots of hidden hallways and stairways to who knows where. The room is very clean, if dated. The staff are generally quite nice and helpful. The only annoyance was that the first day one staff member kept threatening me that I would have to pay if I broke their keycard- the keycard system they use is literally from 1975 (I checked- VingCard, the kind with the holes in it).

Affordable and great rooms but pricey food”
We loved our stay here. The staff were all nice but kind felt off with the other male staffs who were fixing another room and were smoking a lot. I have asthma so whenever I step out of our room, I’m immediately greeted by the smell of cigarettes thus triggering my cough. The rooms are really great though! We even got upgraded to the balcony room as there was a leak on the first room that we had because of the strong monsoons. Pool was also okay and the view in front of the bar and restaurant was a beaut as it was facing the beach. They also have cheap beer during their happy hour from 5-8pm! Another con would be the expensive food tho. But other than that, we enjoyed our stay here overall.

Ok, but not great”
This place is ok, nothing special. The room was a good size, nice, and the bathroom was kinda fancy. The price did reflect what you get. Not great value but not bad value either. I got the Sea-side room. I could see a partial view of the sea looking through the lobby and restaurant. I paid about $55 per night. There was a couple of things that weren't great. The first one is not that big of a deal. I killed a huge cockroach in the bathroom. The bathroom was kept clean by the staff through. The second kind of sucks. When I checked into the room, I noticed this huge bucket next to the bed. I thought, "Hey, that was kind of nice of them to give me a huge bucket so I can soak my snorkeling gear." Later I turned on the aircon and discovered out why that bucket was there. I stayed for 5 days and they had no intention to fix it. I don't think they ever had any intention to fix it. They probably will ride it out to death. I kind of expected more when I paying $55/night for 5 nights.

The room is a bit old, my room's door is hard to open and close. Room is clean, but sometime I saw cockroach in bathroom. The staffs are very nice, they are kindly, and help me a lot.

Great location with a reasonable price”
Dark room, no view, rain shower, but right in the beach front. They have a lot of int'l TV channels. Within walking distance to the pier and everything. Need better maintenance and more hospitality though.

This place is OK, nothing special. The rooms are clean and the bathroom is fancy, but I did kill a huge cockroach in the bathroom. The price does reflect the fancy bathroom, at least the room I was in which was the Sea-side room. You can catch a limited view of the sea through the restaurant and the lobby. The only thing that sucks at this place is that my aircon leaks. When I first checked in, I was wondering why this huge bucket was in the room next to the bed. I found out why when I turned on the aircon. I stayed for 5 days and they had no plan to fix it. The bucket in the room is the fix. I have a feeling they will never fix it and just ride the aircon out until it dies. Kind of expecting more when I'm paying about $55 a night.

The room smells very bad damp.”
The room smelled very bad of damp when we entered the room 18. I didn't make a sound because I thought the room was stuffy. I left the fan and the door open. Then I saw that the room had black ceilings and toilet ceilings were black from moisture and humidity. I am working as a manager in 5 star hotels in Turkey. In our room such a room was certainly not allowed to be painted in 1 hour. When we were in the room for 2 days we left the door open. We slept hard at night. my holiday was poison. Wish you could send pictures. This room shows that this hotel is untrustworthy This room has long been given to other guests this way

This hotel/place is more for diving area if you prepared kind of beach much more better in "White Beach" just 15 mins from Baletero Port in Puerto Galera

The room we are in was not what we expected i thought the standard fan has an electric fan or stand fan working but it uses a ceiling fan that doesnt even produce air. It is very hot in the room and we are sweating. And the door of the room were broken and some holes can be seen so its a security risk good thing we have a masking tape. Also it has poor lighting. Good for the money maybe because it has low standard facilities good thing the CR is good but not really as accomodating as we expected.

Unfortunately the room had mosquitoes, the seal from the hall to the room was not airtight so more mosquitoes were able to get into the room. The front desk staff was agressive when we tried to speak with her.

bait and switch regarding fees”
We tried to extend the trip and saw the exact same rate available we paid the night before. when we spoke with the front desk they said we could book directly and would offer the same online price. when it was time to pay they increased the per night price by 30% and said that was the standard nightly cost. we were dissappointed ny the very deceptive pricing

the fan room was very mouldy and smelly. Even the walls were wet. No proper window, like a bunker. Cannot recommend it. Misleading information on agoda as well!
