3rd time staying at Miami Beach Resort & Spa”
1) benefit is it's a brief 3 block walk over to Fontainebleau lobby bar which is a great spot for nightlife. 2) rooms are fine - 4 star - clean - no complaints 3) the sauna hasn't working 3 years. The steam room works if you put your towel over your head and stand over the steam... it's definitely not tranquil but if you need to detox / sweat out alcohol / toxins - it serves its purpose. It's free to use while if you stay at Eden Roc or Fontainebleau - their spa will cost you around USD50.00. At Miami Beach Resort & Spa - their nonworking sauna and old steam room is free. 4) Lobby is nice. 5) staff have always been pleasant. 6) you're right on the beach and you're in a nice area of South Beach. Walgreens is about 10 minute walk away and so is Subway. Overall I guess I'd stay here again if Eden Roc and Fontainebleau prices are too high than what I want to pay for. Hotel Victor is another option with a sauna - much nicer place but in busy South Beach by Clevelander Bar.

Good on a budget”
If you are looking for a no frills hotel right on the beach this hotel can't be beat. Rooms are in quality condition, bathrooms way out of date but functional. While they can stand to make an update and had a major leak in the basement shop during my stay it really was a good hotel overall. There was only one restaurant open during our stay, but there is a small cafe open until 5 or 6, and then a vending area that wasn't consistently open when it was supposed to be, which was after the cafe closed. The little shop they had was great. Clothes, snacks, shoes, toiletries. Everything at your finger tips for without having to leave the hotel. Pool was awesome to hang out at and they give you towels you can take down to the beach. Resort fee doesn't include the chairs and umbrellas at the beach like the Grand Beach next door does so that was a little disappointing. At half the price of the Grand Beach and close to my friends who stayed next door it was worth it and I'd stay again.

Great historic hotel ”
We were staying here one night post cruise. It’s very close to everything that’s happening in Miami Beach. It’s a really cool old historic building. I really enjoyed the view from our room as well. I will definitely stay here again.

Great stay at Miami Beach”
We spent 5 nights in the hotel with my Brother and it was very enjoyable! Although as you can read in other reviews the hotel is a little outdated, all other aspects made our stay perfect. Staff were extremely nice and helpful! The location of the hotel is perfect, located a couple miles from South Beach with easy access to the centre via Uber. The hotel is located right at the beach, with a beautiful view from the room, outdoor pool and a bar next to it, gym and saunas. We stayed in a double room with partial ocean view, with 2 big beds that were very comfortable and the bathroom is large with 2 sinks separated with a door so ideal for 2 ppl. The hotel has a restaurant with great kitchen, vending machines, coffeeshop for the morning where you can have bakery products and good coffee. Altogether it was a super enjoyable stay!

Excellent”
Beautiful hotel and private beach. Rooms are nice but no microwave or refrigerator so be prepared to spend money on eating out. Places to eat are about 15 blocks away which I didn’t mind driving BUT there is no way you can find a parking spot anywhere so it’s best to get a taxi or Uber. Other than that staff was amazing and so friendly. Check out took less than 2 minutes. I would go here again!

GOOD LOCATION”
We enjoyed our stay. The room was descent and clean. The hotel is dated, but nice still. I would suggest reviewing all their policies before booking. We used a third party booking and the resort fee was not disclosed. At check-in, we were only informed of the deposit (which I was aware of) and that it would be refunded at checkout. The resort fee was mentioned only at the end of the visit, which was a little shady to me. Other than that, we enjoyed our visit to Miami. Unfortunately, we will not be utilizing this hotel again.

great hotel, small problems”
The hotel has a great location. The problem is that even AGODA says no other fees apply .... well I had to pay for the tax and for parking! We loved the staff and the beach was fantastic. We'll be back!

Good hotel, annoying parking fees ”
Went here for my honeymoon and the location is very beautiful, however the rooms/elevators need an upgrade. My husband and I weren’t super satisfied with the room, we also didn’t get a view of the ocean. The only great aspect of the hotel was access to the beach, it took less than a minute to get there and we went every single day. We also rented a car, and once we got to the hotel we learned that there was a $32 parking fee to leave he car in the hotel & to take it out. So of course we felt guilty for even having to take out the car during our trip, but we did anyway and during check out had to pay approximately $200 in parking fees which included a hotel fee of $15 and and hotel tax of approximately $2 every time the car was used. Next time when booking a hotel, make sure you’re not paying any ridiculous parking fees, it will suck the fun out of your trip.

Nice place for taking a break”
This place is really nice and luxurious. There is anything you can find nearby, shop at the ground floor of the hotel and 2 minutes walk to the beach with a hotel towel service.

Mixed feelings”
We initially selected this hotel because there are spa facilities and the price was great. Imagine our surprise when the spa would not call us back after leaving 3 messages and then in speaking to a hotel manager come to find out the spa is "not part of the hotel". When we finally got through they only spoke Spanish and couldn't/wouldn't take our various appointments for 5 people. That was a huge disappointment and left us with a bad taste. We were fortunate to find a hotel down the street with beautiful spa facilities.

Value for your money”
This is a cheap old hotel in desperate need of a full renovation. That being said, you can not be anywhere close to here for at least 200% more money. Value is not in the property but in the location. My advice- Have a few drinks so you won’t notice how bad it is and take a few sleeping pills so you can sleep thru the wind banging on the windows and hearing all your neighbors thru the paper thin walls. I guess it’s a good thing that the TV’s are from the late 90’s so you don’t have to worry about rooms next to yours TV’s blaring. Oh- also give yourself a few extra minutes for the elevator... Enjoy Miami!

Lovely traditional hotel”
This hotel is in a beautiful location, the views are stunning, it is a long walk from the bars and restaurants of south beach but the peaceful location makes it worth while, with the free bus running all day and night it makes it so worth while. Pool is lovely, pool bar was closed for work but not having work done which was a shame, would have lived to watch the sunset from there

Oh Dear”
Your turn up... Initially you are cornered into a $32 valet parking fee.... The so called luxury rooms are bare basic and completely run down... the staff (except for ceasar who was very helpful and deserves better than this run down hotel) are rude un attentive and when you question anything call you 'mean' no basics in a junior suite room i.e fridge and amenities... There website says" you will indulge in refreshing luxury" ( complete opposite) No room service after travelling all day... you have to collect yourself as no one can deliver to room??? yet they can deliver your bill when you are checking out under your door?? basically I know people moan for the sake of it but please don't stay here at any cost for your sanity... were are now down in Key West staying at what a Florida hotel should be... relaxing... attentive... proper friendly service and not trying to rip you off at every angle... Miami Beach Resort and Spa give yourself a massive kick in the right direction please

Over priced ”
This hotel masks itself as a fancy hotel when it really is not. While it is true that it is nice to be by the beach, for $50 extra dollars we could have gotten a nicer hotel. The rooms were more run down that than look in the pictures (the pictures must have been photo shopped). When we arrived and got up to our room, we didnt have enough towels, the sheets were stained, and we were suprised to learn that we needed to pay an extra fee each day for valet parking. Additionally thought our way at one point, the valet service scratched our rental car’s rim very badly.

Basic, slightly dirty”
Extremely dated. The entrance is very grand and gets your expectations high. The staff at the front ddesk so were extremely warm and welcoming. Started off love by the place. The room was extremely dated and not at all worth the money. It smelled very old and stale as well. The linens were clean, but the room its of was dirty. There were smudges n windows and as well as odd smears on the desk and night stand. The chairs also had weird stains. At first glance the room appears clean but when actually relaxing it was rather gross and dirty. Went down to the pool and it was very bare and boring. It was unclear where to get towels. when asking a staff member they were very cold and made us feel stupid and informed us that we should have gotten them from the front desk even though the front desk staff had told us to get them down by the pool. Thought about eating at the resturabt that night but when we walked in we’re very underwhelmed. The tables had weird smudges, Again apeared dirty.

Please consider other options.”
The pros were location; the hotel is on Collins Ave and right on the beach. The pool was also pretty and warm. Perfect for a beach getaway. We also didn’t see any bugs. The cons were the hotel was old and dirty. It is more like a big motel. The first thing that greets you is an old, dirty, red carpet. The staff was not friendly or inviting. Valet is the only option. The rooms were also dirty. We did not feel comfortable walking barefoot or sitting on the lounge chair. The toilet seat was too low to the ground. The bar makes weak expensive drinks. The fitness center was cramped. Check out is a nuisance if you want your final bill.
