Excellent”
Landed in Ho Chi Minh at 1am, so we had booked a pick up service with Meraki Hotel but after waiting at the airport for over 20 minutes no one came. Uber drivers were quoting 85,000VND ($3 USD) but you must have small denominations otherwise you cant pay the exit fee at the airport. We didnt have anything smaller than 100,000VND so we caught a taxi for 200,000VND (which was cheaper than the $17 USD Meraki was offering). Meraki did apologise the next day when they realised their mistake of forgetting to pick us up. The hotel itself was in a fantastic location, right in the hub of bars and clubs, great for nightlife as street is lively after 7pm. Lots of good restaurants in the street. 10 minute walk to Ben Thanh markets (you must remember to haggle there), and if taking a taxi must take Vinasun taxis as these are the cheapest. We booked the XO foodie tour online and we also booked the Cu Chi Tunnels with the hotel for $24 USD. Clean hotel, average breakfast, solid view of the streets from the roof top breakfast area.

Very good”
The Meraki Hotel is a great place to stay if you are looking for an inexpensive Hotel in District 1. We paid a few Dollars extra to get a doubled room with a window. The furniture seemed new and the room was always clean, nevertheless the bathroom could use some renovations and a fresh set of paint on the walls wouldn't hurt. A big plus for us was the super friendly staff, who were very helpful in finding nice restaurants and also organized good offers on day trips for us. The rooftop bar was also something very special because of its great few and very hip exterior. Before you book a room, you should consider the fact that the Meraki Hotel is directly located at the backpacker area of Ho-Chi-Minh, which means that the streets are packed with people and loud music is playing from dusk till dawn. Overall we hat the feeling you get what you pay for.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
The hotel is clean at great location. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was average. I will recommend the hotel to my friends if they visit to Ho Chi Minh City. Two stars hotel but the Staffs are giving five stars services. The staffs helped us to carry our luggage when we first arrived and also when we left. There were three staffs helping us to get a taxi and saying goodbye in front of the hotel when we left for the airport.

Good and Simple (prime location for sightseeing)”
This centrally located hotel is perfect for getting a good night sleep in a clean room with a clean bathroom. Decent wifi and a responsive staff make it an easy choice for being the right place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). While the in-house breakfast is convenient, you only need walk outside the hotel to have dozens of food and bar choices. We've already stayed here twice!

Great location at a very reasonable price”
This is the 3rd time we've stayed here (the first time since being renamed to Meraki) and we wouldn't hesitate in coming back next time we're in HCM. It can get a bit noisy here because you're right smack bang in the middle of the busy backpacker district but that's the price you pay for a very convenient location. Didn't bother us but did bother some others in the group. My strong recommendation would be to pay for the slightly more expensive VIP and Family rooms regardless of how many people are in your group. These rooms are much nicer and only cost a fraction more per night so are well worth the investment. Some tips and tricks - the front desk service is excellent, very helpful, so don't hesitate to ask for assistance to book taxis (to not get ripped off), suggest good restaurants (we tried the Ngon Restaurant and it was brilliant), to arrange cheap same day laundry service (we paid about 10k dong per kg) and book tours (we didn't do this but others did and were happy with price and quality). The Bun Cha restaurant directly across the road was awesome and cheap ($12AUD for dinner and beers), we also booked a 2 day, 1 night Mekong homestay tour at Backpacker Travel tour agency just disengage the road for the grand sum of $77 for 2 people. Pretty touristy but hard to argue with the price. So basically this place is very well located well priced and offers great service for those looking to get the most out of HCM. Would definitely recommend you give it a go!

Right place, right price”
We spent one night in Ho Chi Minh at the hotel. Check in time is sharply 1 p.m. Reception greet us very well and give us map of city and suggestion list as well. we rested in very big triple room and wifi is very quick. They also can arrange taxi to airport with fixed price (190,000 vnd) to you as well.

Never thought I’d enjoy Ho Chi Minh this much!”
Location was good - short walking distance to Ben Than Market, different tourist spots and it is in the party Bui Vien street of District 1. Some people would not reccommend this if you don’t like noise or loud music, nah! If you’re dead tired from walking around, you will never mind those. Hahaha! Price was reasonable and affordable. Free breakfast was good - noodles, eggs, bread, coffee and different spreads. Lastly, staffs were polite and accommodating especially Pang. I will be back for sure. Well reccommended! Cam on rat nhieu!

A small gem on Bui Vien Street in Pham Ngu Lao”
Don't under-estimate this small hotel along the Bui Vien Street, one of the most happening street in the Pham Ngu Lao area, unbelievable prices and shopping, and its central location makes it so easy to go anywhere as taxi is so affordable and recommended. The room we had, though for 3 pax, is clean and tidy, well-furnished with everything you would expect from a hotel of that size, and then some. I only missed the Vietnam Coffee that I can enjoy straight in the hotel room that I had in Hanoi. It would be a nice touch though had this been provided. Anyway, you can have as much Vietnam coffee as you like on the street itself, its everywhere! Food is nearby everywhere, though for a real good one, you have to get a taxi to go there and taxi is so affordable. Most recommended form of transport if you are in HCMC. Breakfast is complimentary every morning from 7am and its more than enough to charge you for the activities of the day. All in all, we had a really nice stay, the staff are so nice and very friendly. You couldn't complain on that. Would I come back for my stay, most likely.

Value for money mini hotel!”
Very friendly counter staff - always smiling and helpful in providing directions/answering tourist queries with ready maps! Breakfast area is located at the 10th floor with a good view of the skyline of District 1 but the aircon was not working during my 5-day stay, so it could get a bit stuffy and the hot sun coming in did not help. The deluxe room has window with the street view of Bui Vien which can be noisy till the wee hours in the morning, so not recommended for light sleepers. Very centralised location with lots of eateries, convenience shops, ATMs, pharmacy, supermarkets etc nearby.

Great value, wonderful staff and excellent location”
I enjoyed my stay very much from the moment I arrived. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful and everything was always clean.I decided to stay longer than I had planned in Ho Chi Minh and I had no doubts about staying at this hotel for the rest of my stay.I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to H.C.M.It is centrally located, has many shops and restaurants all around and yet it was surprisingly quiet.Very good value.

Perfect location”
Located bang in bui vien right in the heart of the back packer district, night clubs, bars, restaurants and bulk massage parlors all within seconds walk. Rooms were modern, clean, well equipped and had a real nice view. The staff there were great to us and very helpful, don't dare try carry your own suitcase down or up the stairs lol. The receptionist even booked as an uber to the airport instead of a taxi, a taxi cost us 140 000dong there while the uber was only 80 000 dong... insanely cheap! Will comment that the breakfast is extremely average, but it was included and i think only costs like $2 if you buy it there. looks like a burger king being opened across the road too, would be handy for western cravings.

Great for partying for a 3-4 day weekend ”
The location of this hotel is DIRECTLY on Bui Vien Street, which is awesome for us! It can get pretty noisy at night, especially on the weekends, so only book if you’re looking to party. The street completely changes day to night, and it was really cool to watch that happen. We booked for a long weekend and that was just enough time for us. It’s within reasonable walking distance of the museums too, if you don’t mind walking about a mile or two. Complimentary water, working shower, really nice staff, and a rooftop if you’re into it. It had all that we wanted for a decent price ($11/person/night)

Nice place”
Nice and well located. The hotel is just walking distance from Ben Thanh Market. From the airport, you can easily get there by taxi or simply local bus which cost 5,000 Dong per person and it stops at the station right across Ben Thanh market. First bus in the morning leaves at 6am from the same station. Staff were friendly and helpful. They served basic breakfast but fair enough until you get your lunch around town. Ho Chi Minh is a night city, so do not expect to sleep before late at night... Good value.

Great value, great service in a top location”
Stayed here twice in Oct 2012, both times in a VIP room (702) facing the street. Location is great- right in the heart of the backpacker district, close to cheap bars and restaurants and roughly a $2/3 taxi ride from most of the key sites. Despite the hub bub of the street, noise wasn't an issue for us - just added to the atmosphere. Room was very spacious and well kept with 2 x Queen beds and 1 x single bed on offer. Bathroom was fine also, minibar prices quite reasonable and nice cool air-con which were both much appreciated after a busy day walking in the heat. Good choices available for the free breakfast- everything we tried was great. The Pho was delicious. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - they even let us store our bags there after we checked out so we could have a wander around the city before our flight. They also offered us the option of having a shower when we got back. Brilliant. We paid were pleased with the choice - good value compared with other hotels we stayed at during our trip. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying here next time we're back in HCM.

Excellent location but noisy”
Pros: 1. Hotel location is excellent with many attractions nearby. Remember to use Grab or Uber during your stay in Saigon, it's so convenient. 2. Delicious breakfast, everyone can choose one kind of main course. Meraki offers wide range of bread and beverage. Plus, having breakfast on the terrace is fantastic. 3. Extremely friendly staff, happy to assist. Cons: 1. Due to located in bar street so sleeping at night is NOT so easy. Customers who booked Meraki are supposed to take ear plugs. 2. Facilities are bit outdated, need to be improved. Overall, my stay at Meraki was oaky. You pay for what you get!

Great room, nice staff and value for money”
The staff are nice and helpful, the room is nice with nice private bathroom, it's about 15 minutes walking distance from Ben Thanh Market and around half and hour walking distance from attraction places in Ho Chi Minh. Would definitely recommend to others.

Smiling serive, great place to stay”
Great location with many useful services surrounded, a good depart to somewhere interesting. This is a right choice. We recently stayed at this lovely hotel and found it to be an excellent place to stay. We booked in one Standard room. The staff there is very accommodating to arrange my room with a king bed. It is very comfortable. I love it. Room is very clean, tidy and full facilities; good air con, flat screen TIVI with international channels. I also found that it is very convenient with the personal safe box placed in the closet; free WIFI is very good and reliable. Very clean bath room is small but completely adequate, they also provide a set of toothpaste, shampoo, soap…hair dryer, clean and fresh towels; extra more pillow upon my request. The staff were very polite and attentive, some of them can speak English well, others may need time to improve, but all of them always try their best to cater to our every need. We also booked 2 tours through the hotel, the Mekong delta and the day cu chi tunnels. This was FAR cheaper than booking at home. They also gave us a store free to leave our heavy luggage, while we were traveling to Mekong. Appreciated their great efforts. Will come back for our next visit.

Highly recommended”
Had a really pleasant stay at Bizu hotel. Was there for 5 nights and room service was really prompt. Located on Bui Vien Street (where all the pubs are) but at the quieter end :) If you're hungry at night, there's loads of food right at your doorstep :D We had our scooter with us and there's a security right below that will help you with it. Room and toilet was clean ^^ Staff were friendly and spoke good english. Will definitely come back and stay again!
