Average Hotel”

I stay for 3 night at this hotel, as solo traveller. Saigon Mekong Hotel located at very heart of city of HCM. It mean, it walkable to all major attraction, eg museum, morning market, and facing garden. It also near to convenient store, and less than 1km to nearest halal outlet. Room are relatively clean and tidy, bed are good and have good pillow. Anyway, my room smell cockroach.. I also found some died coachroch in the toilet. Hotel management might wanted to tacle this issues. My room dont have mini bar or hot shower. Perhaps hotel owner should provide hot water, as their customer are mostly backpacker whose eat junkfood and ramen. Overall, for price i'm paying, it worth it.

Great location... value for money”

We are a group of 3 guys travelling. A tour agency by the same company fronts the hotel check-in counter. Hotel is location is 12 minutes walk to Benh Thanh Market and is next Street to Bui Vien. We have the city view that gives a good view of the park. (At the park is a small shopping center which has a food court at the basement). There is an elevator which helps if you have heavy luggage. Does not have to wait too long for the hot water for shower. Love the comfortable beds. Best beds you can find for the price. Some noise from the nearby pubs and bus honking. Cable TV and a Challenging Wifi (if you want to get anything done, hit the coffeeshops nearby). Some staffs are courteous and helpful, others are not. Female visitor is strictly not allowed in the room, not even for a minute. Great location, comfortable beds is the reason we extended our stay.

Excellent value”

This place is a Gem, location is great with walking street 1 block away lined with bars and restaurants, lots of street food vendors right outside the door, a park and shopping mall right across the street with a huge food court and a convenience store right next door. It is a little noisy in the evenings with the bars and their music. Beds are comfortable and the AC blows cold, bathroom isn’t the cleanest but definitely not the worst I’ve seen, I would definitely stay here again for $14 a night but HCM really isn’t my cup of tea with 100% humidity and constant honking of motorcycle horns, crossing the street here is a real crap shoot, best way is to cling onto a local and follow him step by step without even looking at traffic, let him do the looking.

Hotel staff is helpful. Decent English. Clean rooms. But the location could get noisy right through early morning hours, especially when the Vietnam national team wins any international matches. Revelers would celebrate by riding around Pham Ngu Lau with horns blaring till early morning. Breakfast is just simple bread, margarine, 2 eggs and fruits.

It really is a perfect location. Just the cleanliness issue. The floor looks dirty. Also there are black spots in the bathroom. They have daily room service which is great. Perfect wifi. When the other person from the next room smokes, I can smell it from my room. Its an issue to me because I am not a smoker. I already had 4 hotels and I think this is ok.

remember to ask if the food inside your room is free”

the restroom door does not close, plenty of black stains everywhere, the bidet holder is broken. I booked via agoda with đ756k but on their written reference, its đ765k. the rest of the room is very good. but the food inside your room is not free.

Better than expected”

Room fairly small but generous-sized en suite. Much quieter than expected considering its location

Gives you everything you need (except wifi) at a cheap price ”

For less than 20 dollars you get a large double room n breakfast for two. Everything needed is there from breakfast (basic) towels room sandals toiletries. Cons: very basic. Water doesnt drain properly. Toiletries unknown doubtful looking so used my own. Water pressure extremely low. wifi doesnt work. Their printed pw is unusable one day and replied as wrong another day. When i ask them if they sold sim cards just basic internet for week or less, guy took out one and asked for 20 dollars. I said no thank you n he refused to speak to me thereafer whenever he saw me lol. Not going back for sure though the mirning receptionist n other tour desk guy are friendly. Evening receptionist n other guy seems related and both ignored me or showed black face when i ask for room key after going out ( ancuent key on large key shaped plaque.)

No window, no breakfast, very basic ”

Nothing really good about it, just location is right where you want it. Futa bus around the corner, nightlife and food just outside. Room not very clean

They lock the doors at midnight ”

It’s not so convenient, they lock the doors at midnight, visitors always need 24h hotels, I stayed around this area because I need to come back late a little bit ( it is just around after midnight) usually people come back around 2 or 3 am.

Above average”

Staff was unfriendly and unwelcome. Room had no fridge, no window and no space for baggage. Air conditioning was shut off by staff when we left the room. When we got back to the room , turned the air on and it was not working. We struggled with the air remove control for awhile. Finally, we realized the air was shut off from the main power by staff. That made no sense for them to shut off the air power when the room was rent.

The room we had was quite reasonable as was the bathroom but the breakfast was one choice and simple, not good. Location was good close to markets

breakfast is included but just a bare croissant with bullseye, but the lady is friendly. room simple and things work. near night scene though i didn't patronize them.

Booked a twin room got a tiny room,half of the size ,not as described on Agoda , stinky bathroom next to the bed with non working sliding glass door , no fridge, massage girls bringing customers all night long for short stays

Worst hotel i ever stayed ”

The staff was very rude. They don't know how to treat customers. Even if you book room for 2 people, only one peple can stay. And they ask you to book another room again.They said that is their hotel policy. Beware of this guys. Total scam. Hotel was bad smelling and beware of bugs. Noone wants bug to carry with them when they stay there.
