Great place for a stay in Chiang Rai”

My husband and I stayed here while visiting Chiang Rai. The hotel was about a 10-15 minute drive from the airport. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The receptionist spoke English and were able to communicate with us for any of our needs during our stay. The hotel has a free shuttle each night to the Night Bazaar which was great! We also rented a scooter from a company that was advertised at the front desk, and the staff at the resort made sure the booking went smoothly for us. They all work very hard! The room was very clean. Nothing fancy or big, however we did not expect that when booking, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We didn’t use the pool, but it did look very nice and well maintained. The free breakfast was great as well. They did have some of the same dishes each day, but there was plenty of food to choose from, and we were quite happy! We would definitely recommend this hotel to people travelling to Chiang Rai :)

Stylish, homie and comfortable resort ”

After a poor night's stay at another "resort" north in the Golden Triangle, we were pleasantly surprised with Maryo. The layout of the resort flowed very well, with an open air restaurant, infinity-style pool and paths leading to different units. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, just what we needed! The pool was very nicely designed, with what we believe was saltwater as opposed to chlorine -- a first for us, and quite preferable! We had dinner at the resort restaurant. Can't remember what it was now after all the places we've been, but I do remember ordering a pasta and a Thai dish, both of which were flavored well and were appropriately priced. We were happy to get a tasty non-Thai dish, since it's smartest to stick with thai food at most restaurants in Thailand. Lastly, the complimentary breakfast was very elaborate and delicious, from fresh fruit to stir-fry and other yummy treats. Thanks!

A True Gem!”

This is one of those situations where you're not sure you want to give Maryo the review it deserves because you're afraid it will be full the next time you want to visit. The hotel was beautiful, clean, and chic. The staff was gracious and helpful. The slightly lower rating on location is due to the fact that you really have to have a ride to get to the center of town. However the hotel runs a shuttle on the hour and it is nice to be away from the noise of the Night Bazaar. The only criticism I might offer is the food. It is not great. However there are a multitude of inexpensive places to eat surrounding the hotel, from street vendors to sit-down restaurants, so it is not a factor unless you consider the very slight inconvenience.

Quiet oasis near Chiang Rai city”

This resort is located in the vicinity of Chiang Rai city but you need transport to go to the Night Market (free shuttle provided). I stayed here for 5 nights and received a free upgrade to a Deluxe Room. Rooms are spacious with a nice balcony. Supercomfy bed. I enjoyed my stay here and would like to leave an extra big thank you to Gee from reception. Will surely stay with you again when i return to Chiang Mai!

Excellent facilities, lovely staff”

This was a good choice for Chiang Rai, other than it is a little far from the centre (not walking distance, really). The rooms are very bright and spacious (though the weird window arrangement between the bathroom and bedroom is a little disconcerting. The hotel will arrange a wide variety of trips and drivers at reasonable rates, the breakfast buffet is excellent (we would have loved to try the dinner buffet others have praised but the chef was away die to a family bereavement; we went to the Cafe de Mow four minutes' walk away where I had one of the best burgers I ever tasted). The owner is a charming, friendly and extraordinarily helpful person, cannot praise her highly enough. The accommodation is a little more expensive than others but the pool looks amazing (not our cup of tea) and the property is modern and clean. Well recommended.

Nice place to stay in Chiang Rai”

We enjoyed our stay in Maryo Resort. Nice clean rooms, rather small and without wardrobe. we used swimming pool after our tracking tours, which was really great. Breakfast was quite ok, but nothing special. Highlight was the shuttle service, which you could use each evening to reach the market place.

A great place to stay in Chiang Rai”

During our trip to Northern Thailand we stayed one night at the MaryoResort in Chiang Mai. The stuff was very helpful, the room was very nice and cleane. The hotel is located a shorty walk from the main walking sreet and the night market. We also had dinner at the hotel and enjoed it very muc. We highly recommend this place to people visiting Chiang Rai.

Excellent value for money”

This was the best hotel we had during our 3 week trip to Thailand. It is a resort style hotel with 3 houses in a tastefully designed small garden with pool. The rooms are spacious, bright, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good and plenty. The staff well trained, extremely polite and utterly helpful. The pool is clean and had a nice temperature even in february. Everything seemed to be inspired by the spirit of the owner, an elderly lady with a very good command of English and a friendly personality. The hotel is in a calm and quite neighborhood which is a little far from the center, but they run shuttle buses, especially at night time but also during the day. It's in walking distance to the center though. It took us 20 minutes to walk to the Clock tower. They organised a private tour with a nice driver who drove very safely. Taxi to the airport was also organised, though a little expensive. Despite the calm setting it can get a little noisy du to the constructio

Modern clean rooms and great staff!”

I stayed at Maryo Resort for two nights with my wife and parents in law. The rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was very helpful and we had a great stay.

Truly delightful”

This resort was perfect for us. The rooms were spacious with a large comfortable bed, a great shower along with free water and snacks. The resort was set within a lush green garden which was always well maintained. The pool and pool area was always clean, the breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot and cold dishes and the staff tried to accommodate our every need. They had a minivan that could shuttle you into town and bring you back at allotted times. More importantly, the staff were exceptional; it made our stay in Chiang Mai even more enjoyable!

Pleasant resort in Chiang Rai”

Enjoyed our stay at Maryo, good value for money, but slightly far from the night markets and things in Chiang Rai. very reasonably priced food and drink as compared to another nearby 4* resort.

Exceptional”

This is our second time staying with maryo and everything is still perfect. The staff is super nice and friendly. Breakfast is still excellent, the room is still spotless. Overall everything was amazing like the first time we came here.

Motel in a storm”

We booked Maryo at short notice during a trip round northern Thailand. It was fine if a bit soulless. The rooms were basic but spotless and comfortable. The pool would be a big plus for many but it was rainy season when we were there, and then some, so we never went near it. Full marks for the breakfast buffet, though - lots of choice. Location is only so-so, a bit far from the action.

Nice hotel but not really worth the money”

Nice hotel with ok pool, however not really worth the money, think there are better places available in Chiang Rai. Staff was not really friendly/ smart.. booked a double room via Agoda, when we arrived they asked us if two separate single beds were ok as well, because she selected this room. We answered no, because we are a couple. Then she asked us if it was ok to just put those single beds together.. no, we booked a double bed because we wanted a double bed.. strange situation, because there where a lot of rooms available.. just a lazy reaction. Breakfast was good!!

Excellent”

Enjoyed our stay at Maryo. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated as were the grounds. The breakfast was delicious with many options.

Good hotel in city center”

Good hotelin resort style in the middle of Chiangrai city. Free shuttle to night market. Nice staff.

Cheap and nice little resort for a family or group who rent a car”

The room of the resort is very nice. It is big, clean, and well equipped. Free wifi are fast. Staff service was excellent, response to request very fast. However, the location of the resort is one big downside. It quite far from main street and the entrance is dark and small. If you have a car, it's fine, but if not, I would avoid. The swimming pool is much smaller than the photo. The photo was taken with a ultra wide-angle lens, so it looks big. The included breakfast was just so-so, it wasn't good it wasn't bad. I would recommend this resort for a family or group traveller with their own car. If you come alone, find other place.

Clean and great customer service”

Cozy resort with good location. Resort also provide free shuttle service to the night bazar. Very clean room and Super friendly staff! Will visit the resort again.

Gorgeous resort with great pool”

Be aware of additional charges for extra bed and extra meal charge when booking for more than 2 people (even if you have booked for 3). Other than these surprises, this resort is impeccably clean with a beautiful pool. Very nice buffet breakfast, nearly same every day. Away from city centre but shuttle runs many times per day. Some good restaurants and 7-11 a short walk from hotel.
