Great Hotel In A Great Location”

We loved Marina Villas so much we ended up reducing our stay at another hotel so that we could return to Marina Villa's! The resort looks and feels very new. There are 2 big pools, one overlooking the beach and another one a little further back with a waterfall attached to it, both were clean all the time and there is more than enough room for everyone. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and every room has a balcony or patio with seats and a table. Airconditioning worked very well. The bathroom is quite spacious and as with the room very clean. Staff were always friendly and the free Wi-Fi was great! Although breakfast is not included you can pick it up quite cheaply in the resorts restaurant which offered a pretty good selection of food at very very reasonable prices. We will definately be returning to Marina Villas on our next trip to Koh Samui!!

perfect value for money”

before booking a place i visited one by one all the resorts in Lamai Beach and Marina Villa was the best one for what i was looking for. If you need a place in a calm area (not too close to noisy pubs), two steps from the beach, clean and walking distance from everything without spending lot of money then this is the place you are looking for. i got a ground floor room, 20 meters from the pool and 40 from the sea, perfectly clean and with all i needed, bath amenities, fridge, television, wifi (8-10mb), water kettle with coffee, 2 bottles of water every day, safe box, plus the free access to the 2 swimming pools and sun beds on the beach. All this for 40euro per day for 2 people. it's possible also to rent a bike for 150baht per day, cheaper than all other places (but you need to show the driver licence). Lamai is the best place in Samui and this part of the beach is absolutely my fav one. i recommend to my friends to stay here and i'll stay here again next time too.

3star hotel with a 4 star location”

We're a retired Canadian 60ish couple stayed Nov 26 to Dec 6/15. This hotel is located on Lamia beach. According to locals the Lamai area is a mid range priced area on Koh Samui. We noticed some older reviews panned the condition of the hotel,and premises. Management has taken notice as we found the premises maintained and we had no complaints with our room, a/c or wifi accessibility. The hotel location provides direct beach access and is in the lamia resort area, for shops and eateries. The on site restaurant/ bar area seemed higher priced than many of the other choices to go to and that seems to be supported by our observation that neither place ever attracted many customers albeit we were there prior to high season. Front end and service staff were great, we had no complaints and would stay again.

Just what I am looking for”

I travel to Lamai Beach, Koh Samui twice a year and have done for the last five years. I have stayed in two other places in Lamai and the rest in the Marina Villa. So it is not hard to guess that I like this hotel, the staff are very friendly and the location is perfect for me. I have only two criticisms about the hotel, the first is the showers could be better (more powerful) and the food needs to be improved drastically. In all my time going to the Marina Villa, I have eaten there once and once is all it will ever be until they improve there standards.

Nice beach hotel with pool and good location”

The Marina Villa is a nice hotel for the price located on the beach in Koh Samui. The staff is friendly and helpful and motorbikes can be rented at the reception desk. The location is excellent and just a short 2-3 minute walk to the local pubs and restaurants. The room had a front porch area with a view of the pool. It was very pleasant to sit there in the early morning or late in the evening.

Good value hotel on the beach”

We stayed at the Marina Villa for only one night as we had arrived in Samui a day earlier than expected. We had another reservation booked at the Weekender Resort. We took one of the mini vans to get from the airport to the hotel. It cost 150 Baht per person for one of the shared vans versus 700 Baht for a taxi. The hotel is located on the beach and about a 5 minute walk to the center where the evening food stalls are. I found some of the best food I had in Samui from the food stalls at the night market. Most meals are about Baht. The hotel is quite basic but it’s priced quite a bit cheaper than the neighbouring hotels. The room I had was clean and simple with a nice balcony, a safe and free wifi. Breakfast is not included but it’s easy to find breakfast options nearby. Lamai Beach is much quieter than Chaweng but has just enough of everything that you would need for a peaceful holiday.

Right on the beach”

We had only one night here before heading to Koh Phangan, but it was lovely to wake up and head right to the beach, there are also to clean nice swimming pools if you'd rather stay off the beach. Room very clean. I would say the only negative was arriving latish and the reception was completely unmanned we had to go to the next door hotel and have them call the Marina Villa. There was a bell at the desk but apparently they were too far away to hear.

Lovely hotel in a fantastic area”

I had a fantastic time at Marina Villa and I'm planning to go back! I loved my big room and the fact that I was so close to the beach. Staff are lovely despite the language barrier. The hotel is well located, near all the shops, massage places and restaurants!

Right on Lamai Beach, value for money”

We got a very relaxing stay in Marina Villa. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Located right on the beach, along with 2 swimming pools so my kids enjoyed swimming a lot. Very convenient to enjoy foods at quite good restaurants around.

Love this accommoation as the beach is nearby and clean”

A lot of restaurants and some minimarkets nearby, but if you don't mind to walk a little bit far you can walk to Tesco and find cooked seafood at crazy price. Sea is very close to Marina Villa.

Great location, good good rooms and well kept”

the location and accommodation i would recommend but not client service at marina villas. we discovered the twin-bedded room with an extra single bed we had booked was not available. there was no apology, just the assumption we would have to accept this. we had specifically chosen marina villas because they could provide a twin room and extra bed. it was left to agoda to resolve the situation. we found that the staff overall at marina villa were not as friendly as we had been used to following our many visits to thailand. a new experience for our family.aside, from this, marina villas offers good value for money in a great beachside location and with pleasant well looked after grounds.

A comfortable stay”

I only stayed one night at Marina Villa, but would definitely return in the future. The rooms are clean and a good size, the pool is decent, and the location is great for exploring Lamai. Well worth the cost to stay here.

Great Location, Clean Rooms And Facilities.”

Hotel is located directly on the beach and close to everything you need in Lamai. Rooms were always clean and beds comfortable. We stayed on the third level and due to the way the hotel is built most rooms on the 2nd and third level should get a view of the beach. Rooms are also quite spacious and the hotel is relatively new (prob about 2-4 years). Pools were always clean and more than enough sun lounges around both pools however could do with more umbrellas on the beach. Restaurant at the resort is well priced, simple, but the food was quite good considering, good for a quick bite. Have stayed here previous to this and would definately return.

Beautiful resort with two pools and nice rooms”

The staff were very friendly, the food at the restaurant was of a high quality and very affordable, and the massage ladies on the beach were great! Highly recommended, which I'd stayed here for my entire time in Koh Samui!

I loved Marina Villa Hotel. Big spacious room,very clean and comfortable. 2 swimming pools and the beach 2 metres away! Staff was helpful despite the language barrier.

Good location on the beach / town ”

we only stayed 3 nights . this place is right on the beach and behind the main road , being a great location in lamai . we got a deal through agoda so the pricing was also good . all of our dealings with the staff were friendly and courteous . our room was on the third floor ( top ) , it had a bit of a view and a nice breeze . there are two pools , one is good for laps and kids and the second pool is good for kids and lazing around . no problems here and i would recommend this place if the pricing was good .

Great Location Hotel”

This hotel is conveniently located at Lamai Town. You can reach up to a lot of restaurants by walking distance and there are quite a lot of nice restaurant selling seafood! Night markets are just along the street. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable bed but come with a very old TV set. Overall great stay and staffs are friendly and helpful too! But be warn, don't choose high floor as there is no elevator.

we stayed in marina villa for a couple of nights at the tail end of our holiday. we found the hotel to be clean and the rooms big enough with good facility's. pool area was nice getting sun right up till the end of the day. distance to the nightlife was just a short walk and there was a good selection of restuarants and bars in the immediate area. over all a short but nice stay..

Fabulous - Right on the beach”

Wonderful! It was a complete package. I booked for two nights and ended up staying for seven. I almost didn't need to leave the property. I had breakfast in the outdoor cafe, got a two hour massage every day in the sala, swam in one of two pools and lounged in the soft chairs by the ocean. The hotel next door had candle-light on the beach dining. Lamai town has almost whatever you want - lots of massage parlors, many international restaurants, gift shops everywhere, bars and night life. I will return. I give it a 10 out of 10.
