My stay here was to meet up with hoteliers and people who run business around for accounts and taxation purposes. Overall is 9/10 just that if they could improve the pillow quality then I would give 10. Please do note that the tv channels are limited but I am okay because I am not an avid viewer. They have hot shower but I prefer cold one because it is refreshing, the water came straight from mountains. My room with no breakfast or dinner but there are plenty shops there selling food at cheap prices.

Kampung Genting (Genting village) where Marina Bay Resort is located is a quiet old-style village. There are no roads and it is quite small. That is its beauty. Marina Bay is run by a lovely family with nice staff. The simplicity of the rooms and the quiet location are its charms, as is its superb position the beach. Some reviews say that Tekek is one of the better beaches, but having been to both, Genting is by far much nicer. The family at Marina Resort were more than happy to help me with all the things i wanted to do. I recommend this resort if you are looking for a place to get away from it all. Peaceful - a place to recharge.

The room come with mini fridge and mineral water, aircon, hotshower and tv. Walking distance from all eatery, jetty or they can provide motor-shuttle if needed. Recommended 👍👍

Traditional Kampung Kinda Room”
The room was enough for the both of us. The toilet was clean and everything. However, you need to hike a little, like a 2-3 min hike, but when it's night, it's a bit too dark and the area is bit dead at night. but you can definitely enjoy a trip with your partner here. ;)

One of about 25 huts, built up the hill from the beach. Just 2 minutes from the beach & an easy 5-6 mins walk from the main jetty (located in Genting the 1st stopping point for the ferry). Hence excellent location & they have functioning air-con' - BUT! They have lacked any maintenance for a very long time, there was no running water when I was there (apparently it's only for the 2 months of the dry season) & cleaning was not their strong-point. Perfectly fine if you're paying $5-10 backpacker rates.

The owner is a friendly and accommodating person. Will try to help but choices are limited. WiFi is non existence . Generally everywhere internet is slow even with personal data. Don't expect much in Kg Genting. Sandflies and mosquitoes are a nuisance. Can be expected at rain forest areas and sand beaches.

First of all Tioman Genting village, had electricity power cut issue(only 4 hr power available in day time) and the resort owner hardly bothered about the guests and they never inform anything. No current/electricity, hence no light, fan or AC through out the night stay.. The Resort has generator but they used it for one house of people who maintains/owns the property, horrible experience.. Better don't stay in Tioman at night time untill power issues are resolved..

Marine Bay was brilliant for me and my two teenage children, with basic, clean accommodation. Genting has a fantastic, chilled atmosphere - but a word of warning - cards are not accepted outside the dive shops and one restaurant we found, and there is no ATM in Genting, so you will need cash for your entire stay. We didn’t bring enough but the proprietor was a star and helped us out without charge. Highly recommend.

Good but no WIFI”
We enjoy living in this hotel very much. Nice view, good position, clean room and friendly staff. Facilities are basic, no WIFI. In general, it is worth its value. The defect of this place is that it has some mosquitoes in our room at night so we have to burn mosquito repellent incense throughout the night. You still owe me the breakfast of the last day dude~

A fantastic hotel to stay in tranquility and peace. Awesome view of ocean, Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Near the jetty. Ideal for family. The breakfast every morning is very good. I love to come back again.
