We enjoyed our stay at Mandarin! Since we were just on vacation and revisiting Cebu after 15 long years, staying at Mandarin Plaza was a perfect choice as it was located in the center of developments(short walking distance to Ayala Mall) and old tourist spots (Colon St., Church of Sto Nino, Magellan Cross, Taoist Temple etc.)Breakfast is a plenty and offers various appetizing menu. Though i found the swimming pool not too attractive and i can't understand why they do not supply conditioners with their shampoo. But these are small things (negligible) compared to great advantages above mentioned. I will go back to Mandarin Plaza again should i visit Cebu City again unless i wanted a resort type of hotel for a vacation!

Fantastic for the price”
I checked in here when my usual hotel in Cebu, Quest, was fully booked. So I will make this review a bit of Mandarin Plaza a comparison with the aforementioned as they are right next to each other. I booked the second category room up at Mandarin, with the big bed, it was still cheaper than the standard room at Quest. I had never booked here before because I had just assumed it wouldn't be good because of the low price - I was wrong! The room itself was much nicer than the rooms at Quest. Considering breakfast is included in the price the value is fantastic. Unfortunately the breakfast buffet itself isn't in the same league as Quest's but hey it was included and you have to pay 500 pesos or so extra at Quest. Location wise it is a stone's throw from Quest, which is right by the Ayala Centre mall - so ideal. I didn't get to see the pool area but I imagine it wouldn't be up there with Quest as that is one of my favourite things about Quest - along with their buffets. The other area which is not as nice as Quest is the lobby. The Quest lobby is a fantastic place to lounge and meet with people. I had no issues with the wifi at Mandarin whereas I often had to go down to the lobby for the wifi to be strong enough at Quest.

Superb!”
I booked three rooms for two nights to accommodate my group (parents and siblings). We got it at affordable rates in spite being at the city center and a class hotel. I have nothing negative to say about Mandarin Plaza Hotel. It exceeded my expectations. Even my parents were glad that we booked the right hotel from the many choices in Cebu City. Staff were friendly and courteous. Facilities were more than enough. Rooms were spacious and clean. SUPERB! Keep it up.

Excellent location and Big Room”
Our room was spacious and clean. I love that we had a room from the 23rd floor. This is value for money if you're staying in Cebu City. Ayala Mall is across the road. We even have buffet breakfast though selections are limited, but for the price, I can't complain. I only booked this because Montebello Villa cancelled my reservation the last minute and I'm very glad they did as Mandarin was way cheaper. My partner and I had a very tiring commute from Moalboal and we slept like a log in Mandarin. Will recommend this to my friends and family who will visit Cebu City next month. The only con I can think of is there is no bidet in the bathroom. Other than that, everything's excellent. For the price I paid, I didn't expect to have a bathtub. We ordered food from room service when we arrived and it was tasty.

This hotel is located in walking distance from Ayala mall. This recently built hotel has spotless clean room and toilet with properly working air-conditioner. I stayed Quest hotel last year. The lobby and breakfast restaurant of Quest seem more luxurious than those of Mandarin plaza. However, except those, room condition of Mandarin Plaza is much better than Quest. I will recommend the hotel to everyone who plans to stay in Cebu city.

Mandarin Plaza Hotel was our wonderful home away from home for six days and we all loved it.Location is accessible to almost all places you would want to visit while in cebu.Hotel staff were courteous and nice (emmanuel,Lara , the guy from ozamis city forgot to get his name, the security guards).The free breakfast was the best! Great Place To Stay”
On my first impression of the room was wow...it was a great size, very spacious. Staff were always friendly and helpful, especially when i asked for a TV remote control, as the rooms only come with a cable TV remote and i wanted to play media from my personal hard drive. Buffet breakfast was good, plenty of choices, both western and Asian cuisine available...the only negative i found was the bacon...not everyone likes crispy bacon. Location is great, a short walk to Ayala Mall and the must try House of Lechon (it was so good i went back 2 nights in a row) Pool was good, gym was a little hard to find (not that i used it) Overall i enjoyed my stay at the Mandarin Plaza Hotel and when i visit Cebu again, i wont hesitate booking here again.

amazing hotel in Cebu”
It is very nice to experience to stay in Mandarin. I was wondering because I stayed 5 years in Cebu long time ago. However, I never heard the Hotel name. Because this hotel is new a few years ago. the location near to Ayala mall in Cebu. Just it takes time to walk only 5 minutes. All main city of Cebu can reach low fare by taxi. However, free breakfast meal is a few meal only. Taste is fine. I compared with Mariotte Hotel beside Mandarin. It can compare with exclusive hotel such as Matiotte. I strongly recomend this hotel for your travel in Cebu.

Weekend Sweet Escape”
We enjoyed our stay at the Mandarin Plaza Hotel. Good quality of customer service. Very attentive staffs. Cool amenities and facilities particulatr the infinity pool and sauna. Sumptuous buffet breakfast. Close to Ayala Mall Cebu (3-5 minutes walk). Not-so-so internet connection in our room. Above all, worth it! We will defintely recommend this hotel to our friends and we will be going back soon here.

Our 4d/3n stay”
Our stay was great! Their breakfast buffet is so delicious! The hotel is near Ayala Center Cebu, so grocery, restaurants and shops are near. Comparing to other hotels we have stayed in Boracay, Angeles ang Tagbilaran, they are almost the same price but Mandarin Plaza Hotel is way better in everything! Good wifi, lcd tv, cable, tub, pool, good a/c, good bed and sheets and good hot water. Cebu is so big so wherever you stay, you will be far from something. This hotel is far from the airport, cebu city historical landmarks and port. But we didnt mind it much. Some negatives like staff are not much assistive, like what ive read from some reviews, no bidet, no doorbell, and they only cleaned our room once in our 3night stay even if we turned on the make-up room light. Overall, we really liked this hotel and if we have a chance to go back to cebu again, this hotel would be our 1st choice. 👍🏼

I've been reading a lot about Mandarin from Agoda since I've been coming to Cebu for countless times this year. i got curious because of the reviews, and finally decided to see for myself why the "complaints". Fortunately, the hotel exceeded all my expectations. The lobby's almost grandiose. The room's spacious and tastefully designed, comfortable huge bed, big clean toilets, top class interiors, a room overlooking the pool area of Quest Hotel from across (which I've visited last June). Breakfast is served buffet and part of the booking, and though not exactly a feast, isn't spare either. The personnel are all nice, check in and check out brisk and fancy free. Ayala mall is just across the road, and so is the public terminal for jeeps. There's a taxi bay right in front of the hotel so it's easy to get transport at any time of the day. My only complaint? A housekeeping staff wanted to get the "ionizer" in the room while I was inside. After knocking and not getting an immediate reply, she just barges in. Good thing I had the door bolted. Pool is smallish but adequate. After all, I wasn't there for a swim. This place is truly almost perfect; I would come back here if I wasn't bent on "discovering" other hotels in the area.

Much better than some 4 stars of Cebu”
My wife is originally from the province of Cebu,2 hours from Cebu city.We stayed in few hotels in Cebu and decided to try the Mandarin Plaza.I was very surpirse with the amazing quality of service.No time to get out of the car staff is already here to take care of the bags,check in process very smooth,bags immediatly send to the room.Rooms verys clean and confortable size.Breakfeast very good and offers quite a good choice.Upon check out we asked for our bags to be weighted before going to airport,nothing seemms to be a challenge for the staff.Staff is really well trained.I stayed in 4stars in Cebu and this hotel service is over those hotels.I definetly recommand you to stay there.

Nice Hotel”
I really enjoyed staying in Mandarin Plaza Hotel Cebu , the staff are nice ,very approachable , always smiling , costumer service was excellent! Special mention to the room attendant "WENREN" at the front desk staff "AR" im not sure if thats his name i forgot,but they are good staff ,, i will surely comeback in this hotel....and one thing please provide laundry service because you have very disappointed but overall this hotel was GOOD.

Great price and location”
The Mandarin hotel is great value.The room price is very good for the size of room and location of the hotel. The hotel is located just minutes by foot from Ayala center packed with stores, money exchanges and restaurants. There are also local restaurants nearby to eat also. The breakfast buffet doesn't have a big selection but the food is tasty and all the basics you could expect. The staff at the hotel is friendly and internet was blazing fast but it worked.Its hard to find a hotel in this price range that is better in Cebu. I use to stay at Quest hotel across the street but the Mandarin Plaza is better deal.

A great stay at the Mandarin Plaza Hotel!”
This was an excellent stay at a hotel for me. The hotel itself felt brand new, and the room was clean, smelled fine (non-smoking, and no moldy smells) and everything was functional. Four elevators, so not a long wait. It was not a large room but certainly big enough for a couple (one large double bed). I stayed in a room with a shower only, and it was just fine. The tiles were a bit slippery and dangerous when wet, but a rubber mat was provided. The staff was excellent: friendly, fast and helpful. I had to re-charge my key card three times (my fault), and they did it quickly with no hassle. There were always at least three staffers there at the counter at all times, so no long waits at all (I didn't take that for granted). Other reviews complained about the staff, but they always smiled and fixed all problems. I booked for a second night on Agoda.com, and I could stay in the same room. I cannot comment about the facilities, I didn't use the pool or fitness room. The breakfast was fine; not spectacular (no omlette station) but good enough and the staff was there to clear tables fast (it was busy but there were plenty of tables available). Location was great, less than a five minute walk to the Ayala shopping mall (mall closes at 9pm but the restaurants stay open longer). Overall, this hotel feels like a 4-star hotel and was well worth the money! I would definitely stay at the Mandarin Plaza again.

Very affordable price for a 5 star amenities”
We had a very nice and pleasant stay at Mandarin Plaza, staff are very friendly and courteous and accommodating. Price is very affordable with 5 star amenities. Very near Ayala Center Cebu and IT Park. Huge and spacious room. I will definitely stay here again the next time I go to Cebu.
