My family and I stayed 1 night at the Magazine Vista Hotel. Good location within the heritage area. For food lovers, checkout the delicious hawker food at Presgrave and Cecil market. Very comfortable room, just nice for the 7 of us. Room is clean and tidy. Even provided spacious wardrobe. The staff is friendly and helpful. On a whole, we were very pleased with the stay and we will definitely stay here again for our next visit.

Suggestion: for check in + check out my opinion, PHC should provide awaiting hall at ground floor... so we can waiting ur staff there... then the hall need to have pass word (waiting room pssword) like ur room hotel... so for ur guest who have baby or child / can seat at the hall..not need to stand infront door hotel.. until ur staff come... password ur can be provide once ur guest comfirmed their booking via email...

Good location and very clean, but not friendly for driver due to no parking”

We are total 8 adults, 1 infant & 1 child. They have provide extra pillow, the sofa can become a extra bed. Hotel is very clean and new, our family members and children are enjoying so much there. But, very not convenient for those who drive, you need to looking for your own parking around that area. Then, this hotel is having very good location, Komtar Penang just opposite of the hotel, distance walking around 2 minutes. They are having a lot of local food store, by walking distance too, very convenient for those traveller who did not drive car. And last, some people might feel insecure due to the room just besides of the street, so must make sure the lock of the main door must be locked before go to the bedroom. Anyway, I still like this hotel so much.

Irresistible Stay”

The unit is spacious, with 2 bedrooms, 2 wash rooms, kitchenette with induction cooker, microwave, fridge. Cozy living room, 2 units of lcd tv. The unit is a rejuvenated old shophouse located just beside the main road of Magazine street. If you're travelling family with kids, this would be a better deal for you. The only setback to some, you'll need to find a nearby roadside parking spot or a private parking lot. It wasn't a big deal for me though.

Very Clean”

It has what it states on the website. Just that if you are unfit to climb 24 steps from the entrance to rooms, well this is not a place for you. Need to call the hotel and wait for him to come by to meet you and open the place for you, it is fine for such a deal. Many retail selections nearby ,there is the Gama supermart departmental store.

one of the best hotels”

the only downside - no parking space provided as guests need to search for parking along the street nearby. despite to that, the upsides counterbalance it in a very overwhelming way. a reclaimed of old shophouses turned into a modern hotel, you can definitely experience the true spirit of penang. not to forget, a very spacious unit, usable facilities such as washer and induction cooker, walkable to city center. definitely one of the best !

Nice environment and the value is worth. We like the environment and the staff is nice enough to us. We also like to thanks for the free upgrade for us and we can pass the night so wonderful, we will definitely recommended this hotel to our friends and family, and we will choose this hotel when we go penang again.

ALMOST PERFECT ACCOMODATION IN GEORGETOWN”

There are few things I have to say, why I say it is the perfect hotel for me: 1. 10/10 Cleanliness 2. Big space and big room for group trip/family trip 3. There are: 1 king size (Master Room), 2 queen size (Bedroom 1), 1 queen size & 1 single bed (Bedroom 2) 4. There also provide a dinning room and kitchen with full facilities (spoon, plate, pot, fork, etc.) 5. They even have washing machine!!! And the laundry detergent 6. And in kitchen, don't worry for the cook smell (if you cooked), there is an exhaust fan. 7. Middle refrigerator with enough space for you to stock some food 8. Two TV, one in master room, one in the living room. 9. 2 bathrooms with hair wash & body wash, towels are definitely enough for you, toothbrush etc also have, but just don't have showercap. 10. Hair dryer also provided, and is not the small size one, so you can dry your hair with no worries and save time. 11. Just the parking location, hotel and lobby is not at the same place a little bit troublesome...

Best value, best location and most suitable for family with young children”

We have stayed here for the second time as the location is strategic, smack right in the heart of Georgetown. Walking distance to some food haven and local delights. The place is clean spacious. The shower was good with good pressure and hot water. Very well equipped with utensils. Tastefully decorated and has an eye for little details. They have even renovated and improved the place further compared to our previous visit. Will definitely be staying here again and recommending to my friends

So happy to chance upon this new hotel that is in georgetown, very gd location and easy to get around to all the tourist places. Clean, comfortable, spacious and perfect for a group of 7 friends!

Clean & Convenience”

The hotel is clean with big spaces, is convenience to a lot of tourist places. walking distance to famous char kway teow and chendol at george town. Have a small supermarket near by the hotel. Staffs are friendly. Overall satisfied with their services and enjoyed our trip in Penang.

Good location but a bit noisy ”

The hotel has no reception. All you have to do is to inform them your arrival time and they will arrange a staff to come and do the check in for you. We arrived at around 5:30pm, but the room was not ready yet. The staircase leading to the room was stuck with something like pillows and blankets. The room was cleared after the check in staff arrived and asked the cleaning staff to clear off the stuffs in the staircase. If you have large luggage, you have to carry the luggages upstair on your own. The room is spacious with full amenities, like toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor and even washing machine with clothes drying function. The location is super good. It's right opposite to Komtar, and there is a super market nearby. Food stalls and night market are within walking distance. It is a bit noisy at night, which is a side effect of the superb location. The main problem we encountered was the clog of drainage in the shower rooms. It took us a long time to finish the showers.

overall satisfying stay except for some hiccups”

I will start what is good with the hotel first. it is very spacious and well-designed. I have only praise for the facilities and features in the room. I don't find the main bedroom too noisy, it is still ok even though it is facing the main road. what is bad about the hotel- rubber timing for check in and out. There is no early check in, so try not to come with luggage as u have to lug it around with u or grab to their main hotel to store your luggage. Check in was supposed to be 3pm and I have called to confirm that but staff appeared around at 3.15pm instead. U asked for late check out and was told the latest will be 12.30 but staff only appear at 1pm to check out and this is problematic if you are rushing for your flight.

Spacious property but need some improvement”

Pros: - near Komtar and many near restaurant to choose - washing machine was available - have sofa bed in living room Cons: - the door was directly face to public pedestrian. It would be safer if the hotel can add inside door so the guest will feel safer - there is only stair available, we find it difficult to bring up our luggage. It would be better if the hotel can provide "ramp" for the luggage to easily bring it up to second floor - Air conditioner too close to the bed It would be better to re-arrange the bed position

The apt is located strategically Infront of Gama / komtar. It is a brand new apt, spacious with two bedroom can fit up to 7 - 9 pax. Equipped with washing machine and dryer, washing detergent, basic kitchenware. Rooms and living area are big. Ab open parking space (next to Wembley) is provided, about 3mins to walk to the hotel. Walking distance like 5mins walk to Night hawkers stalls @ presgrave street or 10mins walk to new lane hawker stall @ Macalister road.

The room is very clean. Location at Georgetown is quite convenient. The room is spacious. But no lift have to climb the stairs, not so suitable for elderly and people with lots of luggages. There was a problem with the wifi and took almost 1 day to fix it.

The rooms were very clean, excellent setup & the hotel even provided toiletries. The hotel even provided a comfy sofa bed. Worth every dollar paid. Plenty of local food nearby and shopping centers just within walking distance. Plan to go back later this year with our relatives & kids.
