I had the pleasure of having dinner with Madam Cuc. I was introduced to her lovely family. They spoiled me while staying there. It's a place I highly recommend for the price your getting treated like a four star hotel. The staff will bend over backwards to make your stay very enjoyable in Ho Chi Minh City. The location is great. When ever I visit Ho Chi Minh City I always stay at Madam Cuc's. The staff will book tours and anything you need is all you have to do is ask. Wifi works great in the rooms.A great place to stay for the price.

Great family experience”

At first I was quite surprised to see that we were dropped off at Madam Cuc 168 when I booked specifically for Madam Cuc 127 hotel. Knowing that there are reviews about scams involving cab drivers dropping off clients to other hotels bearing almost the same name as the hotel they have booked for, this caused me a considerable level of alarm. But after a few inquiries, I was told Madam Cuc 168 is only an extension of the 127 hotel which is actually just right across the street. We had the best time in this hotel. Breakfast was included in the dirt cheap price, it was really close to Pham Ngu Lao Street which has a lot of great restos and it also offers tours around HCMC. The hotel staff are also very friendly though language could be a barrier. This hotel is not for travellers with knee problems. There is no lift and climbing up to the 4th floor could be challenging. It was way worth it in the end.

Clean, spacious hotel in central location”

We really enjoyed our stay at Madam Cuc 127 in Saigon, and chose it based on a recommendation in our Lonely Planet guidebook after feeling overwhelmed by all the accommodation options in the city. We found the price very reasonable and the location excellent--steps from a local market (Cho Thai Binh) with great street food, and walking distance to lots of other city highlights. The staff were very friendly and allowed us to check in early. Our room was clean and spacious with high ceilings and windows--a rarity in Vietnam for the budget traveller! The hotel also felt extra clean because guests leave their shoes on the ground floor by the staircase (note that there is no elevator). Breakfast consists of coffee/tea, bread, jam, eggs, and fruit, and is served on the ground floor by reception. Laundry service is also available--I think our big load came to around $6 USD. I would highly recommend staying at Madam Cuc's if you are on a budget and do not require frills such as soap, a hair dryer, etc. I would definitely stay there again if I ever get the chance to return to Saigon!

Good place for a night or two”

Stayed at Madam Cuc for one night and was overall satisfied. We were on the fourth floor and could here some street noise but not too bad for us. It isn't the best place we stayed in Ho Chi Minh but definitely not a bad place.

I have used Madame Cuc's 127 Hotel twice now and plan on using it at least two more times if not more this year. Great place to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Close to everything I need to travel around South East Asia.

Great Location”

I definitely like how they treated me as guest... They really care about us... They are helpful, kind, honest and even we are checked-out, they invited me to have dinner with the owner and introduced to other guest from other madam cuc branch.. it was great... Big room... I will recommend this... Just a few block away from saigon square and betham market

Friendly, centrally located and value for money”

We enjoyed our stay at Madame Cuc 127 Hotel. The location in the backpacker area is good for bars, restaurants and shops in the evenings. The other sights are all within walking distance. The staff were friendly and even put on food for the guests on new years eve which was really appreciated. The breakfast was good - bread, eggs cooked to order, fruit, jam and coffee. Our room was clean, a little on the small side (particularly the bathroom), but given it's a city hotel we weren't surprised. Overall a good hotel and we would recommend.

Great value”

4 nights in Sai Gon”

We arranged a couple of trips through Madam Cuc which were great. Staff were really helpful and went out of their way, rooms were big enough for our needs and in a good location. I'd happily stay again

Clean and basic accommodations ”

Madam Cuc 127 Hotel is in a great location for shopping and dining. The room was basic and very clean. There is no elevator so be prepared to use stairs. The breakfast is basic and they serve coffee all day.

Great Value, Good location with an elevator and natural light!”

It's one of the typical small hotels you will find in the neighborhood of Bui Vien area. With this in mind, it’s a great value guesthouse with natural light, an air conditioner, hot water, good Wifi, helpful staff and an elevator. A little walk from the busy Bui Vien area and a bit noisy at night but to be expected in this part of Ho Chi Minh and you still avoid most of the madness of Bui Vien.

I have used 127 Madam Cuc for six years. It is very clean and has a lift now.

The male receptionist, Tuấn, is great! ”

We paid a very low price for this room due to an Agoda online promotion for the end of the low season. We paid about 170,000 VND per night, so we stayed for 3 weeks. The hotel is clean and comfortable enough without any luxuries. The staff is helpful if you ask them, they are not overly friendly, but I don't mind about that. The exception is Tuấn, the male receptionist. Tuấn is very polite and friendly and was always very helpful with everything we needed. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We appreciated this very much. Because of Tuấn, we have given an excellent staff rating of 5/5 stars. The location is right in the touristic zone of Pham Ngu Lao. Overall, We recommend this simple hotel whenever the price is low.

A good option for Saigon”

We took a deluxe window room which was large, comfortable and spotless. The staff were very helpful and even though there was no lift were able to use an ingenious pulley system to deliver our bags to the room. it was an easy walk then to the second floor. We had the pleasure of meeting the delightful Madam Cuk who was a generous and gracious host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return on our next visit.

Madam Cuc 127 was full when we arrived HCM so they transferred us to another Madam Cuc hotel, was it 64. And our room was on the 8th floor (!) and we have to climbed he stairs everyday as there was no elevator. But otherwise the hotel was clean, our room was cleaned everyday. The staff are marvelous. love them.

Fulfilled our needs”

Stay was good and we were picked up at the airport as arranged despite it being a long wait for the driver. We wanted a simple easy introduction to this fast paced city and this is what we got. Staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly. Breakfasts were simple but most satisfactory. This is not a fancy elaborate hotel with a wide range of amenities but if you want simple, clean rooms and warm, welcoming, helpful staff at a reasonable price this is the place for you.
