I have traveled extensively and I can honestly say I have never experienced better value for money than I just have at Lotus Friendly Hotel, Koh Samui. The hotel is located literally right across the street from the quieter end of the amazing Chaweng beach - and it is only a ten minute walk right to the centre of all the action and shopping etc. . There is a 7/11 next door - and a great restaurant downstairs! Amazing convenience. The room, even if at double the price would represent great value. They are big and spacious with great storage space and a big fridge. Huge comfortable bed. Great air-con. You can have your room cleaned every day included in the price. The staff/management/owners are all top quality - so helpful and keen to assist you to make the most of your time there. Internet: Truly WORLD CLASS - I was getting 70 mbps down and 60 mbps up! Lightning fast! Overall: Honestly - 10/10! I have never said that before...

Great, affordable hotel”

My boyfriend and I booked the Lotus Hotel for 3 days then another 5 days after a short trip to Koh Phangan. We love this Hotel. It's perfect for the rates offered and location! Rooms: Beds were quite comfortable considering most beds in Asia are like sleeping on cardboard. We loved the fridges in the room so we could stock up on snacks and cold drinks from the local markets. This hotel is located on the main street into Chaweng. It's close enough to all the action but far enough away to have peace and quiet. Just across the street from the beach was perfect for our morning runs. We rented a scooter from the hotel and it was perfect for exploring the island and costs almost nothing to fuel. Breakfast was free every morning. I was craving whole wheat toast (as opposed to the white bread you find everywhere) and the staff went out to buy some for me. We didn't actually eat at the hotel restaurant (as we liked to hit up the markets and buy most of our own food) but from what I saw it looked great! There is minimal amenities; a pool table and wifi but who needs a swimming pool when the beautiful blue ocean lies just steps away. We prefer getting out and exploring the beaches and waterfalls on the Island so we spent very little time at the hotel anyway. We did love chilling out in the lobby while we waited for the evening to start. The staff are what made this hotel stand-out. The owners Ryan and his brother have picked a wonderful staff to assist. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We went out one night with Ryan and his friend and he showed us how they like party in their home country, Turkey.... Lots of dancing and making noise....we had so much fun! Ryan has great advice on what to see and do and how to avoid tourist traps. -Alex and Nadia from Canada

I stayed Lotus Hotel from 30th Dec to 3rd Jan. To go to Countdown party in Koh Phangan, I booked this hotel. Every time I see them, they smile to us and they always help us to enjoy Koh Samui. Lotus hotel is located on 10min walk from the centre. So you can enjoy nite life in koh samui whenever you want! Room is very clean and if you ask staff, you can change towel and sheats anytime. You can use Free Wifi at the reception. But we couldn't use Wifi in our room.

Friendly Staff and Comfortable - Clean Rooms”

Very friendly and professional staff at the hotel as well as in the restaurant, which has a wonderful location and excellent food. The Superior Room was big - one of the biggest I've ever stayed in Thailand.. The hotel location is at Chaweng beach north, which is convenient, since it is apart from the crowds. If you need to get to the center to the shopping and party zone, you can take a taxi and get there in 10 minutes. The hotel has very nice staff.They help you about anything you ask. The beach is just across the street. It is a perfect place to relax. Another good thing. The restaurant has Turkish Kebab which not so easy to find in Thailand.. When I get back to Samui; I'll definitely stay at Lotus Hotel again.

This hotel is a great value & one of the better ones walking distance to Chaweng beach. My dad, wife & I enjoyed our stay in a 3-bedroom room. Read below to find out why we loved our stay. ROOM SERVICE: Every day they made our beds, cleaned our floors, & stocked our room with toilet paper, shampoo & shower gel. Our sheets & comfortable bed mattress were brand new. We also got three bottles of water each day. A/C was cool and the room included a remote control, so that we could control the temperature & fan speed. The shower offers both hot & cold-water settings. LOCATION: The location was ideal for us as we could walk to the bars or beach, yet the location is situated in a calmer location to enjoy a good nights rest. If you want to travel further south, there are low-cost Songthaews (trucks with padded seats installed on the flatbed portion) that pass in front of the hotel. They are walking distance from the Samui International Hospital (where we got our vaccinations). STAFF: They were hospitable, efficient, and kind. AMENITIES: The vanity & armoire provided efficient storage space for our belongings. The fridge with freezer was great for holding beer & juice that we bought at the Family Mart next door. In the evenings there is a vendor who sells banana pancake right outside the Family Mart (try the cinnamon chocolate banana pancake if you have time). There is also a lady that sells fruit shakes close by. The wooden bench & table was nice to snack on. There was also a machine to heat up water, which was great because I like to have coffee or tea at dusk. BREAKFAST: We love starting out our morning with a hot cup of coffee, hard boiled or scrambled eggs, toast, & fresh fruit (pineapple, watermelon, banana). They also have more drink options, milk, cereal, & cookies. VALUE: This is where this place really shines. The two bedroom rooms are value priced, & the 3-4 bedroom with breakfast option are an amazing deal.

I would highly recommend this hotel, amazing value for money, I think it’s the best quality you can find on Samui for the price they offer. Super clean rooms, friendly staff and very helpful reception and the owner. There is an AC, hot shower, flat TV with many channels, fridge, kettle boiler, glasses, hair dryer, big mirror, beach towels, shampoos, shower gels and all the things you can possibly need. They clean rooms daily, change the towels and bring water. WiFi connection is strong and stable. The beach is just across the street, literally 1 min walking; 7/11 supermarket, agencies, motorbike rent , massage places, restaurants are all near the hotel. Even though the hotel is in the center it’s pretty quiet here so you can enjoy and have a good rest. I extended my stay here several times because I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and service here. I really enjoyed my time in Lotus hotel and I hope you will like it as much as I did:)

Quiet but near the main attraction. I've been staying there 5 times already”

It's just 3min from Chaweng on Motorbike (there is a cheap rental motorbike place opposite the hotel). And it's super quiet. Can sleep well at night without hearing people screaming or nightclubs beats. It's right opposite the beach with some nice restaurants. I live in Koh Phangan, so whenever I have to go to Bangkok or come back from Bangkok, I stay in Lotus for 1 or 2 nights. One of the best hotel for value / price / quietness.

Great location”

We booked Lotus Friendly hotel due to its location and good price. The location was great as it was was only a 10 minute walk from the town. The room was a nice size, bed was comfy. only negative is the bathroom, very strange layout and the shower is in front of the toilet and it just soaks everything. Also the aircon is in the corner of the room and not by the bed so we moved the bed around so we could stay cool. Apart from that I would stay again if in Koh Samui :)

Awesome inexpensive hotel ”

We stayed here for 2 nights. Loved the hotel! Large clean room with powerful AC, fridge, and other ammenities. Too bad they didn't have a safe. The hotel is 1 minute walk from the beach (get to the beach, then go left another minute for the cleanest and clearest water on the island !). Many good restaurants on the beach too. We didn't try the hotel restaurant because there were other options in the area. It's on a bit of a more quiet side of the beach, but nothing 5 minutes of walking can't fix. Laundry place right downstairs, and scooter rental across the street. The best hotel I've stayed in Thailand in 3 weeks, especially for the awesome price - koh samui seems to be an expensive island. That beach though ... !

Chose to stay in this hotel on our last day in Koh Samui.For the price we paid we received a great service . Staff is welcoming and friendly. They gave us helpful tips us about the island and offered us a welcome drink upon arrival. Room was big and spotlessly clean . The bed was very comfy. There is a 7/11 at the entrance of the hotel with several ATMs. The beach is less than a minute walk. Airport is 5 minutes drive. Overall it was a very good choice and highly recommended ! Great place not too expensive”

There are so many hotels in the chaweng area, all with their own charms, the lotus is one of them. We had a standard room which was big and beautiful with a balcony, great air con and hot water, free drinking water, all great... The staff are a mix of Thai and maybe Turkish? All with great English and really helpful with advice about tours. A good thing about this place is that you don't have to worry about room service banging on yr door at the crack of dawn to clean after you have had a few too many drinks the night before, if you want your room cleaned, you just go down and let them know when you go out, I like that. Breakfast is kind of weird but there is food to get you going for your day ahead no worries. Easy access to all you need, great place, great room for the right price!

Great staff, location, and facility overall ”

Booked my entire stay here in Lotus not knowing what to expect and was overall very happy I booked with them. The staff, Daniel, Kuhn and Tai (hopefully I got the spelling right) were more than helpful in booking my way back to Bangkok, directed me to night markets and all the things in the area to do, also with making sure my stay at the hotel was pleasant. Awesome team! The breakfast that was included also held me over throughout the day, sometimes making it so that I only had to buy myself dinner. The facilities were clean, the location was great, and again staff was overall amazing! Daniel also made sure I was up to catch my early flight! Overall, I definitely recommend this place. Thank you Lotus hotel, if I’m ever back in Koh Samui, I’ll be booking with you guys!

Good stay at Lotus Hotel”

We stayed at Lotus Hotel for 3 nights. During check in the guys at the reception were very friendly. It was our first time in Samui so we didnt know what to do. But thanks to the staff they gave us great tips what to see and what to do in Samui. The rooms were nice too. Our room was upgraded which made us really happy. Bed was very comfy and room was clean. Over all a nice stay and great value for money.

Best Hotel in Chaweng”

We booked a standard double room for two nights after the full moon party and extended for one night. When we arrived, all of the standard doubles were full so the staff upgraded us to a superior double free of charge! The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. Great value! Lots of restaurants nearby and a place to rent motorbikes and do laundry right across the street so location is great. Try to get a transfer from the boat as the taxis at the pier will try to charge you 1500baht for a drive to Chaweng! I really cannot say enough great things about the staff, they are truly amazing. The day before you checkout you can book a pickup and your ferry ticket at the front desk which is extremely convenient! Lotus Hotel is an absolute 10/10!

Value for money”

My stay at the Lotus hotel was an enjoyable experience and far exceeded what you could expect from a hotel in this price range. It has every thing you could need within a hundred yards of the front door. Friendly attentaive staff. A beach bar serving good quality food at reasonable prices in a setting to die for. And the breakfast in the hotel was delicious and filling. Will I stay in the Lotus again. That is a big yes.

👍👍👍Stayed 3 nights . Chose Lotus Hotel over many other choices due to its many positive feedbacks. We were not disappointed ! I made a special request for grd floor & front desk staff ,Daniel was extremely helpful , friendly and acetated to my request when we checked in. We had a triple room & it comes wth a king size & a single bed . Very huge room and had all essentials items-hair dryer, water boiler , room & beach towels , bottled water , shampoo , conditioner and a good size fridge too. There was also a aroma diffuser burner which was fantastic & I could use my own essential oils and diffuse . I could not sleep well on first night as the spring in the mattress of the King bed was worn out and slumped in made me very uncomfortable. I had a chat with the manager “Kun “ Turkish) and to my surprise, he asked the staffs to change the whole mattress for us . Wow ! That is we call service! Kudos to these guys ! We love this hotel & their great staffs !Highly recommended ! 👍👍👍

Exceptional”

Nice and quiet, yet close (walking distance) to everything noisy, including the beach. Nice BIG clean rooms. Extended our first night for 4 more days there. My first comment actually in 10 years time in Agoda living and traveling asia. Was ripped off in previous Samui hotel with worst treatment that I've seen anywhere in Asia (wrong room type, wrong bed etc) so Lotus diserves my thank you note :) Great place!

Friendly staff speaking fluent English.Good location, away from noise, only 8-10 minutes walk to the center and 1 minute walk to the beach. Good size rooms, large beds. Air condition, tv, fridge was good and the wifi was fast. Nice and also very helpful staff. Delicious and fresh breakfast. Generally my stay in Lotus Friendly Hotel was great!

Lovely owner, decent location and affordable rooms”

I was only here for 2 nights in Koh Samui and I was quite surprised by the decent sized room, AC in the room, bottles of water provided and towels. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. It's right next to a 7/11 and a few minutes walk to the beach and nightlife. The only downside is it can get quite noisy late at night so earplugs will have to be used!
