Great experience”

- We got an upgrade and stayed in an incredible apartment with a huge balcony that is above the sea at high tide and above a sand beach at low tide. The whole seaside of the apartment is windows with a perfect view of the ocean, a small island, and beautiful sunsets. We got take out dinners and ate on the apartment balcony to enjoy the beautiful view in this quiet environment. - The staff was very friendly. We also met the owner couple which were very nice and even invited us over for breakfast together with some of the kids that they are helping out, which was a very good experience (as was mentioned in other reviews here, the complex in which lost paradise resort resides also includes a school and children's hospital). - For Batu Feringghi scale, this is a small resort with a couple of 1-3 story tall buildings that sits right on the beach. This is a real plus; Batu Feringghi is full of ugly 20+ story tall mega-resorts, most of which are cut off from the beach by the busy highway as far as I can tell. Also, this resort is a bit outside of town, which I also consider a plus as Batu Feringghi is quite ugly. That said, Batu Feringghi is about 3' away by car, there are regular buses and taxis are cheap for US / European standards. - The resort is beautiful, with lots of amazing orchids. On our last morning, we followed the recommendation of one of the staff and paddled (with the complimentary hotel canoe) to a small uninhabited island ~1.4 miles out, where we checked out a small sand beach, the small lighthouse, and saw a big iguana - a perfect ending to a perfect stay.

Magnificent Lost Paradise Resort”

Room Quality, Staff Performance, Location

Our stay was absolutely magnificent! The only regret is that we only stayed one night! The location is quite good, just at the start of Batu Ferringhi after Tg. Bungah. The beach itself is not much of a beach, but this is not the fault of the resort of course. The quality of the room, its fittings and amenities are top notch! We took the Senja grand suite which comfortably accommodated five of us. We had our own outdoor balcony overlooking the sea, awesome view with the sound of waves reaching the room. The room itself is super spacious, with an outdoor bath area available in addition to the indoor bath. The pool was nice and warm, overlooking the sea as well. I am surprised that it is rate at 3 star only, Lost Paradise Resort should be a minimum of 4-star! Excellent for couples, families and groups too! Will definitely return.

Wonderful paradise”

Room with a view, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room

We had a wonderful stay at Lost Paradise. It is located next to the sea, and away from the main Batu Ferringhi crowd. We had a room with a view of the sea, beautiful. The staff at the resort were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was not your 5-star buffet, but it was decent. Anyway, with the gorgeous food in Penang, who wants to dine in the hotel anyway?! So to be fair, I must declare that we only had one breakfast in the resort. We will certainly stay there again the next time we visit Penang, and we recommend that you do.

Hiddem Gem. Back to Nature as if I'm in Bali”

Balinese and Minangkabau design, staff's hospitality and location

My stay in Lost Paradise was a bomb. I've never access to the sea in such a near distance. The resort is still considered as a new establishment as I heard from the lady boss telling that this resort opened 2 years ago. Upon check-in, I paid for a Superior Room but were upgraded to a 2-double bed room. The design of the hotel is my cup of tea as it represents Bali through it's Balinese door, designs, set-ups and a lot more. There are a beautiful infinity swimming pool, which is quite narrow and small in my opinion but a jacuzzi is available next to it. This resort is suitable for groups, families with children, solo travellers, couples, etc. Though beach chairs are limited but the design of this resort really make up to that flaw. Can't access to the beach when the tide is high, but you can access to the beach in the morning when the tide is low. Barbeque are available and it's FREE! Canoeing is available for FREE too!! The lady boss engaged conversation with me to introduced the resort and told me sometimes travellers tend to use the canoe and canoe to a small island, which is known as Pulau Tikus, just near to Lost Paradise Resort and gone off-shore from there and relax by the beach over there. It is interesting as this offers free entertainments for guests and I think it is worth every penny spent on my stay in Lost Paradise. There are so many things going on in this resort visually and you must experience it by yourself instead of someone explaining or typing it here. Sunset and Sunrise are wonderful and you need a sunshade when you're on the beach. It's quite hot as sea breeze is not strong in this area. My 2-double bed room is spacious, though there are a lack of amenities but the basic are provided. Room cleanliness could be improved but since my room was a new building just 3-months-old, perhaps more cleaning might help. Breakfast was average but heartwarming. Staffs hospitality are really good and I will definitely return again for my next visit.

Wonderful hospitality in this relaxing resort ”

We love "The Lost Paradise " resort for many reasons. The location is good and convenient. Can go anywhere by local bus or by "Grab". There is a private beach at this resort, which is very pleasant to look at and enjoy the sound of waves. It is also ok to swim in the beach. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacious and very clean. Sea view is amazing from room. We enjoyed the variety of foods offered for breakfast. Above all we like the relaxed atmosphere and the nice staff. Everyone made us feel very welcome. Special thanks for Mary

It’s called lost paradise for a good reason! We loved this haven!”

We had a big clean room that overlooked the pool and ocean! The staff were very kind and the facilities were clean and classy. There were sweet cats that greeted us and kept us company in the gardens. We really wanted to be near the beach, and it was easy to get to the Batu Ferringhi night market via bus or Uber. We did not eat at the resort but found great food just steps down the road at a local restaurant on the beach, and the owner was kind enough to open up for us on Chinese New Year when we couldn’t find anything else to eat close by. It’s a bit far from Georgetown, but we wanted to be away from town so it worked well for us. There is a bus stop right down the road with buses into Georgetown every 15 min or so. We would love to plan another trip to this resort. Thank you for your hospitality!

This is the Lost Paradise”

A hotel that provide wonderful experience holiday, a very luxury environment and unique designed like small luxury hotel group.

I am glad to be the first Agoda subscriber in the Lost Paradise Resort, it's an honour to received a very special and wonderful treatment from the owner. In fact, it's their own resident and they just like to share their joy of beautiful home which is a very private and luxury resort. I came with my wife and my son, they enjoy the place very much... it's like a dream heaven to us. Every single piece of furniture and decoration is unique by itself. It's perfect for family holiday and honeymoon. I strongly recommend to traveler who like to experience James Bond's type (beach holiday)of accommodation.

Paradise re-discovered”

If Batu Ferringhi is your preferred location, don't go any further. The pictures on the internet do not do this property justice, you really have to see it to believe it. My bathroom had a bath and shower. The room had a lounge area as well as a balcony where you could sit outisde and enjoy the view of tbe beach or at high tide simply listen to the lapping water. Pool and cafe were modest but very practical and enjoyable. The staff were fantastic. No problem with check in. House keeping attended to any request efficiently. This is a property that you can just sit back and enjoy and take some well deserved "me" time. A quick 15min bus ride for MYR1.40 and you are at Gurnie Plaza and all the fine eateries and shoping on could want or you could go to the night markets in Batur Ferringhi

Live up to its name.”

This resort certainly lives up to its name, Lost Paradise! When we were in the compound, we felt like we had entered a paradise, lost among the lush trees and flowers. I like how they place each building separated from each other for more privacy. The view is nice and I really love the resort is surrounded with greeneries. I definitely will come back again!

Found Paradise!”

Service, the grounds/atmosphere, and spacious room

Beautifully decorated rooms and gardens and grounds in the Balinese style nestled us just a few steps from the ocean, which instantly makes you relax. It was difficult to walk to any attractions in Batu Ferringhi; though it was only a 10-15 minute taxi ride to most eateries, beaches, and attractions. The breakfast buffet and service were fantastic and we felt the staff genuinely cared about us and wanted to help us in any way possible. We were so glad we chose this resort for the last leg of our trip, definitely a paradise!

Heartwarming haven”

What a find! If you're looking for a special, hidden away boutique hotel run by caring, helpful, super friendly staff, this is it. Lost Paradise is a very special place, with hidden nooks and corners filled with beautiful design details. (Look for the second, secret pool!) Birdsong and the sound of the sea could be heard from our room, we had fun looking out for monitor lizards and sea otters, and our room was spectacular. Bear in mind that there is no restaurant on site, but the bus or Uber can take you to town or nearby eateries no problem. Also do ask to be shown round the special school, also on site, which does remarkable, progressive work to integrate special needs kids with other kids. It's really an inspiring organisation. Views from the pool and the plants across the garden add to the peaceful atmosphere.

Great for family vacation”

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at the Lost Paradise Resort. At lot of passion and heart had gone into furnishing the place to make it as comfortable and pleasing as possible for the guests. Love the wide spacious rooms, generous breakfast buffet, stunning sea fronting views. Highly recommended. Will stay there again when we are next in Penang.

Paradise found, Bali in Penang”

Warm hospitality from owner, Dr and mrs chew and staff.

My daughter and I together with my brother and his wife stayed two nights in lost paradise resort. On checking in we were pleasantly surprised when the manager showed us the various rooms available and upgraded our rooms. My daughter and I enjoyed canoeing in the sea in front of the resort. The owner, Dr and mrs chew were very friendly and so are the staff. I will surely return to this " Bali in Penang". My special request is to have free shuttle service to long beach food court for dinner.

Best stay during our trip”

Friendly staff! Great room! The infinity pool!

We had an awesome time in the Lost Paradise Resort. Dr. Chew en his family are the best staff ever. They were so kind en helped us with a lot of things. They also brought us to a great foodcourt. And Iice took us on a beautiful walk trough the national park, with a stunning sunset and boattrip at the end. The infinity pool was beautiful, just like our room. When we checked in we immediately got an upgrade! The room was awesome, so luxery! We definitely recommended this resort, you will have a great time for sure!

Beautiful resort stay that calms your soul”

The lost paradise is a beautiful, peaceful resort. The staff are great, food is excellent, location and scenery are perfect. It's truly a paradise. The staff were very helpful and attentive to my elderly mother's needs. It's a place that cares.

Lovely community feel but hotel quality.”

Location, friendly, chic.

Situated near perfectly between historic Georgetown and the bustle of Batu Ferringhi the location is on its own small strip of beach and accomodation is individual, local chic chalet style. The pool is clean and most welcome after the standard busy days enjoying the sights, smells and tastes of Penang. And if that is what you are here for this place is perfect.
