I'll start with pros: Good location that are near to waterfront and restaurants and shops, friendly staff, cheap price Cons: I booked Standard Queen room but was told that it's unavailable during check in. They offered me a bunk bed room. I refused, and they managed to arrange a Standard Queen room for me in the end. However I had to change to the bunk bed room on my last night. By luck (or just poor management) the bunk bed room is not available during the last night, so they gave me a family room. Others: Breakfast are toast and eggs, the location although near to many things, is quite lonely at night. Located at the back of some shoplots.

Good thing about this hostel staff is friendly, very good location (very near to town) & they have breakfast. However I got bitten by bed bugs & the dorm feels very stuffy.

Some not so good things”
The common areas are nice and you get to use the small kitchen. The rooms are average and ours was very noisy, there is a nightclub just 50meters away and it was really loud, we couldn't sleep. Also the walls are thin. The blanket provided was for 1 person in a double bed, we asked for another one and at first they didn't provide one and later they came with a not so good blanket. Showers in our floor weren't working properly, we couldn't use them. We stayed 4 nights and we didn't get to shower in those showers, there was only one good shower downstairs. Breakfast is OK (no fruits, only toasts and eggs).

Bad facility experience”
The floor that I stayed (single room) appeared to have water coming out from the pipe in very low speed & volume. Furthermore, I didn't expect I need to stay in a room with fan only. Air-conditioners are only available in the reception counter. Not a good choice for me & I feel a bit regret of my selection indeed.

Already paid in agoda, but no room reserved”
Very disappointed. I make my booking through agoda and is paid. but when me and my friend reach there, the reception told me no room reserved and all room are full. Force me to cancel my booking. Location wise, it will be very noisy when at night due to a pub are nearby. overall, i'm quite disappointing.

Location is good, but mixed dorm had bedbugs. Two guests reported but staff did nothing. There are several other hostels nearby for similar price that might be a better option.

Shower in awful condition”
Showers with rotten doors, no hot shower and almost no pressure. Toilets/showers full of dirt everywhere. Breakfast included but nobody to explain or serve. There was bread and jams in dirty jars. The hot water tank was full of ants. It has a huge potential but lack of cleanliness

Bad experience since first time went to kuching”
Bilik no toilet .. receptionist kata for standard room memang xde toilet.. bwk baby 2month ingat senang ke.. aih not mention in agoda.. pay for 2 night burn.. p booking hotel lain yg lebih cheaper but facilities lengkap., never ever went to that hotel again

For over 4 weeks this has been the hostel I returned to after making trips. It has a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are very nice and helpfull. The dorm is very spacious, can definitely recommend them: you get excellent value for your money! The entire place is clean and the laundry service is just excellent as well: washed & dried clothes within 4 hrs for the standard price per kg in the Kuching area. The location is near the waterfront, the carpenter street and just perfectly located in Kuching. Beneath is a cafe with good pizza's and nice atmosphere. The best value for your money and to have a relaxed stay in Kuching! Definitely recommend Le Nomade!!
