The best location 3 star hotel”
20 years ago, my wife visited Paris for one day trip from London. She did not stay overnight. This year, we planned for our visit to this city for vacation & shopping. I was not interested in that but wanted to visit some iconic landmarks in Paris & spend some times in the Grand Mosquee of Paris. We also need to find halal food in Paris. So our itinerary coverage in Paris was large; from Belleville to Centre of Pompidou to Grand Mosquee to Champ Ellysee to Eiffle Tower, all within 4 days. Since we never experienced staying in Paris, our decision in choosing hotel is quite blur. After considering the coverage we need to do, we decided to stay as close to transport interchange station because we need to jump to Metro as fast as we can....and the hotel must be cheap but comfortable, sounds too good to be true. We came across Le Hotel de Normandie in Agoda, low price hotel, good location & the room looks good in the picture. So we booked. The moment we checked in, we knew that we made the right choice. The staff is friendly with english speaking, the Metro station is so closed that as if it's part of the hotel & the room is so carefully finished with good material (the sanitary fittings brand is Grohe) & the bed is so comfortable. What else can we say about this hotel....it's simply brilliant choice. I would highly recommended to all travelers. A few things though, you need to bring your own mug because the hotel does not provide, but they have kettle. Ask for room facing St Lazarre for some good view, but the window is not sound proof, so a bit noisy at night. Expect the room small but for moslem there are space for pray. No halal food around, you need to travel to Belleville to find one. All in all.....book this hotel while it's still cheap and have a nice day

Good find in Paris”
There are so many hotels in Paris, and it felt daunting to pick one out for our first visit to this beautiful city. Hotels right next to the Louvre and other attractions are hundreds of dollars more a night. The Le Grande Hotel de Normandie is close enough to the Arch De Triumph and Louvre to walk there, and the subway to the Eiffel Tower is right across the street. Our concierge recommended an amazing French restaurant near the Eiffel Tower that had top quality food for a fraction of the price. Bravo!

Large room in a Great Location”
We had a lovely stay at Le Grand Hotel de Normandie. Everyone was really friendly. Within walking distance to shopping (Galleries Lafayette, Printemps) and several train stations. About 5-10 minute walk to the Roissy Bus, which takes you directly to CDG. The room was a great size...enough space to lay everything out. I love the big desk. They're still in the process of getting things setup. On our last night there, they installed a mirror. Pros: Across the street from the Saint-Lazare station Newly renovated, so everything is very clean Flat screen TV with English and French channels Cons: Our room was on the first (French) floor above the restaurant and facing the street and train station entrance. It can be a bit loud w/ the train rumbling underneath and garbage trucks driving by. After a couple of days, we got used to it, but if you're a light sleeper, get a room higher up.

Great rooms, convenient location, friendly staff”
I lodged at Le Grand Hotel de Normandie for 3 nights in September 2013. Don't let the exterior of the hotel fool you, while the street is narrow and the main entrance and lobby is small, the hotel itself feels new and the rooms are spacious. The front lobby staff spoke good English and were friendly, none of the stereotypical snobby French types. Having heard stories about hotel rooms in Paris being tiny, I was quite wary, especially since I was travelling solo. However, I got a spacious room with a king-sized bed! The room also faced away from the main road and therefore there was minimal noise. The room and bathroom were clean and new, the wireless internet was fast. I had no complaints. Location wise, I was very pleased as the hotel is located literally across the road from the St. Lazare Metro line which made going anywhere super convenient. Galleries LaFayette is just down the road from the hotel and there is a large FNAC just across the street. There are plenty of shopping malls and restaurants littered about and you can basically get all the essentials you might need. Would definitely return and stay there again the next time I'm in Paris!

value for money”
It was a nice stay at the Le Grand Hotel de Normandie. The subway is just opposite to the hotel and the shopping malls are within walking distance which is very convenient. There's one cafe near the hotel that offers awesome coffee and croissant, you must go and try it yourself. And most of all, the staff there are very friendly and they can offer with you very useful travel tips which makes your life much easier when you are in Paris.

Our pleasant stay with Le Grand Hotel de Normandie”
My wife and I had an enjoyable stay for 4 nights at Le Grand Hotel de Normandie. L Open Tour hop on and hop off office is just less than 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The Mollard restaurant serves great tasty food across the road and Saint Lazare Metro station is also just across the road. The hotel staffs are fluent in English speaking and were helpful to us in destinations direction guidance.

Excellent choice of holiday accommodation ”
I stayed 4 nights at Le Grand Hotel de Normandie and it was excellent! It was just a small street across the Metro station and a few blocks from Printemps and Lafayette. I stayed on the highest floor with a balcony and the view was great. Staff were friendly too and proficient in English. Would definitely stay there again or recommend to friends!

Great Location”
Great Location - Le Grand Hotel de Normandie is just across the road from Saint-Lazare Train Station. Easy access and easy to find the entrance of this hotel too! Convenient for Food - There are few restaurants (pub and fast food) just next to the hotel and they will operate till late night. So.. No need to worry you will get hungry at night. ;) However, the room accommodation's photo posted in agoda is different from the room that i stayed and my room there is NO view at all!! :( Overall, happy with my stay with this hotel!

Very decent hotel”
this is recently refubrished hotel, so everything is new. the room was very spacious (about 20 m2 which is is outstanding for paris). the hotel is situated in opera district and is in walking distance to all major attractions (20 minutes do sacre coeur, 15 to notre dame, 15 to pl. de la concorde etc., 10 to louvre and 5 to haussman blvd and gallery lafayette) the metro station is just at the frontdoor. the roissy bus stop is also very near this hotel, so it is very easy to get to the airport. the staff is extremely kind and willing to help. i was upgraided to double room on 6th floor with a balcony and view at paris. definetely i would stay there again and recommend it to other visitors.

Easy, comfortable, decent, homey, great staff”
To expound on the best things stated above: Location- easy walk to the roissy bus stop which took us to and from the airport within 30min of getting on the bus. This was my first trip to Paris so It was such a great feeling that i didnt have to worry or have any excuse about being late or missing my flight or getting lost in finding the hotel. Also, you' re right next to the metro station which is literally like a mall. We bought our daily essentials at the grocery store inside. We never dined in because right downstairs at the corner of the block, they served decent breakfast. Take note that it is also very close to Lafayette and Printemps. As Agoda only offered us twin bed occupancy at that time, we contacted the hotel if they could spare us a double bed room instead. to our surprise they even upgraded us to a bigger room with a view of the Eiffel Tower. The only drawback ( which is not the hotel's fault) is that there is some road construction happening right outside the hotel entrance which makes it unpleasant at first, but when you weigh all the pros of it, and when construction ends, I think this hotel will be tops! Staff efficiency- I never met those that fixed our room after we'd leave early every morning, only to return late in the afternoon. It felt like there were magical elves! I like also that the hotel was keen on protecting the environment with notices in the toilet. At the front desk, they spoke good English and would help us on any tour enquiries. Take note that you can leave your bags if you arrive early before checkin time or if you have checked out but don't intend to leave for the airport just yet. It was a very well oiled machine experience. They let you be, and are really smooth! Cleanliness- given this was Paris, we were very happy with the size of the room. Also, seems that the hotel was recently renovated so everything is new, which made the stay extra comfortable! All in all, we'd definitely stay here again, no doubt about that!

Nice but need to figue out something”
It's almost a good experience to stay at Le Grand Hotel de Normanie during short stay in Paris for two nights. However,we were charged 8euro from staff for paying "the tax of plug adaptor" before checking out. Because our plug adaptor is dead and my husband just borrowed one from hotel one night before. He was not informed that there is any charge of this....Anyway, just ensure you got the plug adaptor with good condition while travelling. I still don't figue out what's the tax for ?? And no receipt neither.

Amazing hotel”
HOTEL COND/CLEANLINESS: hotel is in very good condition at the time of my stay(Sept 2014).it's fairly new&everything is clean to the point of almost spotless.it even has automatic doors at the entrance(locked late at night for security purpose, but the receptionist will open the door for hotel guest).the lobby is small but that's not a prob for me.Lift is available LOCATION: Location couldnt be better than this:it's situated at the side of St Lazare (10steps away from Rue de Amsterdam exit of St Lazare).St Lazare is a very big metro/subway/bus station with many connecting lines. So if you're planning to travel around with metro/subway,this hotel is perfect for u ROOM COMFORT: the room is very clean&new as well, including all the facilities, bed, bathroom.the facilities provided are heater, hair dryer, air cond, plasma tv,free WiFi.No complimentary mineral water is provided though, but it's not a prob because there's a supermarket nearby(Carrefour City in St Lazare).the room that we lived in had a direct view of St Lazare, which is a beautiful scenery.often,we bought some breakfast&coffee&just went back to the hotel, sat in front of the window&enjoyed our meal there with the cool breeze basking us.beats eating at a busy cafe STAFF PERFORMANCE: Staff performance is great as everyone commands proper English. We dont speak a word of French&we manage to get by just fine. They are friendly&helpful. One of them even helped us to press the button for the lift when they saw us entering the main entrance from outside so that we dont have to wait so long for the lift to arrive.a big thumbs up VALUE FOR MONEY: the price for the hotel is considered reasonable&very much value for money.we made some research on a number of hotels&decided to give this a try because of the location&price.it's well worth it CONCLUSION: this hotel is definitely to look out for if you're looking for a value-for-money, clean, modern, easy access & friendly-English-speaking-staff hotel

A Perfect Stay!”
This was PERFECT! The hotel is literally next to metro station. You can reach supermarket in just a 2 min walk. The hotel is also close to Opera Garnier, Printemps and La Fayette, and you can find everything you want there! We were assigned to a high floor room with balcony. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and helpful, and most importantly they spoke good English! I would say the stay was perfect and i will definitely choose it again if I travel to Paris next time!
