Exceptional”
Good location, prime location as it is close to everything supermarket railway station and it got a bar and restaurant if ever you feel hungry. Although the wall are quite thin and the bathroom and toilet facility is quite dated. But if ever I stay Dunedin I would still book this place and plus they provide you with a free parking..

Huge room, very comfortable bed, heart of city.”
Our room was lovely! The bed was super confortable with clean, crisp white sheets. It had a bathroom, closet, tv, tea & coffee, fridge. The hotel itself is a little dated, but the room felt clean and fresh. The elevator made coming and going easy, and it was alot of fun having a chilled out pub downstairs. It was easy to walk everywhere in the city, and best of all, it has off street, free parking!!

Excellent home away from home”
Together with Joanna and Billy, their team are so hospitable and helpful. I cannot recommend a better place to stay and eat at Dunedin.

very very good location and good service”
Hotel location is perfect, easy to go to the supermaket, train station and other scenic spots by walking with a few minutes. Restaurants can be easy found arround hotel. Hotel Joanna was very helpful with very good service. She helped me to mail a set of room key to Queen's Town which I forgot to left for the house we stayed in Queen's Town. Thank very very much! Joanna! Absulutely worth to recomment!

Great location, friendly staff”
Fantastic location in centre of town with free off-street parking. The rooms have an appealing décor (with the fashionable but inconvenient overload of pillows) but a crusty, dated bathroom. A real plus is the light switch inside the bathroom so you don’t disturb your partner during the night. All staff we interacted with were friendly. The freezer section of the small fridge is tiny but staff were happy to keep our freezer bricks in their freezer overnight. The hotel is close to supermarkets and the train station as well as the main part of town.

Pleasant budget hotel”
The hotel room was outdated and had no view but it was very clean, the bedding was new and comfortable. It was interesting that the toilet, basin and bathroom were individually situated in separate room, so my room was spacious and quiet. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby and supermarket Count down was 5 mins away.

Basic but fine”
I stayed one night while en route elsewhere. The hotel is quite basic but the room was clean, with all the essential things you need (including a comfortable bed, heaters, kettle and hairdryer). It is right in the middle of town so there is traffic noise — they give you earplugs — but that’s inevitable given the location. Staff were friendly and efficient.

A good, central place to stay”
Totally central so you can walk everywhere in this great city. Free parking on site is a real bonus. Had a triple room on the 3rd floor. This meant plenty of room and absolutely no noise. Loads of bars and restaurants in the Octagon just up the road and a big Countdown supermarket a few metres in the opposite direction. Would certainly stay again.

Very close to everywhere”
Right in the center of the city & a great place to make your base while exploring the many attractions the area has to offer. Adjacent to the famous railway station & the starting point for the Taieri Gorge Railway trip ( a MUST trip). Very close to the Octagon

Heritage Hotel ”
The Queen Elizabeth II visited the City in 1954 and stayed in this hotel. The hotel was built in 1939 and has its heritage history in every corner. Rooms are small but for travelers are suitable.

Great Location”
The location was unbeatable. It's 2 min walk from the Octagon (centre of Dunedin). Room was cosy though decor was outdated.

More than meets the eye”
Great location, building looks rough from the outside, but had a brilliant room overlooking the city. Location is fantastic, with free parking. Was not looking forward to the cold, but room was well provided with heating facilities. Didn't come with iron, but when called reception was advised iron available on each floor. Highly recommended.

Good location ”
If you travel by intercity bus or by train, the hotel is a few metres away. A shopping mall & a supermarket are just around the corner. The hotel is very old and rundown. I was travelling with my 12 year old daughter & was bit frightened when I first arrived. But nothing to worry . The room was very comfortable & clean, we ordered a seafood platter for dinner . It was delicious & so huge we couldn't finish it. Definitely will stay here again.

TOO NOISY”
location for moving around the city is fantastic. However the price to pay for that is traffic noise throughout the night. I didn't get much sleep

Better than Expected”
You can't be the location. Single room was fine for a single person; no need for more space contrary to other's opinions. Quiet, but they were doing road repairs at the time, so not as quiet as it should have been. It's a bit of an older place, so some signs of wear and tear, but clean. Sink in bedroom area; toilet and shower in a different doored-off room. My first experience in this style of accommodation; happy there wasn't any noise from the pub below. I would stay here again.
