Exceptional”

Lanta Sea House is the perfect base in Klong Dao for exploring Koh Lanta. The bungalow we had for 3 people was enormous and recently refurbished. The grounds of the hotel are well maintained and being able to swap between sea and pool with ease was perfect for us travelling with children. Breakfast is basic but adequate to set you up for a day out and about. But it’s the evening views here that are stunning, sit on the terrace just to the left of the volleyball newly and you have a perfect sunset framed by palms.

Easy, relaxing and convenient ”

We stayed at lanta sea house after 2 weeks on the island testing and trialing different areas. It was the best value for money in term of location. Great relaxing pool area and layed back resort. After having some bad showers or run down rooms it was great to come to lanta sea house and have a nice, strong shower and comfortable room. Very well catered for young family’s and just the right amount of night life to keep the little ones happy at dinner time. The resort doesn’t do dinner witch made it a great quiet resort at night time and perfect for little ones. With everything on your door step this isn’t a problem at all! We will be back :)

Excellent hotel on the beach”

We had an amazing stay at the Lanta Sea House. The room was lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff were amazing and always helpful with any questions we had about the hotel and the surrounding area. We went in low season and the place was deserted. The beach was lovely and empty. Great place to spend our anniversary. We used the airport shuttle from the hotel which, although quite expensive for Thailand, was well worth the money. We will be back!

“The Swedish Sea House” :)”

We are a family of 5 who stayed at Lanta Sea House for 7 days and nights. In sum: Koh Lanta is great. The location of Lanta Sea House is superb. The Lanta Sea House itself is OK. When we stayed at Lanta Sea House the place was fully booked. Besides us mostly only Swedish people stayed here. Unfortunately they even showed Swedish kids TV by the pool in the afternoons. The place delivers on its key promises, no more no less. The place is starting to look a bit worn down, but everything is fully functioning and it’s located directly on the beautiful beach as advertised. The pool is not as big as one might get the impression of, but hey, you have the beach right outside. The staff is friendly and speaks good English, better than most places in Thailand. They are clearly professionally trained, but also seem a bit less warm and accommodating than other places we have visited. Rooms are large and cleaning happens every day and is effective. There was no wifi connection in our room, but outside by the pool area connection and speed was fine. Breakfast is a continental, with plenty of choice. In sum we had a good time here, but now that we’ve tried it we would probably stay some place else if we were to visit Koh Lanta again in the future.

Perfectly located at the best part of klong Dao beach and close to Sala Dan. The fantastic staff took great care of us with genuine personal interest- very service minded while at the same time maintaining a very relaxed atmosphere. Good pool area with shaded spaces - great with small childre - and splendid views of the besch and the Andaman Sea. We are already planning to come back again next year :-)

Friendly staffs, resort is right in front of the beach”

Friendly and helpful staffs who helped me a lot for the pick up to ferry pier and gave me information of what I asked for. Room was clean and big. Klong Dao Beach is very peaceful and beautiful and resort is right in front of it. 3 mins walk to oasis yoga, 5-10 mins walk to 7-11 at both directions of the main road, the island bar at the next door which was wonderful.

Amazing value”

A perfect small hotel with separate bungalows right on the best beach in Koh Lanta. The beach is filled with various restaurants and bars, all walking distance from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location, Resort itself rather generic”

Lanta Sea House is a lovely, if somewhat uninspired, resort right on Klong Dao beach, a great sandy beach. The good: - The beach was perfect for swimming: no rocks, clear water, not many boats pulling up for pick up/drop offs. - Cute little bungalows with plenty of space, small fridge, good bathroom, fair water pressure. We loved the private porch. - Bed: Thailand hard, but still comfortable. - Very nice & well maintained landscaping - Plenty of beach loungers & shade - Beachside tables with a roof (providing shade) for hanging out - Nice pool right by the beach (but....) - Several bars/restaurants down the beach for dinner/snacks. - Location is perfect for viewing the sunset. The not so good: - AC in the bungalow was marginal. It took the edge off the heat, but never really got cold. - No coffee/tea set up in the room. ONLY place in Krabi where we found that! - MANY kids, usually in the pool. Lots of screaming, crying, running, etc. Not much parental control. - Everybody seemed to be blond, Scandinavian, & not very friendly. Hard to strike up a conversation. - Staff was just going through the motions. No extra efforts, not very friendly. - Breakfast buffet: -- Not good: Cold, rather funny tasting scrambled eggs. Cold sausage. and tasteless ham in warm water. Very dry/not flavorful waffles and pancakes. -- Good: toast and cheese (seriously, the hot toast melted the cheese -- try it). Fresh pineapple. - Coffee/tea was totally self serve and only in the morning. Small cups gone in 3 gulps. Would have been nice if the staff went around with refills. - Beach towels: Old, ratty and edges unraveling. We had booked for 3 nights to check it out and decided to try a different place (and were happy we did). Rate = ~$75US per night, the most we paid for any place in Krabi. Not worth it. Sorry.

We Love Lanta Sea House”

3rd time staying at this hotel , and we love everything about it. Breakfast buffet is not the best, but you'll get everything ( and more ) you need We like it Hotel right at the beach, and not long up to the Main Street, you'll walk to Saladan in 15-20 minutes, or you take the tuktuk Klong Dao beach is great, with lots of restaurants and shopping. We will return 👍

Exceptional”

This hotel is situated beachfront on a beautiful beach. We stayed in a deluxe main building room, which was very nice, clean and had all necessary facilities. Aircon is good, TV has a few English channels. We took a Firestick and used it to watch Netflix etc. Wifi is excellent so the Firestick worked well. The bathroom is clean with good hot water and a reasonable shower. Hotel grounds look messy when first entering the resort from the road but the grounds around the accommodation are ok. Could be tidier but ok. There is a nice little seafront bar and a restaurant serving excellent food, all at very reasonable prices. The pool is nice but was full of small children while we were there so we didn't use it but the sea is right there so no need for a pool. Plenty of sunbeds although at times you can struggle to find a free one because people reserve them with a towel all day, even if they are not there, very frustrating. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Well run resort.

Koh lanta was very quiet this time of the year, the hotel is situated in a perfect location to anywhere you need to get to and the bike rental the hotel offers is cheap

Excellent value and location”

We loved our stay at Lanta Sea House. The adjoining rooms were spacious and clean. The location was awesome, absolute beachfront and central to everything. Areas of improvement could be - greater care of the grounds, a buffet breakfast, bar or full service restaurant. That said, we would still come back and will happily recommend it.

Great Stay”

We asked for early check-in upon arrival & the staff were very helpful. They quickly made up the three chalets that we booked. The chalets were decent with quite dated furnishing. The sea was quite rough during our visit, enjoyed the stroll along the beach and the kids loved the swimming pool. Halal food was not a problem at all. One restaurant located just across the street offered delicious Thai food for breakfast & lunch. Compared to Krabi, Koh Lanta is rather quiet during the night. A great place to relax, drive around the island & enjoy the scenery.

we were a group of 5 backpackers and we decided to stay at Lanta Sea House for few days of relax to end our vacation.The island is very quiet and we had a great time. The location of the resort is perfect if you look for a very quiet place to stay, few bars and restaurants on the beach but mostly empty. The only bad experience we had here was with the staff, apart from a young very nice guy, the rest of it has been rude and not very welcoming, especially the manager at the reception. We were denied a late checkout despite having plenty of rooms available since the hotel had only few guests. we would still reccomend to stay here for a good money value and a relaxing and quiet experience.

directly at the beautiful Dao beach, pool and lots of toys for kids, cheap streetfood possibities are close, room was very spacoius and beds fantastic. We only missed a kettle for preparing baby food or coffee in the room.

Graet location. Partially old facility ”

Greate place to go with children. Directly on a fantastic beach that is not too crowdy. Fantastic restaurants around. Pool is directly on the beach and great for the kids. In the hotel there's everything available what they need to play on the beach or in the pool. The bungalows on the left hand side looking at the sea ate quite old and basic but this was what we expected looking at the pictures. The bungalows on the right hand side look new but are also more expensive. At the end they are clean and ok for sleeping inside. The mosque is not far away so you hear it at 5 o'clock but it's quite short. The breacfast is very very good and adapted to European taste. All in all good place.

Soulless ”

On the surface, Lanta Sea House has all the right facilities - cute bungalows, a pool, beachside restaurant, etc. But there's no love in the place. The staff genuinely couldn't give a toss whether you were there or not, and only want your money - whether they have to cheat you out of it or not. We had an issue with our booking and they were ambivalent at best (and that's being generous to their attitude.). The food in the restaurant is barely passable - clearly made with frozen ingredients, and at twice the cost of comparable resorts in the area - we tried them all so as to not have to eat there anymore. The one redeeming quality is that the rooms are spacious, pretty, and the beds are very comfortable. However, the floors are dangerously slippery throughout the room, including the "wet" bathroom, and there was no hot water in the shower. The attitude of the staff and lack of hospitality ruined the stay for us.
