Highly recommended accommodation in Bantayan!”

My best friend and I enjoyed our stay in La Playa Estrella! The hotel is just a 5 to 10 minute ride from Sta. Fe port. They have free shuttle service (which is such a big plus!!!) to and from the port but from 8AM to 5PM only. Staff was nice and they were very hospitable and attended to all our requests promptly. The room was clean and the inclusion of a cable TV was perfect for relaxing after a long day of island hopping. WiFi reception is kinda weak but bearable, since the purpose of going to Bantayan was enjoying the island itself ;) Clean towels were provided. You just have to request for additional toiletries as these are given in very small packs. You can also enjoy a nice walk by the beach. Beach front was clean. But when it's super low tide, you won't enjoy the view at all so we transferred to Kota Beach the following morning as it was low tide that day. Overall, great stay. Would definitely book this place again when I return to Bantayan.

Great location & wonderful staff!”

In the 4 nights & 5 days of our stay, we've not only enjoyed the beautiful beach & nature but also the people. Upon arrival we we're greeted by Juvy who told us later on that we we're upgraded by the owner. Our room was clean and we have what we needed especially the beach view. The beach front was clean and we'll maintained compared to Kota & other beaches. Thank you La Playa for the impeccable service & friendship we found. We enjoyed the food made by chef Bo-dik. The breakfast crew: Sandra, Francis, Jenny & Luz we're very attentive and always served us with a smile. The security guard nong Eddie & the morning guy we're very friendly. In our last night they had a beach party and Jean at the tiki bar was also nice. The staff made our stay very memorable!!! Will surely miss the laughter and good times shared. Beachfront!”

Room: All basic things you need from a room was there- aircon, TV, wifi. No major complaints except for the weak water pressure from the shower. Amenities: There’s a restaurant and a beach bar for your convenience. There’s also a port shuttle but I wasn’t able to use it ‘cos of availability issue, so, better call first to check if it’s available. Location: A little far from the center (Sta. Fe) where the restaurants, cafes, pubs, etc are located but commute from the resort and back was very easy. 20 pesos per way using a tricycle or a pedicab. I actually like the fact that it’s a bit away from the center ‘cos I like the vibe of exclusivity and chill environment. What I love the best: THE BEACH. Water is shallow and clear which is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Lounge chairs are available to use. Beachfront is clean- there is always someone cleaning the beachfront for debris which is really fantastic! Conclusion: My stay at La Playa Estrella was short but sweet! My main reason for coming to Bantayan Island was to relax and here at La Playa, I was able to do so. Will definitely book again next time I’m in Bantayan Island.

Beautiful Beach and Good Value for Money”

La Playa was a nice place to stay in Bantayan - they had a very nice shoreline and very soft white sand. Also, the beach does not have rocks/stones which makes it very good to swim too. Also, it is close to Sta. Fe Market and food places, just a 5-minute ride on your motorcycles. The staff was also kind enough to let us check-in earlier than the said time since we arrived early in the morning and there were already vacant rooms. The room was really spacious, clean and so comfortable. We enjoyed our stay as well since there was a small beach party held by La Playa themselves, there was music, lights which made our stay much better. Thanks, La Playa, I'd suggest this resort to my friends.

Great place,Great people and pet friendly”

We're glad that we stayed at La Playa. We felt so welcome. The owner Ms. Thess was so nice and accommodating during our stay as well as the staff. They catered to our needs well. We love the beach, even our dog had so much fun during the low tide. They also have a bar on the beach which is cool. Their restaurant serves good food at a reasonable price(loved the grilled fish). Would definitely stay at this place again whenever we go back to Bantayan Island. I've been recommending this place to my friends and family who asked about our stay in Bantayan.

Appreciate Cebu more in La Playa”

If you want to destress, just relax and appreciate even more the beauty of Cebu and its beaches, go to Sante Fe, Bantayan Island and check-in at La Playa, the best resort I have been in Cebu. This resort and its staff deserves a perfect score! I will definitely come back.

Spacious resort with natural feel and superb beach in front”

Pros: Fabulous clean beach from heaven! Bright and spacious resort unspoilt with concrete. Sand and trees giving a natural feel. Friendly staff who even provided me a portable clothes rail to hang my rinsed exercise clothes to dry without me asking. Helpful and knowledgeable waitress who gave advice what to see in Bantayan Island. Great aircon in the room and good cable tv. Cons: Ants in room 18. Broken bed legs in room 19. But easy to fix. Staff said my bicycle was not allowed. Don’t know why. Food in restaurant needs improvement to compete with other establishments. Coming from Cebu City we are used to a high standard for food. We expect this when we’re on holiday. A broom in each room would be nice so guests can brush the sand out.

La Playa Estrella Beach Resort is worth the money. Our stay their was very smooth, and all their staff were very friendly & accommodating. Their billiards & table tennis were also free of use. Our stay their was very relaxing. Looking forward to get back their again. Thank you!

Exceptional”

One of the best resorts that I have stayed so far. The place was very clean and super nice. Beach front is cleaned every morning and location is near to all the tourist spots in santa fe. A very plus for me was the very friendly and very accommodating staff especially the front desk and the guards. The only problem we had was the toilet because it won’t flush but they directly attended to it but still the next day it won’t flush again so we had to use another toilet in another vacant room near our room. Overall I would surely rate this resort a 100% and would stay here again when I come back to Bantayan Island 😊

We loved our stay in La Playa! Even if all rooms are booked, it never felt cramped at all! ”

Our 2 kids enjoyed the sand - powdery soft! They also loved the playground and deep well. Even if it was peak season (Holy Week), the place had so much space for everyone. We went around to nearby resorts and it felt crowded. It would be best though if La Playa has other activities like kayaking 😊

Perfect retreat with powdery white sand”

There’s a lot of places to see in Bantayan but I didnt mind staying all day in this resort. It’s a little peaceful paradise on its own. The sand is powdery white on the beachfront and plus points because they’re so close to a sandbar! Rooms are clean, the bed’s comfortable, and the staff are really nice and accommodating (especially the two ladies at the beachfront bar. Aside from always making us feel at home, they also informed us of what else we can do on the island). I also like the fact that they offer free shuttle to the the port. This review would’ve been perfect if they had better food options at the restaurant. Not saying their food is bad. In fact the spaghetti and lasagna were really good! The other fares are okay, but not extraordinary, I would say. Maybe they can improve on adding more options like dried danggit or pusit for breakfast. Overall, we had a really good stay here! Would definitely go back and recommend to friends!

Place of Serenity”

I loved our stay at La Playa Estrella. I love how the place is peaceful and laid-back. There's not much crowd given it is a peak season. I also love their food at their restaurant. Free shuttle service is also a big plus! The staff are very accomodating. Our room was clean. Overall it was a great and memorable experience and for sure I will come back here. :)

I have stayed in La about 2 to 3 times now, I have 2 young children, very accommodating for them, the staff and management super awesome and helpful, the cleanliness is truly amazing, you can see the pride of the owners and the staff there...... So, you have asked me, if I would recommend La Playa Estrella to my friends.....Yes!!! I have and I will continue to do so.....

Very good”

This would seem the first ever review for this resort since the pandemic started. So to start, what I like about this resort is its free ride to and from the ferry. The hotel contacted me a day before my stay to get details (me and my friends') so they can generate QR codes. They sent us the QR codes with no details on what to do with it, literally an email with nothing on it but the QR codes only. La Playa has asked us to (mandatorilly) rent their mobile air purifier (one that you wear on your neck) for 200 pesos each throughout our 2-day stay. To be honest we didnt really see the need of it, their staff isnt even wearing one when we got their. Totally an unnecessary expenses for us with no prior heads up. A waste of money and very impractical. They mentioned about it being a requirement from DOT but duh again, their staffs are not even wearing one, if safety and covid protocol is concerned. Their guests are not even wearing it nor have they reminded their guests to wear it while on the resort. The next resort we've checked in said their is no such thing being required. There were 4 of us so we booked a family room that can accomate up to 6 people. The room is very spacious, modern, and has good lighting. We wish that they have a mirror in the room. The 4 of us have to share that 1 single small mirror they have on the toilet (you wont find this a problem if theres only 2 of you). Their room bookings does not come with breakfast, so it's either you go out in the morning to look for a karenderia or you dine in on their resto. Their breakfast ranges from 180 to 200 pesos. My friends agree that we can cook better sunny side up eggs. Their coffee is 3-in-1, a shocker for a very ordinary breakfast with an expensive price tag. Their staffs are friendly (as they should) but not as proactive as you would hope for this resort. For example, we have to explicitly ask for our complementary water, and towels on day 2. They did not even bother retrieve the used towels the

Hi. I’m so glad I chose to stay in La Playa Estrella. The beach was just perfect. The staff were welcoming and accommodated to my needs. I also enjoyed the foods. I will definitely be coming back here :)

Great beach front”

I love the beach front. It was clean and no trace of seaweed. I went to other beaches but I still liked la playa way better. There are only few people. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy.

Peaceful location”

Staff were really accomodating and allowed us to check-in early. The resort is a bit far from the restaurants but we don't mind as the location is less crowded. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. They also have free shuttle to and from the port. Thank you La Playa! We enjoyed our vacation in Bantayan!
