Resort at the great spot ”

Individual staff at Lapaz resort is very friendly and helpful. The resort is also at the great location on the private island. It’s the perfect place for the travelers who are looking for non busy and crowded area. There’s one thing we hope hotel will get it done in the future though that they manage to set up lamps around the resort compound. I think it will mainly be essential for solo travelers. Hope it happens. I’ll choose to stay there again when I next visit Halong bay.

located conviently, it has nice view and good landscape including beautiful pools. bath facility is the only thing i can not give good rating.

Clean beautiful rooms but lacking basic amenities ”

Great location. Amid beautiful setting. Service ok but not so professional. Bath tub not usable because of broken valve, water flow very weak. A few mosquitos in bedroom! Beautiful beach but not well kept: a few plastic bottles and dead rats littered around. Nagative points easy to get rid of due to fact that the resort has not yet fully functional!

Dated place xlose to cruise harbor”

Not too close to harbor to hear boats, not too far to walk. Was nicely designed and pool os best part of hotel. Rooms are dated with little signs of maintenamce. Wss a 4 star. Rapidly approaching a 3. It is no wonder why so many visitors to Halong Bay choose to stay in Hanoi and make the 12 hour round trip/cruise. Not many good choices in Halong and 3 x the price!

Location, service, rooms, restaurant, beach, walks I liked everything! The staff above all praised! Will definitely return to this hotel! Cozy bed, smart internet, luxurious service, nice interior of public areas. Shuttle to the pier on Kat Ba. It is unfortunate that we stayed only for 1 night. Will definitely be back for a week!

Great value for money. We had a lovely view from our room and the staff were very helpful. The location is ok. Food options at the hotel and around weren’t good and it was overpriced as you’d expect for the area. Maybe better deals out there.

Older style”

The hotel staff out did themselves to help me with a number of things. The hotel itself is quite old with villas showing their age however rooms are large but wooden floor and furniture around could do with an upgrade. The pool is fine but rooms lose a clear view of Halong Bay as palm trees obscure view. Restuarant for dinner is very average and breakfast is ok nothing special. A great location, free transport to boat and fantastic staff make this still worthwhile

I travel with Agoda many times, but never more disapointing than this. My booking is amended from beach front to the hill, La Paz have no sign leading to the resort. Facilities is very old

Nice hotel”

Staying at this hotel is nice but small amount of water getting from the tap in the shower room . No spa service and as it’s a bit far from city centre , if u r staying in the room, nothing much to do.

Hotel lata świetności ma już za sobą, ale miła obsługa i przyjemne otoczenie wynagradzają pewne niedogodności. Bardzo dobra kuchnia, śniadania obfite, ale jakość daje trochę do życzenia.

The staffs were so friendly and helpful. The rool was nice and we had a stunning view on the Halong Bay. However the other customers (from Vietnam) were spitting on the floor, blowing their noses in the swimming pool. Quiet different from what I was expecting.

Disappointing customer service”

This place is really close to the harbour for cruises and has a decent pool and beach front. However, the room and staff quality is less than satisfactory. Our balcony had an active hornets nest, our ‘double bed’ was two twins out together (which led to it eventually being pushed apart), the hot water in the shower would quickly run out and the WiFi connection had to be reset twice a day - in the morning and evening (after us having to call reception to let them know). Not to mention how rediculous ‘room service’ is. When asked to bring ice cream, we were told that it would melt (even though they had already done the night before). We told them it would be fine asked for the same ones. They brought up the wrong ones then looked frustrated when we told them it was wrong. We called again to ask for the flavours and I was told that he didn’t know because ‘he hasnt tasted them yet’. I could go on about disappointing customer service. They also don’t respond to emails, so don’t bother.

all in all it was good value for money.. i really like the shower area.. breakfast could be improved a bit.. one thing made me really sad was the housekeeping staff kept chatting in a loud voice in front of my room for hours (not kidding) in the morning!!..

Nice view, dilapidated facilities, soso breakfast”

The room is big with a nice balcony and nice man made beach view. Unfortunately, the pool is renovating, jacuzzi is running-down, breakfast seems to be reheated for several days, and the hotel is quite far from the city center but near the marina.

You can enjoy the view very well just the beach where you need 20 stores to go and it's far from like 15 kn from the busy street of the halong main city .
