after travelling from gisborne we were super tired and just needed a bed - arrived at 11pm after hours and the manager was accommodating even tho we were 2 hours after closing - had a bril sleep - its actually a quirky & really cool lil motel tucked away in the main shopping street - handy to shops - yet was quiet and had a private feel i would rather stay at a cosy motel - then at a fancy one that has nosey managers for example ALCAMA in palmy - dont stay there - the managers are like the gastapo and do nosey perimter checks - kiwi studio is cheap and cheerful monica Eastick

Was perfect location for what I needed to do. First time to Palmerston and handy to everything. Décor is a little dated, but staff were fantastic and the room was comfortable and clean. Will definitely go back there again.

Great location, good price”

Easy access to most of the restaurants and eateries at Palmerston North. Our room better than we've expected, especially the size, only that the tiny sink inside the bathroom made us very difficult to wash and brush. The heater attached to a timer is good in terms of environmental friendly, and the cold weather might wake you up in the mid-night.

Clean and comfortable, in the perfect location”

We have stayed at this motel many times. It has secure off street parking, it’s clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. The main shopping area and many restaurants are a short stroll away. Staff are friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money.

Lovely place to stay”

Staff were amazing, room was generously sized, bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra blankets. Car parking and location were really convenient. Only downside was the noise coming from the road of crowds walking home in the early morning, but that is to be expected given the location and the fact that it was the weekend. Overall a really lovely stay.

Pros: Good location, nice friendly staff, very tidy room, and fast and stable wifi. Cons: Due to the central location, it is a bit noisy although all windows are closed. Sometimes customers in other rooms talk and chat outside of the room loudly.

Very central location and good value for money. Rooms were a bit chilly as it was a very cold night outside and the heater was on a timer but otherwise a great option for budget travellers.

Good stay, basic room but had everything we needed. Location is perfect and a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The bed was extremely hard & uncomfortable.

Fabulous stay. Awesome shower. Clean. Roomy space. Well equipped - everything needed was available. Great spot, as quiet even though in the city centre. Appreciated the gates shut were at night.

Within walking distance of pretty much everything, right in town! With this comes some noise but not too bad. There could be better heating, it was quite cold even with the heater on full. Comfy beds, tidy, what you would expect for what we paid.

Motel stay”

The only thing that was annoying was having to open and close the gate after 9pm at night if you went out. The gate is big and cumbersome and the peg doesn't have a hook so you have to hold it up while you are moving the gate.

Walls very thin could hear TV, voices from next door. Apart from that, was value for money.

Just very easy, especially when the function we attended was a few doors down!
