Historic landmark that has a new life”

From the airport, the best way to go is by taxi as it is nearly the same price as shared transport to this location. It is from 240 to 260 Rand. You can get it prebooked online via bookings @ sport24hrs.co.za which is the service I used back to the airport. I used the service at the arrivals hall counter on the way in, but I think just to the taxi stand might be the same. Pre-book is best but ask for the big red car if you have lots of baggage. Now to the Kimbo. check-in was easy even at the late night arrival I had. There was a welcome drink in the bar area. This was not punch but rather a drink with a punch if you know what I mean (wink). Speaking of the bar, the locals and visitors like to mingle and relax together and drink into the early morning. The room was fine (I got the 3-bed dorm) and he wifi also worked well. This location is central to get where you need to be. What I really likes was the breakfast and the dinner. the dinner is not free, but well worth the price. The portions are large and tasty. I had the bangers and mash several times. There is no elevator so if you are mobility challenged or just hate stairs, you might want to skip this place. For everyone else, this is a perfect place to hang your hat for several days while checking out Capetown.

Mostly good, some kinks needs ironing out”

It was a nice setting, nice room, very friendly helpful staff. Few things they should be more upfront with on Agoda, spesifically like the parking issue, (There is no free parking on premises, parking is on the street, government parking attendants charge in the week and half days saturdays.) And wifi does not extend to top rooms only second and public areas, so it would be more appropriate to advertise as wifi in public areas. But will definitely recommend this backpackers!

Value for money.”

The hotel is located in downtown just minutes away from all necessities of life. The hotel has an inhouse bar ATM. laundry and restsurant. The breakfast was delicious and fresh . Staff is attentive and cooperative. Mr Grant, the Manager ( perhaps owner too ) is a very kind and gentelman. His exceptional care for guests is praiseworthy. At least, I will always remember him and his hotel. Thank you sir.

Pleasant Surprise”

We're in between moving and relocating, so I wasn't too phased about the place we chose, as it wasn't really for a holiday. I was bowled over by the friendliness of the reception staff and all other staff I came into contact with while there. The hotel is super clean, there's an ATM, a free breakfast and arrival drinks voucher.... that wasn't expected. So incredible value for money and a great stay. Thanks guys!!! I'll definitely recommend...
