Everything about this hotel is perfect ”

I would have to say this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in all of South East Asia. I have never stayed at a hotel anywhere in the world that provides a chauffeur on call ( 15 minutes notice only ) I must congratulate all the staff & the very generous manager for assisting me with speedboat timetable etc. I paid $ 6 for a beautiful large room with 1 queen size & 1 double bed, fantastic bathroom with the best shower ( plenty of hot water ) The location is fantastic with fresh food market & any other food , beer, hats , treats , clothing , shoes & anything u may need is all right below the hotel . Easy walking distance to many other vibrant areas of Rach Gia . An added bonus is the ferry port is less than two minutes walk away. I highly recommend a couple of nights at the Kiet Hong Hotel .

Hidden GEM of a hotel”

Admittedly the quality of English (seeing as Rach Gia is more of a quiet backwater/waiting station for the boat to Phu Quoc) is not the best, but staff were the most adorably keen and helpful people. Honestly, we didn't expect much upon arrival having booked in only because we needed to wait overnight for our ferry but were wonderfully surprised. Not only was the hotel room itself huge, bright, clean and with a MASSIVE bathroom, full of free stuff but the hotel also provides each guest with six, yes SIX, free taxi rides per day. Its not even like Rach Gia is really big enough to need a taxi, but they will happily ferry you around from bar to restaurant all evening! The hotel also organised our ferry tickets for us which was fab and the reception provides a list of cool local places to eat and drink with a price indication for each and the option to book for you in advance. Protip: the food market right next door to the hotel is definitely worth a visit. It is a proper Vietnamese one so were talking live fish, chickens wandering everywhere and the most amazing looking fruit and veg you have ever seen. Prepare, as a foreigner, to be stared at however ;)

The Kiet Hong Hotel takes budget accommodation to a new level! I've never had a budget room before that included so much. There's aircon, a tea set with free tea, free drinking water and cold towels, several games, a fridge and TV, a small balcony, basic toiletries and they even offer free taxi service in town! Breakfast is not included but you can get a nice breakfast for a low price. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and there is a nice atmosphere with easy check in and check out. The hotel is located in the middle of a small market, right next to the ferry port and has nice sea views. Only thing missing is a water kettle, but you can get hot water at the front desk (delivered with a smile). Totally recommended!

Near to the ferry port”

This hotel offers so much with a great price. The free taxi service is a real helpful if you want to explore Rach Gia. Basic toiletries are prepared in the room. Our room even has a game corner and balcony. The hotel is opposite of the Rach Gia ferry port, if your next destination is to one of the islands, this is a perfect hotel. The receptionists helped us a lot and speak good English.

Amazing”

This is the perfect option for a layover before heading to Phu Quoc. The hotel is steps from the ferry, but they were so helpful during our stay that we regret not staying to explore Rach Gia for a few more days! Free taxi service around town, and a phone to call with any inquiries...not to mention spotless rooms and facilities.

I only stayed one night but could not believe how great it was. The taxi service is brilliant, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The taxi drove me to the office for the superdong ticket, then drove me into the city, then picked me up and took me to a restaurant for dinner. This place is very underrated! Stay here! Best option in Rach gia

Good stopover for those travel to Phu Quoc island”

The hotel is located nearby the market in front of the ferry terminal It is very good choice for those who stopover at Rach Gia city for Phu Quoc island. It provides quite good facilities and services, such as: free taxi trip to the central. We will definitely come back here if we have chance Very worth it for value

Service, service, service (and location)”

There's no lift and the hotel restaurant suggestions aren't that great. In the interests of balance i wanted to find something that wasn't spot on with the hotel (i was on the first floor and the restaurant was actually pretty ok) Everything else was excellent, perfect location for the ferry, lovely rooms - some overlooking the harbour, taxis into town, a viaitors guide - I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel that has put so much effort into Serving customers. Value for money”

Very pleasant, we are all surprise with this like-new hotel, very clean and have a super free taxi service to drop us in anywhere in town for a dinner or cafe. Will be back when come to Rach Gia!

Excellent”

Perfect budget hotel. Good location, even the ground floor is surrounded with local shops in a market making not a good impression at the 1st time. But after all, everything is good. Will stay here when I am back to Rach Gia again

- Kiet Hong hotel located infront of the harbor so it is very convenient for your speed boat. - This hotel has free taxi for guests who stay at hotel (the car is not new but it is good) - The room is big and clean. - It takes about 5-10 minutes to downtown by car.

Value for money close to ferry”

very simple hotel right across the ferry dock. the hotel offers free taxi service including a phone to call and order it which is very convenient. The rooms are very basic and with minimal facilities but for a one night stand in Rach Gia, and at the price offered, it's a good place

Bang for your buck!”

Kiet Hong Hotel is right next door to the pier for boats that heads to Phu Qouc island. The hotel is new and clean and is definitely worth the money. They provide great service and has extremely fast internet downloads 1-2 mbs. 10/10. Would stay again.

Great Deal for the Buck!”

Yep, Kiet Hong is a good bang for the buck. It's conveniently located next to the dock, where high-speed boats go-back-and-forth to and from Phu Quoc islands. There's also an open market, sitting below the hotel, that sells everything travelers might need. I highly recommend Kiet Hong.

the best location by the ferry ”

I had to spend the night at Rach Gia to take the ferry to Phu Quoc the next morning and for those purposes the location of this hotel is perfect, 100 mt away from the ferry. If your plan is to enjoy the city it may be a bit far from the center. However, the staff arranges a free taxi service to take you for dinner and to pick you up, which was very useful! They don't speak a lot of English but they do their best to understand your requests and to help. I recommend it!

large room, clean. quiet staff very friendly, helpful on Ragh Gia restaurants ! free taxi facilities (they drove us to an excellent sea food restaurant, 3km south . they give you a small phone to contact them for way back)

Convenient located for ferry to Phu Quoc”

We spent the night in Rach Gia to take the morning ferry to Phu Quoc. The hotel is very close to the pier which is convenient. The hotel offers a free bring/pick up service through town. You need to go to town for food and drinks as the hotel does not have any facilities for this.
