An ok hostel in a convenient location”

Our stay at the Khoi hostel was fine. The location is excellent, we walked to all the main attractions. The couple of issues we had were quite a few of the staff did not really speak enough english to help with the questions we had during our stay, which made it a bit difficult. We also had breakfast included but the included breakfast was only bread and jam which was a shame as other hostels we stayed in during our trip gave some choice. We also had a top floor room which we thought would be quiet but the driers being next door meant we had two extremely poor nights' sleep. This is partly not the hostel's fault as Ho Chi Minh city is a very noisy city and the background noise didn't help, but the fact that the hostel staff didn't know how to switch the driers off was not useful! So overall a perfectly ok hostel but not one of our best experiences whilst away.

Cosy Hostel, Friendly Caring Staff”

I enjoyed my stay at Khoi Hostel, as soon as I arrived I felt home and knew I would stay here for my entire stay in hcmc. The staff is superfriendly and very helpful. They care about their clients. I stayed in the dorm (a/c), which was a spacious room with 8 beds and for each bed a large personal locker. The room gets cleaned rvery morning and every day they make yur bed and give you a clean towel. The beds were comfortable and the wifi in the room worked pretty well (for skyping it wasnt great though). The location of the hostel was great, in backpackers district but in a small (safe) alley so it was quiet. Nearby there was a local market and street food stalls (delicious sushi on the corner to your left). Through the hostel you can arrange tours and busses and you can be sure they won't overcharge you. You can ask the friendly folk anything.

I stayed for 5 nights at Khoi and had a lovely experience. The staff are super friendly, very helpful with maps and directions and advice. My private room (302) on the top floor was bright and comfortable, cleaned every day, supplied with fresh towels and soap. The common bathroom was always spotless. At breakfast, I noticed some guests seemed disappointed with the choices, but for me, it was excellent. To drink, a choice of tea or coffee, and to eat, option of bread+jam or a second cooked item which changed every day. While I was there included pho, omelette, fried noodles, and bread+ham. The hostel is down a quiet alley right next to a local fruit and vegetable market. There's a great coffee shop on the main street (Tabac) and walking distance from everything you might need.

Great budget hostel”

The Khoi hostel has a great location, good pricing, comfortable bed, ac in room, the free breakfast was decent nothing extraordinary but it’s free, overall we had good stay here and would stay again

A great stay”

I had an absolutely marvelous stay at Khoi. I met great people (which was presumably incidental, but still), and was amazed with the quality of the hostel: very friendly staff, good breakfasts, and spotless dorms.

Oasis In the hustle of Ho chi”

We were greeted by the lovely staff members upon arrival with a glass of iced tea and fruit. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the hostel and it was refreshing to see. The toilets had soap which is sometimes rare to see in a backpacker and the rooms where the cleanest I had seen in vietnam. The location was great and the staff have plenty of tours which they will happily arrange. We also checked in at 10am and it was not a problem. We will be back :)

Unexpectedly good!”

The beds were clean and comfortable and rooms were cleaned carefully after each night. Other than a toilet/shower room in the dorm, there is one more common toilet/shower on each floor which is certainly very helpful in the mornings! Rooms were quiet as they do not face any traffic. Also, the location is great for me because it is right smack on the edge of a market, which makes getting good local food for breakfast really convenient. Also, kudos to the helpful staff who not only dispense advice on staying safe, but also provide maps and recommendations for exploring the city. Thumbs up!

Acceptable”

Would advise that no one ventures into this hostel when they visit Ho chi Minh City. The staff is straight up rude and they shout at customers as if they're doing everyone a favor by letting them stay at their property. Never have I seen such behavior from any hostel staff. They totally make you feel unwelcome. Big thumbs down!!

Enjoyable stay”

Hostel was very clean and we were well looked after. The advert on booking did state self catering facilities however this was not the case, we asked staff for hot water but felt it was an inconvenience to them. On the whole staff were very friendly and helpful.

A single room at 10usd is a deal however it has no window. The a.c. works fine. The bathroom door is broken and it doesn't close.

Great location down a wee alley where most other hostels are. Staff were friendly and helpful on front desk and breakfast was ok (choose between a pancake or baguette with eggs). There were a lot of little ants in the room so not the cleanest and there was no social common area like bar or anything which we were a bit disappointed with. Overall not bad

Dirty”

We stayed in a mixed dorm at the second floor, the room was dirty, with bottle of beer half empty, chips packet on the floor. The bathroom when we arrived in the afternoon was terribly dirty, the next morning was disgusting. At the end we used the one at the third floor, it was a bit better. Overrated hostel.

Don't trust any review which was rated this one above 6.0. It s not affordable or excellent as it is shown on Agoda. The Hostel is placed in small dirty alley. The room is totally different from the photos, humble, hot and humid (air-con didn't work). Small bathroom, no motorbike parking.
