Charming, Beautiful & Felt Like Home!”

We were truly blown away with just how lovely the hotel and staff were! When we arrived check in was easy, we were there early and as the room wasn't ready they let us leave our bags as we explored the city to get some food. The location is great, right around the corner from a busier backpacker street full of restaurants and bars, but far enough away not to be disturbed by the noise. After getting food and returning our bags had already been taken up to our room which we were then shown to and it was lovely. A big double bed, nice bathroom/washroom and enough space to comfortably leave bags without feeling too cluttered. We initially only booked 1 night however quickly booked a second night as we liked it so much. The breakfast in the morning was great, we had fresh vietnamese iced coffee which is incredible, plus scrambled eggs and bacon with great crusty bread. We ended up booking a 2 day tour of the Mekong delta which had an overnight stay and returned back to Ho Chi Minh. As we had a few more days left we ended up booking another 3 nights at Hello Hotel, and when we went on the trip they let us leave our suitcases so we didn't have to haul them around on the trip which made our life so much easier. Moving off from here we were heading up to Phnom Penh in Cambodia and were able to book the bus from the hotel which came and collected us in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble and even when my bracelet exploded and beads went everywhere, I helped pick them up and said to throw it away however one of the staff got it fixed and presented it to me in the morning! We were truly overwhelmed by how friendly and caring the staff were, they really made our stay feel like a home and we were sad to say goodbye. If your looking to stay in Ho Chi Minh then Hello Hotel should be your choice, THANK YOU!

Bargain for your money”

Though it is located in an alleyway, this hotel is worth the effort to find on your travels to Ho Chi Minh City. Located in district 1, it is a small hotel with a great staff. English is no problem and the staff is always eager to help the first time traveler to Ho Chi Minh. Rooms are kept clean and the price can't be beat. The hotel takes some effort to find since it is not on the main street. What it lacks in location, it makes up in friendliness and a staff that is eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible. It is located near a lot of night spots. Plenty of activity for the day traveler or one who is planning a longer visit. It is definitely worth giving this little hotel a try.

Quaint hotel and wonderful service”

we were two female travellers. the staff at the hotel were mostly female too, so we felt very at ease at the place. moreover, they always greeted any customers with a smile. they were very helpful, and even went beyond their call of duty such as offering us a shower even after check out and holding our things in their storage room when we went out for a short trip. when inquiring about local attractions, the staff gave us a detailed overview of ho chi minh city with even photos from her laptop to give us a visual image. breakfast was served with many choices of food and beverage to choose from. fruit was also included in the meal. the receptionist especially was very kind and bubbly. we had small talk regarding our countries, vietnam and singapore. all in all, do stay at the hello hotel, perhaps you'll find this a safe haven among all the scheming tourist traps you'll find in the city.

Love this place”

I really love the Hello Hotel. I currently live in the countryside outside of Ho Chi Minh City, so I come in to stay for weekends fairly often. Whenever I do, I stay at the Hello Hotel. Hien and her staff run a friendly, clean hotel at a very reasonable price. Hien is also obsessed with making her hotel as comfortable as possible. I mentioned in an earlier review that the mattresses were a little firm and the next time I came in she told me that she had ordered new mattresses. Seriously. I almost wish that I could keep this place a secret so I wouldn't have to book in advance, but it's too good not to share.

Great little hotel with friendly staff”

We've stayed in the Hello Hotel earlier this year and knew if we ever came back to Ho Chi Minh City we'd stay there again. It's very close to all the excitement of the backpacker's district but is down a quiet little alley so not loud at all. The rooms are modern and spotless, the staff is fantastic and super friendly, the free breakfast is simple but good-- all for a better price than nearby hotels. We highly recommend this place!

Very nice stay in central Ho Chi Minh”

At our start of our trip through Vietnam we stayed in Hello hotel, wich was way above the average price/quality level of our other hotels in the rest of the country. So we decided to book the Hotel for another 2 nights before heading back home. The facilities are all working fine, the breakfast was fresh and tasty and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked two tours via the Hotel wich were great and for a fair price if you compare it to others who booked the same tour. The hotel lays in a very central part of town where a lot of bars and restaurant are, but its in an alley so the noise of the (mad) traffic in Ho Chi Minh won't bother you here. + its got a great (but small) terras on the top floor where you can really relax after a day of sightseeing.

this isn't the cheapest option in ho chi minh, but still great deal. room is amazingly clean. service was very friendly. location is great. staff's recommendation on restaurants were really helpful. wifi was sometimes down, but it was vey fast when it's working. we used a couple of hotels in ho chi minh, but i liked this place the best.

Worth for money”

It was an awesome time for me in Ho Chi Minh city. Hotel staff helped me a lot in everything such as motorcycle rental, direction, breakfast, good place suggestions... etc I'd like to thanks them very much for everything. Hello hotel is such a heaven place in Ho Chi Minh City. Book it with no doubt!

Highly Recommended”

Having lived in HCMC for three years in another area I decided to try my luck. What a great hotel, well cared for with lovely rooms. The staff were the best and I cannot find anything to complain about. TV and WiFi were up to top rated standards, and the bed was hard to leave. A completely surprising experience. The best value for money hotel I have ever been in - and I have stayed in hundreds of hotels. I thank all the staff for making the visit such a pleasure. I will be back there soon, The Hello Hotel is now my first choice in Ho Chi Minh.

Nice central hotel”

I was only in Ho Chi Minh for a short time. This hotel was perfect as it was central. The room was very clean, nicer than most of the other places I had stayed. My room had a very tiny window which wasn't ideal but wasn't really an issue either. I found that booking a tour through the hotel was more expensive than going to a local agent. Also they forgot to give me back my passport (which I forgot they had) but luckily they realised and chased me to return it. No complaints really, I was overall very happy with it.

Fresh, Modern, Good Value”

Positives: Great breakfast, lovely modern decor, good value, central location, easy to bus and backpacker area, very helpful reception staff, lovely, pleasant common area. We shopped around for our last night in Ho Chi Minh and this place was the one I chose after looking at many others. Negatives: WiFi didn't work on android in room but worked on laptop. Poor ventilation in bathroom, bathroom modern and fresh but shower wet whole room. Toilet paper not permitted down toilet.

my 3 nights in HCMC”

I booked Hello House on the basis of the Reviews i read.i have to say i fully understand why customers rated this hotel so highly.Yes it isnt the easiest to find but once there its a great location and in easy reach of everywhere in District 1. It was unfortunate and beyond the Hotels control that on 2 mornings out of the 3 i was there incessant drilling and hammering next door began at 7.45 rendering sleep impossible.it also on my middle full day continued till 5 pm. The Staff were great.Nothing was too much trouble.My room was comfortable and well appointed.The breakfast choice was fine.At 71 the staircase to my room at the top was a bit tough on a regular basis,but i was aware there was no lift so no issue. Overall excellent value for money and i will certainly return.

Basic Hotel with Nice Service”

Hello Hotel is a basic Hotel located in a quite side street near the backpacker area. Only 5-10 minute walk to major restaurants and bars. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a bit small, but good for the price. Only complaint was that the room had window, but hotel is right next to another building so no sunlight came into my room. Overall my stay was pleasant and nice place to stay for two nights in Ho Chi Minh City.

our favourite city hotel in asia”

we had 2 nights here with the idea of seeing if wanted to stay for more, straight away booked 4 more nights. the main lady was lovely and very helpful. the rooms were what you would expect in a city hotel size wise. it was new and was kept very clean which is important for us. everything worked like it should including hot water, the tv's, full wifi signal in the rooms and the breakfast was decent. we have stayed in lots of city hotels and this was by far the best especially considering the price, would definatly stay here again. just make sure you right down the address and name and aggree a price up front with a taxi driver to get u here as its off a main road and a new hotel they might struggle to find it

Nice hotel in a good location”

We stayed four nights. The guesthouse offers good value for money and is centrally located. The room was clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We did two trips (1-day Mekong tour and half-day Cu Chi tunnels), both with TNK Travel booked by the hotel and were satisfied. Also, the breakfast was very good. At night, we were at The Cheeky Monkey bar which is only a 3-5 walk away. They have a fantastic live band evey night and very reasonable beer prices and is definetely the much better choice rather than all the other overpriced tourist rip-off bars around Pham Ngu Lao/Bui Vien! We would go there again on our next visit and can recommend this guesthouse.

Cute, clean, new hotel - great location & service”

This was a great hotel, right in the heart of Pham Ngu Lao district but down a little alley so it wasn't loud at all. Hotel seems brand new and spotless. Rooms were good sized and very comfortable and the staff was fantastic-- when we arrived they had run out of standard rooms (even though we had pre- booked ours through Agoda) so they upgraded us to a deluxe for free. When we decided last-minute we wanted to stay another night, they were unfortunately full but one of the girls walked us over to their sister hotel (Hotel 168) just down the alley and got us an equivalent room there for the same discounted price. They even told us to come back to their hotel the next morning so we could still get the free breakfast. If I am ever back in Saigon, this will be the hotel I will stay at.

One night only”

Its good if you want the night life of Bui Vien but in a quieter spot Khoi 2 works. It's near food (who isn't in HCMC!) and key for me - the #109, 20K dong, bus to the airport that leaves hourly just across the street (3 min walk). I would go back for sure! Front desk ladies were super helpful with a permanent, sincere smile :)

Perfect! A welcome break from Saigons craziness”

Nestled in a cute alley just of Pham Ngu Lao, in the heart of Saigon's District 1, this cute hotel has it all, good prices, lovely amenites, comfortable beds, clean rooms and friendly staff. whilst being a 2 minute walk from all the popular bars and restaurants, the alley itself is quaint and quite, a lovely place to start and end your day. I thoroughly recommend it to all whether passing through or planning a longer stay.
