Fantastic resort with delightful staff! ”

Our stay at Kandaya Resort could not have been any better. At first we were concerned that the resort was too far from Cebu City but it turned out to be amazing. The resort offers all kinds of activities such as snorkeling, boxing, kayaking and even island hopping. We were there for seven days but we never ran out of things to do. The food at the resort was amazing with exceptional fresh smoothies. The staff are very kind and friendly which made our stay at the resort even more memorable. We are definitely coming back!

Exceptional Customer Service || Worth to Stay”

My husband and I celebrated our 2nd Wedding Anniversary here. Though the location is far from Cebu City, but you can't feel any stress coz you will surely love the view all the way to Kandaya. We took videos as we entered the vicinity because it is amazing to look at. Outside the lobby area, hotel staffs welcomed us. They offered help to park our car and someone also put our luggage in the Golf Cart. The receptionist then gave us buko juice and towels. What surprise me the most is that they upgraded our DELUXE ROOM to GARDEN VILLA for free. Until now, I can't forget the overall experience that we had. It really is true that it is worth to stay in KANDAYA. Thanks Kandaya for making our ANNIVERSARY a memorable one!!!

Perfect for some R&R”

Situated on the northern tip of the island of Cebu, Kandaya Resort is perfect if you're sporting for some quality time off from the hustle and bustle of the city. The four hour drive from the city centre was really worth it upon seeing the beauty and grandeur of this place. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. Welcome drinks and smiles greeted us as we stepped out from the car. Luckily, we were upgraded from deluxe room to garden villa, which was quite a surprise. The food was delicious though lacks variety, because they only have one restaurant here. So, imagine if you stay for a couple of nights, you only get to choose from the same menu. Anyway, enough said, the pool was great, the beach was not so impressive but manageable for a swim on a good tide. The resort also offers daily activities to suit your interest/preference. Worth the visit!

Secluded & Relaxing”

The resort is gorgeous! We got upgraded to a garden villa and the room was very well appointed. The whole property was furnished with Dedon furnitures and fine wood. Just beautiful! It is so far from Cebu, the main hub though and there is nothing within miles. I think it would be better if the resort had more activities to offer, especially for kids. There are so many fabulous resorts within Cebu that there should be better and unique offerings at Kandaya so it can be well worth the drive. Except for the pony ride, you can get a similar experience in a high end resort closer to the city, in Mactan where there are wonderful 5-star resorts at the same price range. However, if you are looking for exclusivity, Kandaya is definitely your getaway! It was like having our own private beach house with attentive staff.

PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX IN CEBU”

I love this place for quick escapes from City life. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. Food we ordered was very good with fair prices. Breakfast was not buffet BUT we could not even finish the food they served us (1 Breakfast plate with 1 side dish and Coffee/Juice). Free Nespresso Coffee on all rooms (Coffee lovers dream). We celebrated our Anniversary in Kandaya and they surprised us with an Anniversary CAKE during dinner (The cake was delicious)!!! Our stay was PERFECT! We would definitely come back for more down time. Thank you Kandaya Resort.

Heaven”

We already went to Kandaya Resort twice and both experience were really amazing, the room is so big, the gym is superb, the pool and beach are so clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We had free fruit platter when we arrived in our room. The general manger himself was so friendly, and he made sure that his guests were having a great time there. The kids love the pony ride too. All I can say is i would definitely go back to Kandaya when our budget allows.

Best hotel experience ever ”

We were upgraded to Pool villa, and stayed 3 days at Kandaya. This was our best hotel experience ever. Beautiful resort with great facilities. Food was perfect and staff very helpful. Location is secluded with not many activities to do, but this is probably the best place to relax at Daanbantayan!

The location of Kandaya is no doubt somewhere one would choose to stay longer than a couple nights, hours traffic from Mactan airport was no joke. this time I stayed 3nights at Kandaya. Nice bed, comfortable linen, dustless room, cookies served daily, good food both those comes complimentary and ordered. Just the third night there was a party with heavy music continued until 1am, with earplugs the bass buzzed last. But still a very nice resort in all perspectives, and will visit again surely. I've read some comments about complimentary breakfast being not so satisfying? tips: the food on the right side of the menu tastes better ;P

Nice Resort”

Located in Daanbantayan a bit far from the city of Cebu. Spent the holiday in this resort. Very relaxing not crowded. Their service is good. The food is too expensive for the quality and taste! The price of the food is not a problem if the food is really good. The room is big, clean and complete amenities. The only problem with the room is that the sunlight from the toilet will wake you up in the morning.

Privacy at its best”

Kandaya Resort is one gem of a resort in the Cebu province. Rooms are top of the line and the service is perfect. All the facilities were nice and clean and kept simple yet useful! Would definitely recommend. Not to mention the food was all great with very generous servings.

one of the best places to be”

absolute one of the best (if not THE best) resort we have stayed here in cebu. we stayed in the garden pool villa. big garden, private (small) swimming pool, fenced. the only disadvantage is the distance to cebu city and for international travelers the distance to the airport. we live in metro cebu, so for us it is just a drive by our own car. tourist will be picked up by the hotel. actually i would not know what else could be a disadvantage for this resort. the rooms/villas are very nice, the staff is very friendly and helpful, the food is good. it is not one of the cheapest resorts at cebu island but for sure it is value for money. would like to go back there again. enjoyed our stay VERY much.

Stunning resort perfect for a relaxing, romantic getaway”

Positives: - The hotel is in an absolutely stunning location. It has it's own stretch of beach as well as a pool right on the beach - The rooms were large and well equipped and the balcony was huge. Make sure you ask for a room with a sea view! - The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much of a bother for them - The spa facilities were excellent too and added to the relaxing nature of the resort - There was also plenty to keep one entertained on the resort, from paddle board and kayaking to table tennis, pool, gym, volleyball as well as day trips - there's certainly enough to do here for a good 5/6 day trip - The seafood market on Saturday night was also excellent. We were able to choose from various options of fish and shellfish laid out in front of us which had been caught fresh that day - it was so tasty! - Fritz (the General Manager) personally introduced himself to us which was a very personal touch and is certainly not done in comparative resorts (e.g. Shangri-La) - Will definitely be coming back! Negatives: - A long journey from Cebu airport, although it's worth it when you arrive! - Restaurant could have one or two more options e.g. daily specials as it can get repetitive eating there three times a day

Perfect destination for a relaxing getaway”

Such a great resort! We had an absolutely perfect stay and would definitely choose the resort again next time in Cebu. The resort is quite far, 2-3 hour drive from Cebu City, and almost isolated from everything else, so perfect for relaxing and taking time off from everyday life. We stayed in a beautiful villa, clean and spacious, and the resort offers all kinds of facilities and activities from well-equipped gym to kayaking and paddle boarding. The staff is amazing and they really made us feel welcomed. The hotel restaurant is very nice and food varies from Filipino cuisine to steaks and burgers. There are plenty of vegetarian or other healthy options as well. The bar has great selection of fresh juices and cocktails. Even though we had a bit of bad luck with the weather during our 4-night-stay, I felt completely relaxed leaving the resort. Thank you!

it was really an awesome stay at kandaya, the staff wa very friendly and accomodating, also they make sure to go beyond miles with their task. I had a blast spending my birthday in the resort. There was minor fix on the exteriors of the place, and they have given a notification in advance. The Kusina staff was very kind enough to sing me a happy birthday and gave me a complimentary cake. I had so much fun and will surely visit the place again if given the chance.

A resort that takes Filipino hospitality to another level! Everyone—from reception, to bellboys, gardeners, servers, guards— made us feel welcome and that they were all happy to have us. It was out wedding anniv and prior arriving, I asked about dinner reservations. I didn’t know that they took note already that we were there for a special celebration and true enough, when we got there, they greeted us and even got us a surprise cake! They all made our anniv more special. Thank you very much, Kandaya. Kudos to all of your personnel! Special mention to the kind woman in-charge at the resto, (I forgot her name—tall, pretty, tagalog-speaking), she made sure that we were well-attended to and I’m sure she was behind that special cake. :) Thanks, again!

Kandaya resort with mixed feelings. ”

I have mixed feelings about our stay in Kandaya Resort in the far north of Cebu. I am sure it will please many guests, but it will depend what you are looking for. The design and decoration of the rooms are unique, really wow when you enter, also the amenities are high standard. But the central aircon was noisy and could not handle the humidity in our room. The pool area is also very nice qua design and has space enough for privacy. The sandy area in the front is artificially made, no trees, no parasols, no shade, no atmosphere! In front of the villas with private pool is a more natural sandy beach with trees and sun beds, but it’s not advisable to swim in the sea, your feet really stuck in the mud!! The interior of the restaurant is strange, no cosy atmosphere, but they serve good food and the staff was very friendly. As the roomprice is of same level of 5* resorts in Mactan, I would not drive so far, or for a better vacation continue to the island atmosphere of Malapascua.

Wonderful”

The perfect get away for those that want to “get away”. A resort well off the beaten path where it can feel at times you are the only guest present, being tended to by dozens of staff. Even if this place is at max capacity, because there are only about 20 rooms and a dozen or so villas, you end up getting a 5 star experience few similar caliber resorts can offer. I love Kandaya and will be back.

The resort is at the north end of Cebu Island (3h transfer from Cebu Airport) Some spot, like waterfalls etc. are rather in the south of the Island. But there's the famous Malapascua Island just 30min by boat away, which is a gorgeous place for divers and also snorkeling. Everything in the hotel was perfect for us. It is quiet, has good food, facilities are tip top and the staff's friendliness is second to none! You should not go there, if you are looking for party or dining outside the resort, as there's just nothing within an hour drive.

JUST A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO STAY”

This resort is just out of Bantayan in the north of Cebu. Drive from Cebu is easy and just three hours away if you stop for lunch along the way. On arrival the security was sure to be sure we were registered to be a guest and the reception to say thje least was just a breeze The room was large, comfortable and very clean and the terrace was large and overlooking the gardens and the fish in the ponds below. (Don't tell anyone but I fed the fish a little bit of the biscuit they leave in our room each day to enjoy with our coffee or tea) The restaurant was very nice and the service was next to perfect. Let's face it we are all human and we do make little mistakes. Food was great and the menu was quite extensive. Breakfast was a dream just sitting in the restaurant looking at the ocean and being served great food by ice restaurant staff who would do (almost) anything you asked. Our dog, YES our dog was allowed to stay and she absolutely loved the place. GO THERE you will not regret

Best I have seen in Philippines”

I have stayed here on numerous occasions. i will succeed and a number of other 4 and 5 star resorts elsewhere in the country. Kandaya is my favorite. They continually work to keep everything well maintained, which it turns out is a rarity even among luxury resorts.
