Great two day stay at K77 Guest House”
My two days at the the K77 Guest House were very nice. The owners are very kind and my room and the common areas were clean and tidy. One day, as I waited for my ride, I sat outside and talked with Lola, one of the owners, and watched her children play with their new kitten, Blackie. It was a wonderful and enjoyable experience. If I return to Medan, I will happily stay again at K77 Guest house.

Nice short stay”
My stay was very pleasant. I was transiting in Medan between Lake Toba and my flight back to Bkk. I had some nice rest at K77 Guest House and a good sleep in between trips.

nice guesthouse and friendly owners”
Whatsapped Johan & Lola before I arrived and they told me the way to get to the guesthouse: damri bus towards Carrefour, stop at Taman makam pahlawan. then take becak (10mins) or walk (30mins). welcome by Lola and a welcome drink in the hot weather (: Was also offered the bicycle to cycle to explore the city centre. There's nice nasi padang at the main road not far away from the guesthouse. They also helped to confirm the price of ojek and said "ya that's the correct price". Dormitory is not the usual bunk bed but u get your own single bed sharing a room with others. The owners just live in the ground floor with you. Very homely guesthouse. Asked Johan why K77? he said 77 is his birth year and K is lucky alphabet.

Amazing, friendly hostel in Medan”
The owner and her children were so lovely and helpful, rooms are clean and cool and there are loads of added extras like free water, tea, maps etc. It's a short walk to an Indomart and plenty of warungs, and they offer cheap car services to the airport etc too. Would definitely recommend staying here for a stopover in Medan.

Clean, friendly hosts, comfy AC”
Great little guesthouse. Owners are very nice and helpful. Immaculately clean. Great mi goreng and nasi goreng. I was on at the end of my trip and just wanted to stay in AC and read, but seems like about as good a place to meet other backpackers as you'll find in Medan if you just got in and are on your way to Bukit Lawang, Lake Toba, Banda Aceh, etc.

Lovely owners and impeccably clean”
We only stayed at K77 for one night but it was lovely. Lola is very sweet and incredibly helpful, especially with onward travel to Bukit Lawang. The location means it is far from the airport (over 1 hour in a taxi) but there is a lot in the area once you are there such as food, ATMs etc. The place was also very clean and the aircon good. Would come back again!

A nice welcoming family”
I was received very cordially, the owners, a small family, were very friendly and helping. The house is super clean and the room comfortable. Nearby the guesthouse are many cheap opportunities to eat. If you are a light sleeper, you better bring ear plugs with you, as the guesthouse is near to a mosque.

Great Hostel for a night”
I was traveling with a group 6, we had 3 rooms which were clean and spacious. Breakfast was really nice and the staff was super friendly. The mosque was (really!) loud, but next to that everything was perfect.

Helpful owner with lovely children”
had a good time with Johan and Lola's children, love them so much. The room and the shared bathroom is very clean and tidy. Johan provided me a lot of useful info on my trips. I had a really good time here.

Very loud mosque across the street”
The staff were great and the rooms clean but I wasn't able to sleep even with ear plugs in. There's a mosque across the street that starts at 5am and goes for about 45 minutes. I was in the room closest to the Mosque and unfortunately it's really loud in the room.

We where very jetlagged and spend most our time in our room but the owner and his wife are real hospital. Overall great experience worth the rating for the money!

Very friendly staff! They suggested us to change breakfast for dinner since we were leaving early in the morning. The food is home-made, and adapted to European stomachs. Everything is new and clean. Highly recommended!

Just a overbight stay snf itvwas oj but no hot shower! Information by the staff was good except no toiket on the bus to parapat! Location not safe to walk ariund at night! Very cheap local places to shop!
