"If you're in Davao City and want to spend quality time and need a place to stay that you will enjoy the atmosphere of the local people, Waterfront Insular Hotel is the place to be. I totally love the ambiance inside the hotel, it was really relaxing as if you want to stay here forever. On the negative side, the nonavailability of WIFI in each room in the hotel. So far you can only connect if you're outside the room. But overall my experienced was really great specially at breakfast time, I love the food, I hope they can showcase more the taste of local food in Davao as well. The staff were great and scenery is fantastic. Next time I visit Davao City, I will surely stay here again."

"every time i visit davao city, i always stay at the marco polo davao hotel. i believe this is the only 5 star hotel in davao city. although it is over 10 years already but the hotel is well maintained and looks new. location is the key because it is situated in the city centre. only few blocks of walking and you are right in the chinatown area. the ateneo de davao university is just across the street. and there are stalls that sells everything from indonesia-malaysian fashion wears and accessories located across the hotel."

"Wendy was very helpful. She referred us to a reliable motorcycle rental service, she pointed us to the good beaches and attractions, and she made sure our stay was pleasant as possible. The place was also amazing. While we had difficulty finding it at first, our host was able to guide us with proper directions. The place was quiet and serene. Its distance from the beaches gives one the opportunity to get around the island more. All in all, it's a great place. "

"The resort was very nice, especially the food, which was delicious, lami, masarap. However, at the time of our booking the food options were not clear on agoda. We opted to pay for meals there rather than all-inclusive package. The confusion on agoda's site was whether all meals were included or only breakfast. We found it very expensive to pay as we went, however the portion was very large and we split a lunch and dinner which was more than enough. The resort worked with us on that. The room was very nice with an interesting inside/outside bathroom. The room was tested that night as it rained very hard but the room was fine. A potential problem for those going for romance is that all rooms surrounded the long pool. There was at least one family there during our one night/day stay and kids were up and in the pool early and not quiet :) "
