Easy peasy comfy stay”
Fab location, right opposite the lake. Lovely shared facilities which were kept clean and tidy. Staff really helpful too. The room was perfect for our overnight stay. The en-suite was clean and the shower was strong. Bed was really comfy and we slept well, especially after Roy’s Peak! Thank you.

Couldn’t hear Fire alarm from our room”
We got our double room with private bathroom. And we couldn’t hear fire alarm from our room, we were just waken up by fireman and gathered at assemble point but luckily it’s nth happened. We couldn’t imagine if there’s fire n we can’t hear fire alarm. YHA Wanaka should double check on it!

The room and facility was basic but good value for money for short stay. Very lively and good place to meet other travelers. Short walk to the lake and shops. Clean and comfortable

Good option for Wanaka. The night clerk was the worst tho. He was telling some guys about things to do, and I was standing there trying to check in for about fifteen minutes. I finally had to interrupt and insist he check me in, so that I could get food before everything closed.

Reception staffs were very helpful and friendly. Parking available in front of their hostel and on the opposite road. Room was simple, clean and exact to the photos shown. Was staying beside the common toilet area and therefore able to hear door closures through the partition walls. Place was generally quiet after 10pm. Nonetheless had a good night stay at YHA.

Location is great. I stayed in a 3-bed dorm with a shared bathroom and toilet in the room. Other than that there are shared toilets in case it is occupied. Staff is friendly and the kitchen and dining room are amazingly spacious. All are clean. Nothing is bad here.

We got private room with bathroom back wall against kitchen front opposite anyone toilet We could hear everyone open-close door all night . I think room No. 4 it so terrible
