Great New Hotel”
Ixora hotel is a new hotel in Perai. Although it is not situated in Penang Island itself but it is very near Penang Bridge, thus not a huge problem if one needs to travel to Penang Island. The hotel also situated next to a shopping mall & within 2 minutes walking distance. Thus easy to get food & neccesities. A good choice for business travellers.

Great alternative ”
If on business in Butterworth / Penang, where usually the larger industrial corporations are located, Ixora is one of the recommendable hotels in Butterworth. It is easy accessible if you drive from KL, close to the highway exit. Located beside local Mega Mal / Pacific Mall, which are not necessarily what you expect (older version of Malaysian shopping mall - but a 5 to 10 minutes drive from Ixora hotel you can reach Sunway Carnival Mall which is todays standard. In my opinion Ixora is definitely an excellent alternative The rooms in Ixora are large, bathroom has all necessary amenities, WiFi in the room is available and throughout the hotel, all in all a comfortable place to rest after a hard days work. Din't have the time, though, to check out the fitness centre. The place itself is only a few years old, has a lounge as well as a restaurant / coffee house, which also caters for outside dining on a terrace (smokers will appreciate that). Check-in as well as check-out was quite efficient and fast; staff overall performance is very good, english language no problem, all of them attentive and very friendly. In-house carpark is provided (and no extra charge). Would say, I will be back again.

Ixora hotel is always my first choice whenever i reach penang. This is my 4th visit. Hotel is near to megamall penang. Parking is ample. Polite front desk staff. Spacious room. One special thing is this hotel provided each room with a cell phone called handy. Handy make easier for guest to find attractions near hotel ant this handy can be use outside the hotel! Great stay. I just love it.

Hidden Gem”
The hotel is located in Penang mainland in the area Seberang Jaya. Location is superb because it is near to a shopping mall, near to Penang bridge so access to Island is not a problem. Room and Toilet is very spacious, clean and well maintained. Each room is also equipped with a handy Smartphone where you can use it during your stay for free. The smartphone comes with unlimited local calls and nationwide calls and unlimited data connection so it is very useful especially to tourist who wants to limit their roaming fees. Breakfast is marvellous and the spread is superb and tasty. We really enjoyed the buffet. Overall, I really recommend this hotel!!

We were expecting small room as like most hotel in penang but ixora is far better than equivalent value hotels on island. Good facilities, clean and simple but comfortable room. Overall I wouldn’t mind staying in sbrang perai when visiting penang.

Great New Hotel in Butterworth”
This is another new hotel within Perai (mainland portion of Penang State). The hotel is situation in the middle of industrial district thus it is very suitable & convenient for business travellers. The fact that the hotel is just beside a shopping mall, this makes a lot of things easier. The mall is a everyday departmental store scale. It is convenient for family shopping. The other main attraction is the breakfast in this hotel is great, must try!

Have been staying at Ixora the second time. The hotel is relatively new and easy to reach from the North-South highway, close to the highway exit. Carpark (free) is provided in-house. Check-in as well as check-out was quite fast and efficient. The staff in this hotel is going the extra mile, they are attentive, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are quite large with all the necessary amenities, also in the bathroom. As for the beds you can choose twin or king size. They even have a smoking floor. Cleanliness is perfect, bed is comfortable, WiFi in the room is excellent, sometimes a bit slow, though. Lounge ad restaurant / coffee house are available, menu is the usual mix of local and international dishes. Breakfast is great, huge variety of dishes to choose from. One can also eat / dine outside on their terrace, which will be appreciated by smokers. This hotel is just beside MegaMall / Pacific Mall - but these are real old style Malaysian malls, if you want to visit a shopping mall, which is the usual standard of today it is only a short drive (5 to 10 minutes) to Sunway Carnival mall (near Sunway hotel). Access from Ixora to Prai as well as to Penang island is quite fast and easy since it is located at one of the main roads in Butterworth. Definitely a place which I will choose again.

Had a one night stay during my recent business trip. Everyone was saying that this is the best hotel they had ever stay of all the business trips we travelled around Malaysia. Back to this hotel, I would say the location is quite strategic and there is a shopping mall beside this hotel. This hotel is quite near to Penang bridge so if you opt to travel to the island for a visit is definitely not a major issue but provided you must have a car to travel around to try the local food. Hotel room is spacious, clean, modern, air-conditioner is very cooling, touch and go security to access to the rooms, free wifi provided, security box, breakfast was good and comparable to Cititel Penang and Bayview Hotel in the island. This hotel is a much better choice for both business or family vacation as compare to the opposite road Pearl View Hotel which is a nightmare for me.

As usual, Ixora hotel is a good hotel for business traveller. This is mainly due to its strategic location near to both commercial and industrial district. The hotel is also located just beside highway makes it easy to locate. The other great thing is the spacious hotel room. Their breakfast is also very good. The staffs are friendly and helpful.

i went to penang & checked in ixora hotel with my family for a leisure trip. this hotel is still very brand new which just soft launch a months or two ago. as stated on the website this is actually a four-star hotel but pretty much looks like a 3 star hotel service because the lady who check us in doesn't seems to be smiling or very welcoming. room does "wow" us for a bit because for a 4-star hotel, the rain-shower isn't too bad. rain-shower actually have a certain limit for its hot water like 10 minutes, and after that the hot water will soon become cold water. i think maybe this is because they are limiting the heater for electrical issues? the bed is comfortable but the pillow is way too soft for a good sleep. air-cond is working as it should be and the room also equipped with lcd tv but limited channel are given. complimentary internet / wireless works but it is very very slow on certain time, maybe because a lot of guests are downloading? (but its free, so its all good). nearby to the hotel, there is a shopping complex called "megamall penang" which have mcdonalds & kfc. not to forget about their breakfast for 2 person, no one actually checking us prior going into their breakfast lounge, maybe because this hotel is still new and they are still getting things up. i've seen a family bringing a lot of children going into for breakfast without being checked. overall, this is a good hotel but doesn't belong to 4-star hotel (more towards to a 3-star hotel). if you are fancy for those 4-star hotel facility or service then this hotel definitely doesn't suit you!

I am very impressed with the service of all Ixora staff - first class with a genuine heart! Upon arrival, the front desk lady Nur, made me feel so welcomed with her warm service. When I called for room service, VJ, who attended to me, made the extra effort to make my Seafood HorFun extra gravy,as I wanted something soupy - without being asked! That was very nice of him! And Raja, the cab driver, attended to me travels the whole of 2 days, with loads of stories to share! Really made my day!Thanks Ixora! Keep up the good work!!

New and clean hotel with great location”
Very new and clean, Ixora hotel is fabulous for family travelers as the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Love the pillows and blankets, they were very soft until we didn't want to get off the bed. The breakfast provided was fine, but the refilling was slow so we didn't get to eat much except bread and porridge.
