well kept secret”

i was drawn to this hotel due to its garden landscape, fish ponds, herb garden. it doesn't disappoint once you are there, but the initial impression on the way there i was skeptical for the reason it was about 5k from the center of town, the road leading to it was not quite inviting (industrial like setting). but as i said once you get there, the garden theme environment was pleasantly surprised. we stayed for two nights, first in a room that was spacious in a row with other rooms, with fish pond out front, second night the owner we happened to meet on the garden ground who gave us an upgrade without charge to a free standing bungalow, the room was clean, staff was very helpful and accommodating, breakfast was ok, to order a la carte is extra. the bottom line is if you like a quiet and pleasant surrounding place to stay, this is like a poor man 5 start resort without a pool. but if you are into hip hotel, city center with restaurant and shopping within walking distance, this is not it

Thanh Dat Resort is quite and very nice. It is suitable for family trip as of its wide garden & nice decoration. They also serve the food all day with a high quality. I really love my stay here and surely come back if I visit Can Tho again.

Nice customer service”

Clean hotel with big beds. The restaurant is surrounded by trees and plants making it lovely to dine in. There are free fishing rods which make it fun for children. There is one lady at the reception who speaks excellent English and also help to arrange boat tours leaving at the back of the hotel which is very convenient. The hotel also allows take-away breakfast, facilitating very early boat rides. On the negative aspects, the hotel restarant is rather expensive and it is a 10-15 min drive to city center.

For those who wish to stay a little out of the main centre of town but enjoy top-class facilities and food. All at very good prices. Staff are very efficient, helpful and friendly. Staying in one of the resort's Bungalows makes a refreshing change from being hotel rooms.

After four years living in Can Tho a very pleasant surprise to discover Thanh Dat Resort. A few kilometers out of centre of Can Tho but worth the few dollars in taxi fares. Bungalows are top rate and the whole atmosphere of the resort is great. Staff are great and great to see bird life being attended to in what for Vietnam is very high standards.

Garden like Hotel”

The hotel is a little hard to find, but well worth finding. The grounds are garden like with ponds for fishing. Can have staff prepare your catch. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast limited but adequate for a day or two, coffee extra charge. Need taxi to go anywhere. Facilities older but best value for your money, a welcome change. Mostly Vietnamese guests. Staff in lobby speak English and comunicate well.

Hotel is nice with tropical garden”

We spent 2 days at the resort, before we came I did make a phone call to arrange something special, receptionist she is so helpful and friendly to ask me a lot of questions that related my requests and the time we will check in for room arrangement. When we reached the resort around 2:30Pm, the entrance into the resort is seems not nice, but after enter to the resort we were so surprise with nice garden. We did enjoy some activities like table football, carom and fishing.... everything nice.

TOO FAR FROM CAN THO CENTER!!!”

Thanh Dat resort is too far from Can Tho Center. If staying there, you have to take a lot of money to go everywhere by taxi or other means. It is quiet deserted and the road go there is really bad. But foods is delicious.

This is not just a stay in Can Tho, I will say this is my luxury bungalow fully equiped with kid-friendly cafe and garden. My 3 yrs old son love the playground and sand pool a lots! This is truely a bonus to family travel with kid! Thanks those advice given by Mdm Chi and her kindness for offering my driver a room to stay. What to improve : breakfast. The staff request extra pay when I asked for butter and jam, in my omelette set. sigh~ This is ridiculous!

I booked 5 rooms and treated my wife's family to a holiday here The rooms were all good everyone had a great time in the pool and lounging around in the beautiful gardens I highly recommend Thanh Dat Resort

Quiet oasis outside of town”

I was on an extended stay for school and choose this location for it's price and proximity to CTUMP. Aside from the long dirt road leading to it, it's a wonderful place to stay. I would recommend it for short or long stays. The breakfast was basic but free. Staff were friendly and helpful. Tours can be scheduled from the hotel they will be a bit more expensive ($20 per rider) but the lady will bargain and the tour is personalized for you. I would recommend a mosquito just because of the area. Great find!

Great Hotel & Accessible to Chiang Rai Markets”

We had a fantastic time in this resort. The staff are all very friendly & they are fluent enough in English to be able to assist you. The resort itself is on the river & they can arrange for a boat to take you straight from the resort to the Chiang Rai Floating Markets. The surrounding ponds and gardens are beautiful and obviously have a lot of thought and care put into them. This was the first time our Vietnamese host used this resort & she is certain to use it from now on with other international guests.

Great place to stay with a HUGE garden”

This hotel was very clean, had a huge botanical garden, great food, very large rooms, and a nice staff. All in all a great value for your money. It is away from the city, which makes it very quiet. If you are looking for a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay while you do tours (floating market) this is the place. We were skeptical while driving to the resort and it is down a weird alley, but once we entered the resort and walked around we were impressed. We stayed for 2 nights to break up our travel from ho chi minh to phu quoc and were happy that we choose this hotel. It is very kid friendly. A great choice and great value for your money.

Its a resort”

This is a vietnamese resort and its a bit out of the town so if you want to stay in the town and access it's amenities easily then this might not be the place for you. The resort is a 60,000vnd cab from the local bus station and the same again from the town centre. This amounts to 4/4.5 kms (give or take) and if you walk its along grotty roads. There is no local bus service running nearby but you can get xe om from the end of the road. That said, for the price we paid its a good deal, big very clean rooms, good a/c, friendly & helpful staff. The tours are competitively priced and more personal as the boats used are smaller than the others we saw. Veggie options on menu are very limited.

Excellent hotel”

We really enjoyed our stay in the resort, the garden setting was beautiful and the room was just as nice. We were served a complimentary glass of iced tea when we arrived and the staff were very friendly and spoke pretty good English. We followed the advice of other reviewers and booked the sunrise your to cai re market, we elected to arrange this with the tour guide recommended by the hotel. It may have been more expensive than the tours in the centre of town but it picked us up from the hotel and we had a private tour for 4 hours for 30 dollars which we were happy with. The hotel is a 5 min drive from the centre of Can tho but it feels like a world away, and we liked the laid back feel. It would be perfect if you have kids because it had a mini assault course and swings etc. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

I liked Can Tho very much. I will return. I would prefer to stay at Than Dat. A short drive from the city centre, 10 minutes. The approach to the hotel is a little rustic but from then It just got better.

A tropical garden along a canal ”

Luckily the hotel is off the Main Street, even if a bit difficult to reach , as Can Tho is much bigger than we thought.1,5 million inhabitants.it means lots of traffic.but the hotel is very quiet , big clean rooms, with a very well kept garden tons of tropical plants , and some birds, peacocks,. Staff is extremely helpful and kind and. The restaurant serves large portions off local food at reasonable cost, but.many local restaurants around, Scooter or motorbike is needed to enjoy the beauty of countryside and drive along the canals. Doing the boat trip the floatting markets is a must. Excellent value to money. We extended our stay of 2 extra nights to deepen a bit more in the Delta.... Will recommend the place to anyone

Peaceful little ressort in à garden”

Very peaceful resort. Large and confortable rooms. Very helpful personnal. Resort situated outside town but at 10 minutes walk. In a very nice garden with a little botanical garden and zoo. The tour proposed by the hotel to the floating market is a must. Take the tour beginning at 5h30 and ending around 10h.

Excellent option”

Is a different option. far from the city. We knew that and didnt mind because didnt want to visit the city. took a tour from the hotel to the floating market. the short one, only the two of us in a small.voat with the driver. Excellent tour, had fun, saw the markets. We usually dont do tours so if we liked it you probably will. The restaurant there is ok but we had wine and felt like we were in our garden.

The hotel is found in a small street near Ha Noi Cathedral, very convenient for sightseeing. The staff were unexpectedly friendly and helpful. Room were clean. The food was not so good, it's always better to go out and explore local food.
