Very warm and friendly staff”

We was first served with two bottles of drinking water upon reaching. Staff was very friendly and introduce to us herself and bring us up to our room. Room was very clean. But the fan is not working not sure why. The water was running slow. Very near to Tan Son Nhat airport, it's around 20mins without traffic jam. Breakfast served was local dishes and it tasted very good! And then we had fruits and awesome coffee. But homestay in Vietnam are all in small alleys where cars can't enter. Hence you need to walk out to the main road when calling a taxi.

Sound is disaster because next building is under construction and sound proof is really poor”

I cannot sleep well in 3 nights because of noise from the room in higher floor and in the morning because of noise from next building. It is the worst nightmare despite of the low cost but I sware you dont want this deal. Other things: staff, facilities and location is nice but I still cannot take it as a good memory.

Staff were super friendly and the place was very clean and welcoming. We took the smallest room as we had a late flight and was leaving the next day, the room was small and I would definitely pay the extra to stay in a larger room if we were staying longer next time. Great facilities our room came with hairdryer, a welcome pack which included toothbrushes, ear buds, shower caps and bottled water which were a great extra. Breki was also delicious.

Nice little place”

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was small (we just need a place to sleep after our tour) but it's clean. Nice little bathroom with hot water. The hosts are friendly and nice.. They gave us sandwich for our early tour. Outside there's a bus stop. You can ride the 152 bus to the airport for 10000vnd (0.43$). I never got the name of the girl who entertained us on our last day. She was so nice and sweet. She gave us free iced coffee and a pen. Nice place. Nice people..

Lovely guesthouse in a fabulous location”

We have loved our stay at Saigon Cactus. The rooms are so clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are spotless, too. Everything is new and cozy. The views are lovely, too, especially from the rooftop! Breakfast is served every morning and was one of the best we've had in all of Southeast Asia. Staff are so kind and caring, it felt like home immediately.

The staff is absolutely lovely, they helped us arrange our bus to the next city and took their time to recommend us attractions that we should definitely see. The breakfast was very delicious, the rooms were clean and comfortable, internet was good and air con was working really well. We would absolutely recommend going to rooftop because it‘s so beautifully made and a good way to relax after touring the city

Good choice for your trip”

If you are not too picky about choosing a place to rest, this is a good choice for your trip. Very friendly and hospitable staff. The location is easy to find, the room is clean and fragrant. Convenient for moving. There are large or separate small rooms (quite like dorm but have bath in room) depending on your preference. I went back to the next day to choose this place to stay before the end of my trip in Saigon.

Had an amazing experience at Cactus Homestay. The reception was more than wlelcoming, the room, though a little small, was clean and cozy. The rooftop terrace offers a great overview of the CBD and is a perfect place to plan for next day's itinerary while cooling yourself with some local drinks. Recommended!

Highly recommended for backpack travelers”

The accommodation itself is superb from cleanliness and staff service. A bit far from the city center 15-20 minutes walk to reach the city but it's ok for just sleeping. The room is recommended for backpackers there's no enough space for luggages. Upon check-out staff gave us souvenirs & postcard which I find really sweet gesture. Will recommend their accommodation.

Lovely place to stay. Staff were very friendly and approachable and the place was always clean. Breakfast was always Vietnamese style which is nice if you like that (was very good quality). Walking street where all the bars and cafes are is only a 10/15 minutes walk or a few minute grab ride (costs about 25k). Over all a really nice place to stay. Only complaint is the roof top bar isnt actually a bar as there is nowhere to get a drink except from the reception area 5 floors below. It was however a nice place to sit if you take a few drinks up there with you and theres a bluetooth speaker up there for guest to use.

Quaint and charming”

Breakfast options offer local flavours. You get to choose to dine in their dining area, or in the comfort of your room. They also offer drinking water in their kitchen. Bus stop that will airport bus passes by is approximately 20 meters away. This nearby bus stop will also take you to all the major attractions in the heart of HCMC. Balcony of room isn't that romantic, but you can take your morning coffee and do as the Vietnamese do, have it by your porch. Room color combination of red from the bricks and blue from the linens make the room really warm and cozy. The staff, Ms. Fung, is full of energy. We felt the warm hospitality and friendliness of the Vietnamese minus the language barrier. Perhaps if there is an exhaust system in the bathroom, then this place is a perfect 10 out of 10. Regardless, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We cannot give enough stars to this fantastic little hotel! Tucked away in one of Saigon’s charming alleyway neighborhoods, Saigon Cactus Homestay is a cozy oasis with cute and comfortable rooms with refreshingly chilly AC, an Instagrammable roof deck, and the kindest staff who are happy to help with anything from onward travel logistics to recommendations for a nail spa. Breakfast (included and delicious) is sourced from local takeout spots—get up on the early side for more options, and definitely order the bánh cuốn rice noodle rolls if you have not had these yet in Vietnam! If we had to give one caveat, it would be that the mattresses are futon style—not an issue for us but might be if you need a more springy mattress. Otherwise book this lovely place without hesitation!

Lovely place to stay ”

Very clean homestay with lovely rooftop bar ! We really liked it in there ! But the next time we would book a bigger room because in the small room you can not really move if you have backpacks with you

Cheap with no frills”

Nice rooms just like the pictures, comfy bed. Good location on quite street. Breakfast was different every day, very nice. Clean but my parents did have a cockroach in their bathroom, but they are everywhere so that's pretty common. The staff was very friendly, although when we left for the Airport we had to book our own taxi from grab and we almost didn't get out of the homestay because no one was there and they had locked the door and not told us where the key was... Eventually we found it but it was very stressfull, and could have been avoided if they had given us more information. But in all a very nice stay and we absolutely loved the rooftop!! Definitely recommend staying here.

Value for money homestay with helpful staff”

We got a free room upgrade! The room had complete amenities for our stay. The homestay and the room were decorated very tastefully. There’s also a nice private rooftop area for guests to relax, have drinks and play music. Breakfast was nice - sticky rice topped with chicken, lime juice and a banana, to be served at 8am or whenever you wake up. They also had a drinking water dispenser for guests. Staff were very nice and helpful with our requests (late check out, helped us book Grab, helped us find street food we liked etc). Location was walking distance to many street food options. Grab fares were 25k vnd to Ben Thanh Market, 35k vnd to War Remnants Museum and 95k vnd to the airport. Internet speed was good. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we didn’t mind the stairs. However if you don’t want to take the stairs it would be better to check ahead on which floor your room will be. Overall very worth it! Will definitely stay here again when we are in Ho Chi Minh.

Best place to stay”

I was booking room with balcony, and it's was great. even small room but they can make sure they having a space to walk. the house & room interior so fancy 😍 the food soo gooddd, vietnam style and everyday they will chaged the menu. the host meggie *i hope it's right* she always smile and always say hello to you, she super kind, her english are fluent *so do not worry about tho*, she help me order a grab to airport. and they also have roof toop on 5th floor with bluetooth speaker *of course you can use it* to go there at night, i'll be so romantic for couple.

Amazing host and a good place to stay”

The homestay is located not far from the backpacker -center of Saigon. The room are nice and clean as well as very quiet. Breakfast is tasty, vietnamese style and you can get it til late. The staff super friendly. Strongly recommend !

Clean, comfy and accesible.”

The place was easy to find just near the bus stop. Room was as pictured. The area around the homestay is a plus as there are food stalls that are open early morning. You can take a bus to benh than market (152). Their breakfast selection is also good as you can taste vietnamese cuisine.
