Exceptional Services - Signature Halong Cruise”
Although we are switched to Signature Cruise after the booking. The stay is excellent and very enjoyable as the staffs are very friendly and able to assist with everything that we asked. Special thanks to Ms. Harley for all the pre-cruise arrangements and for the lovely flower and birthday cake for my wife. And also thanks to the Ms. Megan the Cruise Manager for the enjoyable trip and special birthday arrangements for my wife during the dinner! Definitely recommend for all my friends and family members and will come back again!

Great cruise with all inclusions”
Really enjoyed this cruise. Paid a little extra for luxury category and reaped the reward to have cooking class, kayaking, tai chi and island cave stop all inclusive. It was clear that although there were many boats leaving the bay we went to an area that had fewer cruises. Staff were super friendly and considerate. Room was great and well appointed. Everything just ran smoothly from luggage being taken across and placed at rooms to the stops for kayaking and overnight. Food on board was great.

We spent two nights on the Halong Athena Royal Cruise. It was so well organized, the staff were amazing, service was of such a high standard and truly made the trip so much more enjoyable! They were so attentive, helpful and friendly the whole way from start to finish. Just the right about of activities and down time. Definitely recommend this boat!! I would love to do this all again! Thank you Athena team! It was such a wonderful experience.

Tim was an excellent host and all other staff were super friendly and organised. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our cruise. The food was tasty, our room was spacious and clean and the activities were well organised and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Five star haling bay cruise”
We had two of the most beautiful panoramic view rooms (athena terraces Suites), food was top notch five star quality and the staff was over the top accommodating and attentive. My husband and I and our two teenage daughters would highly recommend this cruise. Our ever patient and attentive cruise manager, Mr. Ha, Tonic our restaurant manager and Gin, his assistant were the best. Thank you.

We spent a lot of time researching cruises and were so happy with our choice of Athena Cruises- Bai Tu Long. From the moment we checked in, the service and the facilities were 5 star. It was not the typical Ha Long cruise with the crowd and we really enjoyed talking to Tim and Phil. We stayed in the Terrace Suite which gave us our own balcony and space to watch the sunset from the back of the cruise and could not recommend this cruise more!

We stayed for 3 days (two nights) and we absolutely loved it! My girlfriend is vegeterian and I dont eat seafood and they made special dishes for us who were delicious! The staff is so friendly and always smiling! The manager Tim is so nice and makes sure everybody is happy! We highly recommend!

Delicious food, great staff. I think they over charged me on 2 drinks but it was so cheap I didnt care. Chien the cruise director, made us feel like he was catering to us specifically.

Birthday Cruise”
This was an amazing cruise for a birthday celebration. Highly recommend going for one of the premier rooms if you can. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, especially Tim. After a lot of research we chose Athena and can say it was worth it.

Cruise of the choice”
I did a lot of survey before I booked this and has no regrets. If you are looking for mid range type of cruise (not too cheap but not the luxurious type), this is the cruise for you. The staffs are very friendly. There is a small balcony in the room. Else you can always go up the deck to enjoy nice view with some drinks (with charge). Bring a hat or cap, and sunglasses of course if you are going in Aug, and participate in the outdoor activities. One thing to note, drinks and drinking water come with a charge, price is still reasonable. They have one for one for alcohol during evening time before the dinner. Overall, this is a relaxing tour. Enjoy!

Halong Bay Cruise”
Went for a 2 nights 3 days cruise at Athena. Service was good! Our cruise manager Chen was excellent! Food was good as well. I feel that the rooms however were a bit old, some of the things were falling down, and the drainage wasn't that great. However, given that it's a cruise, the room size was decent.

Difficult to understand the ratings it got on Agoda....”
We took 2 days, 2 nights package. 1. It is illogical to almost insist on to and fro transport from Hanoi at higher rates by the Cruise management and that too insisting on 16 seat vehicle for a family of 4 at the rate of $215. We got it 7 seat vehicle at the rate of $ 160 in spite of veil threat that we will be responsible if we failed to reach before time. 2. The vegetarian food for an Indian family almost not there. No knowledge of Indian Veg food. 3. No complimentary simple drinking water available for lunch which is complimentary. We have to buy the water to drink from A la Carte. It's strange! 4. The schedule is so fixed that we will have to eat, sleep and have fun as per their timetable.. Back to school....!!! 5. Offered an upgrade in new Athena cruise which was not new but renovated one. 6. No proper welcome drink or snacks at the reception.

We had a difficult time choosing which cruise due to the many options. However we chanced upon Athena Cruise and decided to go for it due to the many excellent reviews that we saw and we didn't regret it! Athena Cruise is the BEST out there. We had a very memorable and wonderful time on board, everything went smoothly and we were so impressed by the warm hospitality of Tim and his team. Tim was super awesome, managing everything so well and making sure we followed the schedule whilst ensuring that all guests were happy. Keep up the great work Tim and team!

Great Cruise at Ha Long Bay”
Pros: Boat is newly renovated and the rooms are very modern and clean - The service staff was excellent (Assistant manager Mr. Chien was very attentive to all guests ensuring the best experience possible) - The excursions and sight seeing was organized very well and timed so tourist traffic was not too hectic (the time we travelled may have been a factor, Nov.) - Food was fantastic, lots of variety and well made - We mentioned it was our honeymoon and Mr. Chien subtly areanged a worker to provide our room with a lovely cake and rose petals/swan towel design which was a memorable and nice touch. Cons: checkout time is at 9am from rooms, it is understandable as they must load guest luggage onto another barge and prepare us to get back on land. It did feel a bit rushed and impersonal, but was really the only “con” for us. Great company!
