Great breakfast”

No pillow cases although I already informed the security guard who took me to the room. He hinted that I should tip him for showing me to my room. I didn't have any luggage and I had been to quite a few hotels. I know how things work. There was also no parking at the hotel so it was inconvenient for guests with bikes. The only great thing about the hotel is its breakfast. Varied and delicious.

The breakfast is good, changing food every day and the room is clean also. But the hot water is not stable after 10 pm.

great location .. value for money”

I booked this hotel very last minute and very happy that they had room available. Check-in staff very friendly, helpful. Great location as Circle K nearby and good coffee place on doorstep that does varied food menu. Less than 5mins to Ben Thanh market and agencies to book day trips outside HCM. Bed was very comfortable, very quiet. Shower had continuous hot water ... very relaxing. good choice of cable channels. Provided free bottles of water daily. There is a fridge and in-room safe.

Spacious room ... aircon not so great”

Checkin: Staff very friendly and checkin process very fast. We reported issue with the aircon and was resolved quickly. Although temp set to lowest 18c, it still felt like 24c, took a while for it to kick in. Room is spacious, very comfy bed. good selection on cable tv, wifi very good. Bathroom - they provide toiletries, shampoo and shower gel. There was no hairdryer in room but was able to grab from a vacant room on same floor. Check out: We asked for a late checkout as we booked for 5dys and they said it was fine with no issues. Very speedy and efficient. Breakfast: Was incl in the price but did not try it. Location: 5mins walk from Ben Thanh market. lots of foodie places nearby and even on your doorstep. And of course, there is Circle K if you need to buy snacks/toiletries/drinks. Negative: The aircon not that powerful. at times hard to sleep during the night. There is only one lift which is very slow but this is normal in Vietnam.

well located, quiet room, not huge but nice with modern bathroom. Breakfast buffet basic but great to have for the price. Nice people... safe was broken in my room and you should use a safe for your passport etc.

Theres a staircase prior to entrance, where neednt to worry as the employee there are ready to help you anytime, including when you are leaving the hotel. Short walk to ben thanh market and close to eateries/ massages/ bar/ convenient stores. Breakfast's taste is good. Will visit again

Pleasant Stay nearby to Malaysian Street”

I love how the staff handled my booking room. At first they informed that they missed my booking and would like to transfer us to another hotel but then, they managed to pull it out and we can check in to our room. The breakfast was decent but it could be better if they are halal and it is just walking distance to Malaysian street and Benh Tanh Market

No English speaking, very hard to communicate. From the airport to the hotel, a taxi costs around 2.000 VN. Watchout, they are always trying to cheat you.

Nice Location”

Just the location is nice. First day check in facing problem as they said we did not pay full amount. After one hour of explanation and clarify, finally settle. AGODA and Hotelbeds never do proper communication and make us waste time there. Abit speechless. Anyway, staff are friendly and nice.

I am extremely satisfied with the hotel staff service and food. I found the hotel reception staffer Jenny very friendly, cheerful, helpful and professional in her work. She was so kind that she allowed me to check in very early and even ungraded me to a bigger room! I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Ho Chi Minh. A job well done, Jenny!

Yet I can tell the hotel is a bit old, the WiFi and air-con faulted briefly, but promptly attended by the staff. However my friend took a cold shower as he did not have hot water. Fortunately my room did not have such a problem.

We stayed at the Shambala Saigon Hotel for three nights are really enjoyed it! The location was perfect, being central in District 1 meant we were able to walk everywhere. Was really impressed by the breakfast buffet each morning, a great variety of food and the staff were super lovely! We would 100% stay again.

First of all there was no staff was there when we arrived had to wait to be checked in Then again it took so long due to language not understanding. The room was given to us had no windows so asked to be changed for more money she wanted payment there and then we offered £s but no she wanted combodin money at the end we said it’s 1.30 am let us sleep then we will pay you tomorrow Anyway it was long checking Breakfast is ok very few items

Under new management”

It was an older hotel that changed owners. The new management seems to spent some efforts on the facilities. Everything works, clean towels, good quality toiletries. Breakfast is somewhat limited but the made-to-order egg station does a good job trying to please everyone. Good value for the price.

This cosy hotel is really good value and centrally located to many tourist sites, restaurants, tour agencies, money changers and even offices, if you're there for business. The famous Ben Thanh Market is a five minute walk away. Very convenient. The hotel staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and they make your stay just great! Breakfast is a good spread of local and western food and fantastic Vietnamese coffee. I highly recommmend this place :)

Experience was Fantastic”

I have stayed at Shambala Saigon the past few occassions and I have to say the experience is really very consistently good. The porters, front desk managers, food crew and even cleaners provide good service--friendly, efficient, responsive. Porters help you carry luggage, stow away luggage fast when your room is not ready. Front Desk managers are helpful, provide good tips for dining, currency exchange, sightseeing, basic tour tips. Breakfast is substantial comprising of Western and Vietnamese choices, from bread and eggs to Pho Ga--Chicken noodle soup--and fruit etc. The spread can be improved and new dishes introduced. I also love their Coffee and Tea. Really good aroma and taste! Housekeeping is thorough and fast. Location-wise, this hotel is very central to everything. Most of my meetings were in District 1 which is where the hotel is located. Dining choices are everywhere and open early till late so no problem for that. Tour operators, ATMs, amenities all nearby.
