Nice rooms situated next to the mall”

We stayed at the Island Club Hotel and Apartments for 4 nights in Nov 2017. It was a nice stay - the rooms are nice and big with great views of the canal. The location has its pros and cons - its right next to the Canal Walk Mall so its quite convenient like that but its a 25-30 min drive from lets say V&A Waterfront, which we didn't mind. Its a safe and secure compound which we loved. The breakfast was decent, nothing to write home about. The housekeeping did less than acceptable job with cleaning the floors though.. we noticed that they were not being properly cleaned on our third day when we couldn't walk barefoot in the room without the dust glueing to our feet. Overall, it was a nice and comfortable stay.

I have enjoyed my stay. I love the location of the hotel with the mall that is easily accessible, you walk to the mall. I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family when they visit Cape Town.

very good position for shopping, movies and restaurants. lovely to sit on your own balcony and look over the water. staff very helpfull came to our rescue when car battery was flat. enjoyed the nice bath in the room. will definately be back.

Everything was great, clean facilities and friendly helpful staff, The outdoor pool could be more cleaner, the breakfast could have more options and fresher fruit also covered for flies, otherwise enjoyed my stay.

No WiFi in rooms. Standard of furniture not up to standard. Old Televisions and very poor reception. This need upgrading. Friendly service from staff.

Nice hotel but security is too much”

My stay was compromised by the fact that the hotel security systems is awful. Even for the hotel guest, to enter the gate takes a longer time, because the guard is busy with something else. Internet was super slow, and took almost a day to solve the breakdown communications.

Small hoteal that is far of the downtown but close to the century city area.The hotel is a little old. It is better if the price is lower.

Did not like the fact that we were put in block B... and it was raining, had to either use the car, or get wet to have breakfast? It was not that busy... why not in main block? Design of bathroom bad, where the tap is you almost need to get out of the bath to use it! Bad design... my view. Had to fix curtain rail, still loose... will fall on next persons head as well
