Great for the price!”

My stay was great for the price (under 45 usd for 3 nights). I was a bit disappointed that the sauna and karaoke facilities were out of commission until further notice (Agoda didn't say anything about this). However, the location made up for it, being only a 10 to 15 minute walk to Big C and Central Plaza (not hard to find after asking hotel staff for directions). The morning/day market we went to (probably about 3 km away from the hotel) was 20 baht per person via tuk tuk so it was quite affordable.There were still quite a few restaurants in the vicinity that I still wanted to try! The hotel staff were always polite and helpful; plus, they always kept our room clean stocked up on towels and two complimentary glass bottles of water per day. There was a small, privately-owned place to do laundry about a 30-second walk in the alley across the street from the hotel's main entrance. There was no actual dryer but the washer (we used the 10 baht/load one) was great during the final spin cycles as our clothes were only still damp when the washer finally stopped, so we just laid out our clothes to air dry in our room's spacious closet (took about 4 hours to completely dry). I would recommend the room to anybody looking for the price and service I got.

I don't know why this place has had such bad reviews. We had a superior room for very cheap, it was very clean and spacious. A tuk tuk to town center was about 60 baht. Worth it for us. Friendly staff. Highly recommend for couple travelers.

Ideal Location for Nightlife ”

Stayed here for 3 Nights . Had to change room 3 times.Due to a nosie problem on Night one. Night 2 was No hot water to Shower . Rooms are Average and this is a old school hotel .Its what it is for the Price so for the Budget Concious traveller it is ideal . Cheap room rates and Good Location . However for me I would not be staying here again there are several other Hotels in Chiang Rai although more expensive are more suitable to my taste.

I was traveling with my grandma , with disability guest. And hotel staff was very kind , helpful. Whatever we did asked for , they always assisted us very well. And even near by hotel got night club , Restaurant with Thai buffet foods. All you can eat !! Super !! It is located near big shopping malls !!

I was kindly upgraded to a huge room. Views of the mountain and at tree top 4th floor East wing. The mall and entertainment is just minutes away. TawanDang, Sugarbeat, and a few others.One which I don't know the name is huge and on the east side. I did not have any noise problems on West side. With huge windows it was a relaxing room with a comfy bed and nice pillows. This is an older building and there was many areas that needed mainanance however, everything worked fine enough for me. Things not important to me...TV only had a few Thai channels, wifi was useless, hot water not 100% consistent. I continued to stay at this hotel for a total of 4 well rested nights.

Its a seemingly old 4-star standard hotel. Staffs can speak English and were kind and helpful. There's a bar-club few steps away. Grab and tuktuk is not easily found in this area, but you can book taxi with their assistance.

Clean”

First off, a car is a must for this hotel due to its location. It is a great value and is clean and neat, but it is old. Breakfast is simple and meager, but OK. The best deal are the large rooms! You are within walking distance to many small shops, bars, and restaurants. Best deal of all is that you are directly behind the mall and across from the mall is the Big C shopping center. The mall also has a nice theatre. This hotel usually has rooms available when all others are sold out!

Well, I stayed here 1 year ago, it was fine, is an old hotel but the things in the room were all working well. NOT THIS ROUND!! the first room they gave me, the tv remote is not working, the water heater is spoiled. Technician came to look at the tv problem, bring the remote control away & never came back. Finally after 30 minutes, reception staff decided to change the room for me, this time, the room is so dirty, it’s like never been stay by anybody for a long time. The fan for sucking out the air in the bathroom was drop out & half way hanging with the wire on & still functioning. The bathtub is fill with lizard shit. Tv only 1 channel is clear, the rest are blur channel. Told the reception again about this. After shower, reception call my room & he say he offer me another room which he already checked that everything are functioning properly,ask me if I would like to change,I changed. All good accept WiFi is not working, next morning I told reception about it & it was fix at last.

Step back and see a place that was a real gem in its day and still presents itself well. We loved the decor and style of the rooms. Actually has carpet. Bed was fine. Close to shopping, Central Plaza. Breakfast was pretty good too.

Not so old hotel but never maintained ”

I was surprised about the hotel and property around because so massive land are belong for hotel and pop and etc but no maintenance and still look worn. Inside rooms seems clean but you can see every facility are worn and too old. Especially in bathroom is obvious . Bed and mattress very hard and worn if are you have sensitive back and body defiantly you got a problem. Around hotel look ancient hotel just lobby is acceptable. Staff all are friendly and nice behaviour. Breakfast is so so. Internet was horrible as well. Hotel location is not bad because close to many night clubs and Big C supermarket and Plaza mall.

If you don not care about the beauty and luxury. Then this hotel might be a place for you. Both inside and outside the hotel is run down. But the cleanliness is ok. The air conditioner works great. The TV signal is bad. Wifi is not stable as well. But the price is kinda acceptable. The staff is nice. No lifts. But you can ask for 1st floor room.

The hotel was old and dated but reasonably clean. The room was nice and big with plenty of space. We probably would not stay there again because of the bed. It was so hard it felt like we were lying on a slab of concrete. Both myself and my wife had very little sleep and both of us had sore backs and shoulders. We were both tired the next day which made our long journey very tiring. My back is still sore two days later.

If you would try pub and restaurent around here, this hotel would be good for you. Cheap price, a lot of carpark except only there is an old hotel.

Dated hotel”

I was hasty when i relied on the photos n booked the superior room. My mistake, so I decided to move to another hotel. The hotel's dated, aircond was noisy, carpets musty and beds stiff. Its also next to a huge nightclub. Location is good if you got own transport and food stalls are all around. The staffs are helpful and friendly.
