Small Boutique packed with goodies”

Icon is a small boutique hotel with luxurious features in a very convenient, central location of District 1 in Ho Chi Minh City, close to tourist attractions and restaurants. Despite its size, it is jam-packed with goodies like a nice rooftop with a swimming pool and a bar. The breakfast was also high quality. Only thing to keep in mind is that some of the rooms do not have windows facing outside. In these rooms, the windows open up to the vents with open roof. But even these rooms has positive features like completely shutting off the hustle and bustle of busy HCMC traffic noise and city lights, which allows for good night's rest. I happened to actually enjoy the dark and quiet features of the room, especially since I was travelling with a jet lag.

Chic Design Hotel w/ Magnificent Downtown Location”

Located in the Heart of Saigon with Saigon Opera House in the neighborhood, lots of things to do just in walking distance: multinational restaurants nearby just like a Foodie Heaven; promenade around the Opera House or further to Nguyen Hue Walking Street to discover The Café Apartments; having a sighting cruise on the Saigon River. Back to the hotel: newly built w/ trendy interiors, everywhere is #InstagramSpots, esp. lovely Rooftop Infinity Pool to enjoy sunshine and Saigon Riverview. Moreover, the hearty breakfast buffet feeds the hungry morning stomachs. If you stay at the Icon Suite, you may enjoy a huge bathtub for total relaxation. A great choice in Sai Gon!”

I visited the Saigon in Nov 2020 and booked this hotel for two nights. The hotel is in a very great location. It's near the Walking Street in 1st District, and easy to access various tourist attractions nearby. Though, it is quiet enough. The room is clean and the furniture looks brand new. I also like the overall design. The main tone is light pastel and white. The staff is very helpful, reactive and nice. They always support our request in a speedy manner. Breakfast is good. The menu is renewed, the food is fresh and tasty. However, the hotel is doing the renovation in the top floor. That's why the bar is being closed during this time.And the pool is dirty, though they do not prevent guest from swimming. The gym room is actually small and not many equipments. Another thing is the hotel lying between other high buildings, so the views will be limited from your window, even you have opted for outside view, and seems blocked to see more further.

Nice location / staff friendly”

Good service from Front desk . Rapidly check in and available to early check in. and served welcome drink. Good function in the room / USB port charge/ free all soft drink in refrigerator. Impression for afternoon tea , not only tea but also appetizer traditional food bar / bakery/ fruits. Recommended to stay here when come to Ho Chi Minh.

Hidden Gem”

The ICon was a hidden Gem. It blended in with the surrounding buildings and you would easily bypass it which would have been a shame. Due to some travel changes I arrived very early and was very tired. I was greeted with smiles and a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. They took all my information and apologized that my room was not ready and wouldn't be until check out. I wandered out for breakfast and had to do a few things. I came back about 11:30am and luckily my room was ready. I had a front room with a balcony and the room was perfect. Everything was high quality and everything worked well. I never really figured out the room safe and someone had to come up a few times to open it up. All the staff was great, always smiling, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast had enough variety and again a very helpful staff. There is nothing I would complain about with my stay and in fact it was one of my better overall hotel experiences. I recommend it , without hesitation.

Exceptional”

A fantastic room, with nice equipment at Icon Saigon. There is just one thing that could improve, we book the Signature Room which includes the minibar but there are only two bottles of water & coke in the minibar.

Overwrite the record”

This hotel just overwrite my “best hotel in HCM” list. Definitely my best one now. It’s not the fancy or luxury hotel if you are looking for the 5 stars hotel. But it’s a great value. Room is clean, I booked the room with bath tub and the shower system is separated, so one of us took shower and the other enjoyed the hot tub at the same time. Hot water is always supplied, it’s very rare in HCM’ shoreline. Staff are lovely, breakfast is great. Swimming pool and gym are a bit tiny, but not many people came for these so it’s totally fine for us. We had a great morning gym&swim here. Would love to book this hotel again definitely.

New hotel in a Good location ”

Pros: location is perfect, new building, very clean, nice rooftop bar, very friendly staff, Netflix & Amazon Prime, comfortable bed. Cons: very small rooms, virtually no sound insulation between the rooms, (almost) no daylight in the room, AC works but temperature doesn’t remain constant. Didn’t try the breakfast or afternoon tea. WiFi was ok with little connection breaks (Seconds really) I wouldn’t stay again because I prefer bigger rooms, but I knew upfront what I had booked, and I am happy with my stay. If rooms size isn’t an issue, or you’re one person in a room, this hotel is really good.

Booked premium king, however window still gets blocked by the building itself. Out of window a total mess - better keep curtains off, which is a waste of booking the room with window. Room s small but has everything needed. Toilet is behind the door, not very easy access. Location and being new are the best selling points.

Looks good online”

The room looked good online but in reality very small and very dirty. It looked as though under the bed had never been swept and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in a non smoking hotel. The pool was also full of algae and the rooftop lounge prices were very expensive. The fans in the room are for decoration only and do not work so the air does not move in the room unless you have the AC unit on so there is always a dank smell in the room.
